This is literally like years old, been sitting unfinished for so long. And despite how bad I think it looks because Ive grown as an artist and I told myself I’d redraw it where there are actual hands and anatomy that makes sense. I just am lazy and don’t want too lol. I just decided to color in the rest and I’ll send it off to tumblr, here’s a lil fam comic of Roy, lian, and jade. Is this good parenting???? Probably not 👀

Some of my simple thoughts on Donna ships:

Donna and Roy: wholesome, I enjoy when they have their moments. They have a deep respect for each other and it shows. A relationship born out of friendship and trust. Good ship.

Donna and Kory: literally my favorite ship, they have some of the most beautiful moments and they always help each other and fight for each other. There’s a very sweet subtlety that plays out with these two. So good, love this ship.

Donna and Kyle Rayner: Although not my number one, I honestly thought that this was a really nice arc. They really do care about eachother and I wouldn’t be to mad if they ever tried this again between them. However I don’t see this being anything long term considering how that relationship went down.

Donna and Terry: I hate Terry with a soul-sucking passion. Donna was so kind and Terry only ever tried to dim her sparkle. This man was grown and mf professor and had a major power imbalance with her, and tbh he couldn’t handle the fact that she was strong and smart and wonderful. Dude blamed her all the time for shit, and then didn’t let her see her kid. Terrible ship.

Is there a Donna Troy ship you love the most? Why? Also did I miss any?

Wanted to show the complexities of this relationship and how they both struggle deeply with being often at the opposite ends of each other.

The sad thing with this is, despite both not wanting Lian to grow up with a long of what they both went through, lian often did get caught up in the crossfire at times and had to witness a lot. Which what I was trying to symbolize through the pink being color-coded as the A in war.

I really wish that dc would let the titans grow up. Like they constantly want them to stay young adults forever but that only leaves so much room to explore, let them age please. Just a little, like they fr only let Roy be his age when he’s actively around Lian and when he’s not they strip him of any maturity and growth. They are constantly toying with Dick too and reverting him back into some 19 year old despite Roy supposedly being a similar age to him. I would love to see how a 38 sees the world, I would love an older adult version of the titans. I truly don’t think it would bring down readers, I think people are yearning for this stuff in the comics. At least wally has been shown some good writing sprinkled in, I adore seeing his marriage with Linda and him being a father of three. The struggles with that, the shenanigans of parenthood and having to be more mindful of being out on the field. Same with Kory, I would absolutely adore to see a more mature Kory and her interactions with the world. I want to see things like wanting to settle down, dealing with more responsibilities and how to manage that with superhero life, seeing past actions in a new light, I just wanna see them age a bit 💔

I would even be satisfied with just a single one off comic depicting this pls

I’m literally so sad over Donna and her not getting to reunite with her son that I had to draw them being happy together flying through the night sky + Kory bc I love her and she needs to see her nephew too

Just something to put into the void, is anyone else kinda upset that Donna hasn’t had the chance to reunite with her son? Like, they showed that Robbie is alive over a year ago now. Roy got Lian back, but Donna deserves to have her baby boy back too. Idk it just kinda hurts like the poor lady went through so much, she deserve her child too. I love Donna’s character so much, she preserves even in the face of pain. I wish blackest night was talked about in the same way that cry for justice was, it was so messed up to put a parent through those things. Let Donna get Robbie back, not Terry tho. Terry Long can stay gone, I’m sorry if Terry has any fans I’m a certified hater of terry
