whiplash was written and directed by damien chazelle and andrew neiman was played by miles teller. the story follows a passionate college-aged drummer, andrew neiman, who attends an elite music academy. the film details his journey through abuse, music, and growth.

this film was absolutely gut-wrenching and anxiety inducing; it's very much a dark film with themes of abuse and passion. for me, it begs the question, is abuse employable if it creates stars or is it a lethal loophole? abuse can both shape and break someone and this movie does quite the justice to this concept.

i've always had a hard time going to concerts, but going to this tour was one of the best decisions of my life. regardless of how insignificant this concert may become in a couple years, i will always cherish the experience and the people i met on the way.. thank you aidan for being one of the best artists i know!
