If I may propose a silly Ninjago headcanon: every time it’s the start of the season and the ninja are so out of shape bc they’ve been slacking off training and playing video games since the last villain was defeated, Zane is faking.

The guy is a nindroid, a machine built specifically to protect the helpless citizens of Ninjago. He probably has all his training constantly in his memory bank, ready to put to use. His physical abilities would never deteriorate, beyond needing oiled and cleaned a bit every once in a while.

But every time his friends are feeling bad about being out of practice and sloppy, he plays along to make them feel better. Wu knows ofc, it just makes him even more exasperated.

it really is rewatching sons of garmadon and realising harumi is the reason they lost the mask of deception. she drops it during the bike joust and then she's the one to reach down and fail to pick it up. it's just rewatching it knowing she's the traitor and realising that even at the start she's sabotaging the ninja.

misako is a character that I always wished got more screen time and development. like I wish lloyd's initial hurt was more drawn out. not even in a lloyd doesn't forgive her sense, but in a, lloyd forgives her (because he's lloyd and he has to be the kind of person to forgive and forgive and forgive because of his dad) but just because he forgives her doesn't mean they click instantly. I want a few scenes where the hurt continues to fester because forgiveness comes easy but healing takes time.

like just a few scenes where lloyd unintentionally throws the abandonement in her face because he's a kid and he's not entirely sure how to process his anger healthily yet (it's a skill he never truly learns as he simply learns to repress his anger until it grows and grows, and his oni blood begins to overwhelm him). but also moments where neither of them are sure about how to exist around each other. lloyd uncertain about how to accept maternal love when he's spent so long without it, and a part of him still hurts over the abandonement even when he understands why. and then misako wanting to make up for lost time and shower him in love but not knowing how to bridge the gap her leaving created.

I know it was never gonna be something they covered because it's a kids show, but like mannnn does my body crave seeing it.

I need more of Cole and Lloyd. I see a lot of Kai and Lloyd being bros. But what about him and Cole?

I need them sneaking into the kitchen at night to eat sweet stuff. I need Cole helping tie up Lloyd's long hair in a ponytail like his during training, so he doesn't get it in his eyes. I need kid Lloyd climbing all over his giant big brother to play wrestle and Cole going super easy on him cus he's just little guy.

Give us more Cole and Lloyd! It's severely lacking!

The fact that being possessed by Morro for a short enough time to create a video left Ronin shivering and curled in a fetal position on the ground

(Ronin, who is characterized as being tough as nails and unbothered by most things)

Says a lot about how fucked up Lloyd must've been by being possessed for multiple days, actively fighting the possession at the same time

The fact that in the same scene he can stand and sass Morro is IMPRESSIVE. Lloyd's resiliency is insane and he deserves like the top five therapists in Ninjago rn

A very underrated Lloyd moment is in the Ice Chapter when he repairs the mech by himself. Sir- since when are you an engineer?

He's not and that's why it's so cool.
