Hey guys. Due to short or nonexistent checks in the house, we're having some pretty serious rent trouble. We were due yesterday, and now we owe for it plus $10. Our daily rate is $50, so with a $10 fee each day, it'll put us at about $300-360, which is more than a standard week of rent. But if we were to pay today, it would be about $260 ish with yesterday. Vast difference that's painful.

I'm working again and getting paid weekly now, which is nice, but it's hard making it to Friday sometimes. Any help that's given would be deeply appreciated. Also apologies if my math is wrong, it's 4 AM and I'm exhausted.

Duo and i are out of food. We eat because I make candied nuts and fudge at work and I'm getting physically sick of it. We were going to go to a food bank today but I woke up in excruciating pain so bad I had to call off work. I cant afford to be doing that even if my boss is a saint and is giving me hours on hours.

Ellie is in Puerto Rico and has essentially left us here. Sure she's on paid vacation but it doesn't help us. We're living on borrowed time until the hotel is forced to make us leave. Duo and i are working with our therapists to get into public and/or income based housing but those lists are massively long. I've seen that post where it advises to ask reddit for help, but almost all of the subs have a minimum karma requirement that I don't meet. I'm trying, though.

Please. Any help you can give is enough.

[So I’m still finishing moving everything to PillowFort, and still thinking if I should do the same with the unfinished RPs I can continue there with the current mutuals who are also setting their accounts there. I’m still figuring out how to it, but probably will end moving the whole threads (something that will take work since Tumblr is harder to navigate when it comes to RP) and maybe using the same or another one to keep going? Ah, this is familiar. Haven’t used this since my old bank account went belly-up that it’s a wonder that it still works. Well. Here we are again. We still live in the hotel. I have a new car thanks to fortune smiling on us for once. I’m turning to new avenues for help that don’t let me use straight-up paypal like I’m used to so I’m returning to this with my new bank account. The goal is of course not set in stone, it never has been. We’re looking for enough money to put down on an apartment’s deposit and downpayment which can range from $1-2k here depending. I’m looking at income-based housing and seeing lots of waitlists and age restrictions that reserve the spots for the elderly. I need to get an oil change by about 1k miles and getting my car looked over wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Duo and I both have jobs again and we’re working, but almost all of our money goes to this hotel. Thank you so much for your patience with us and your continued help.

Bit of an emergency this time.

Got two text messages in a row, one saying my car payment was due Sunday and the other saying it isn't due until the 11th. Just now I got one saying I do in fact need to pay it.

I just started my new job And duo's been off sick. We absolutely don't have the moneyfor it right now, talking about $250-300. I can't afford this car to be repossessed.

I'm desperate. Please, any help anyone can give us is saintly.

Emergency Request!

If you know me, you know that I don't use that phrase lightly. But this, in fact, an emergency.

My car's brakes are GONE. As in at this point my brakes are gravity and friction.

I get to nervously stare at this when I drive (this was taken at a red light). I haven't known fear like I do when I push on the brake pedal and nothing happens. I've looked around locally and I saw a sign at Meineke where they do financing for brake jobs but I don't know if I qualify for that. I think they're closed today because I tried calling them with no answer. We had someone who would do it but they need cash which we don't have. All I is they're roughly $80 an hour for labor, and I have no idea how many hours they'll need or how much parts are.

Along with that, I have surgery in the morning on 9/3 which has me missing work tonight as well as potentially a lot this week. Heck, as of Saturday, I've only been scheduled 15 hours this week (thanks, boss). Yes I'm trying to find another job, but until then I have to carry on.

Our other option at the moment is to rent a car. This is Enterprise's cheapest offers for this week:

Worst part is that I don't think that $257/261 includes the deposit, which could be up to $100.

You see why this is an emergency, yes, dear reader? We barely make the $325 per week that we need to stay here, let alone are able to plan for emergencies like this. Please aid us if you can. This is desperate.
