Reading: Urusei Yatsura because Rumiko Takahashi's comedic timing/sense is unparalleled and I'm almost done reading her entire catalog

Earworm: Sugar Water Cyanide by Rebecca Black--the entire album (Salvation) is great but this song keeps bouncing around my head

Youtube: Why do so Many Gacha Games Pretend to be Japanese? by Moon Channel, a 2.25 hr long lesson on cultural exchange and the history of animation in Japan, Korea, and China. Another entry in my, "everything is semiotics!" list.

Knitting: the second sleeve on a linen-cotton/silk-mohair brioche rib 3-season sweater, Earth & Air by James N Watts (a favorite designer). A low-yardage pattern to help aid in my "stash-busting" quest.

update 2 on my third painting!

this was supposed to be a “quick & dirty” exercise with a new brush set…lol

now I’m working on a flattened, duplicate canvas because my og kept crashing procreate 😅

i think one or two more sessions to go before I do the final linework & am forced to consider the background!

also, I need to change my screen protector but I’ve never had to remove one before—any tips?

(this one I started off trying to do a “quick n dirty” painting with a gouache brush set… and it still is that but now there’s *also* overly detailed linework lol)
