Eye eye! Something fishy going down at Upfest. #upfest (at Upfest - The Urban Paint Festival)

My 12ft X 8 ft piece for @upfest. Two great endangered species, the sperm whale and the black rhino. Mashed up and contained in Hirst like formaldehyde. Have to say always find it challenging to come up with something decent when painting on boards (90% of artists get boards at upfest.) my usual street pieces are woven into the wall. This hits the spot I'm hoping with its inventiveness. Revisiting an old concept of mine from 2013 when I placed Damien Hirst in formaldehyde in a field of cows. This one more of a play on his shark turner prize winning conceptual art. Down super quick as my wife is 7 days overdue on the birth of our second child, gulp. #upfest2016 #upfest #bristol #whale #rhino #spermwhale .... Ps, I have an edition of four of these available via the website. Link in bio. (at Rising Sun Bs3)

Pretty pleased with the final Lion for @womadfestival just over the road from Malmesbury. Updated the background colour to make it more fun. Had to deal with a strong cross wind when spraying today so I incorporated the wind into the lions mane in the composition. If you want to see the finished lion then come and see my festival art gallery at Womad in the main arena. Malmesbury folk feel free to share and like this post to spread the word a little please. (Next job... Planning for Upfest in Bristol this weekend!)

Prep work for the backdrop for my art gallery at this years @womadfestival at Charlton park (they have a lion on their logo) Think I'm going to totally change background to rainbow colours as the black is rather dull. Check previous Facebook post for live video of me painting this. It's rather hot today so I'm mostly going to be sat in my garden with my daughter and rather heavily pregnant beautiful wife!

Something about the marriage of wood and spray painted nature that goes perfectly with one of my stags. This is the fourth time I have visited the subject. The previous three editions selling out. Timeless. The new version is on the shedsite with more details or message me direct for local pick up. £40 each.

Tree trunk Tiger. How awesome is this? The thing about my street art and art in general is I try and let the wall or piece of wood dictate the composition not force something onto my canvases that doesn't click. Created this chunk of wood messing about with the chainsaw, grinder and sander the other day with no idea of content. Tigers to me are quiet, beautiful and silent animals that just so 'click' with the idea of it being and maybe hunting behind a window of barky wood. This measures 40 X 19cm and is ready to hang. Weighing a few kg and about three inches thick. All the bark has been treated with Danish oil to bring out the colour and texture. Message for price details. At the very least thanks for all the likes and shares ;)

Sneaky paint at Malmesburys very own Boondocks festival. Sort of Malmesbury but in a field. I have painted a panda Bowie mash up in the Boondocks blue and yellow colours, very pleased with him! Just using the scraps of old flat things found and recycled on site then cable tied to a fence. If I made some small versions of this for the festival would people be interested ? Say £30 a pop same size and price as the Bowie Michael Eavis. Edition of 10 stencilled. #panda #boondocks #boondocksfestival #spraypaint

Art is a funny thing. Around 6 months ago on hearing the news of my Glastonbury successful trading application I went down a pretty psychedelic route. I love my three eyed cat friend but I have to say had mixed success when I took it along to my more conservative markets. So I decided to put him under wraps until Glasto. Re homing the cats became a mission and a challenge. A friend of mine (Rik) spent the Friday with us on the stall drinking our cider and generally abusing customers. I went to the loo late in the afternoon and upon my return Rik tells me he has sold the first three eyed cat! Thing is, he sold it to himself, then immediately gave it away to some 'kid', then asked me for a discount! Hey ho, one cat down three to go! ............... A bloke passed our stall with a three eyed cat t shirt. We heckled him over and gave him the hard sell, not a sniff. ..... Sunday night, came and went, no more sales booooooooo... One morning last week the website was on fire not one but two three eyed cat sales! Turns out that one of the cats caught the eye of a BMX biker dressed in gold spandex, a customer from last year. The cat had played on his mind so much that he just had to have it! Within ten minutes another cat gone. This time to a mystery customer in Surrey, randomly a few roads away from my sisters house who happened to be helping me over the glasto weekend on the stall. Spooky. One cat left and the very next day I get an email from Alex Holland / DJ badly, the guy who won the shed of the year competition the year before my tv appearance with his shed with a boat for a roof. Again, he was mesmerised by my kitty when he saw it in person at Glastonbury and in a gin fuelled session made me an offer I could not refuse....... So there you have it. Art always find its rightful owner, a man intoxicated with strong cider who purchased the cat and immediately gave it away, a gold spandex bmx biker, and a previous and very eccentric shed of the year winner. I would so love to know who the bloke in Surrey is and why he purchased the cat. Please send me a message or comment if it was you and tell us all your story!
