hi hello wuzzup tired communications senior here popping in to say i wanna write and pursue my artistry again
#i went through my collection of poems and musical concepts#and like i have not thought about those in a long fucking while#but like...they are legitimately good ngl FKDSFK like no cap they are decent#and the musical concepts...fuck i miss them#im getting senioritis now and like though i see a clear career for me in journalism and news production and whatever professional field#like i have built up my repertoire to qualify for those easily#however i feel like i have neglected my artistry#aka what really drives me apart from journalistic storytelling#and i miss that#and like if i do say so myself - some of my concepts could work...#like Patron could work...#like i dream of meeting LMM one day not just because i am a fan but because i dream of finding out how to break into this sphere#at this young age#i have added barriers of well PINAS and also NOT RICH and also NOT A CREATIVE DEGREE HOLDER#and i want to figure out how to break those barriers#because when i reflect upon what has driven me and what will be driving me forth#it is not success in academia or fame in journalism that drives me#rather it is the want to create and spread my art#art that i know has unique worth one way or another#so yea if i dont figure that out soon i feel like i wouldve wasted my years#and part of me feels like ive already wasted them but thats silly because like college is hell so much has happened#i made a name out of myself already - just not so much progress on what i truly want to do perhaps#personal shit#also hai my guys how you guys doin

#the two are such interesting roles#I'd love to have the time to dissect the both of them#ESPECIALLY GABE BECAUSE HIS VERY IDENTITY AND PRESENCE AND MEANING#differs depending on how you look at it -#and that big gap in meaning is so hard to properly pull off in theatre that it's so interesting I love it#so um yea next to normal is a good fucking show and one of the most emotionally charged and complicated shows I've been into in recency#the only other show that I think can rival next to normal in terms of emotional chargedness is the mad ones#such a good show will ramble about this soon#and also I have a Tagalog translation version in my head#personal shit#next to normal#guys I'm alive I promise work is just shit

Been thinking a lot about the kpop demon hunters movie actually and though I lament the lack of a joke towards dispatch because that would've been golden, the premise and the conflict is like,,,eerily accurate to kpop for me. Because,,,of course the generational girl group talent with multiple hit songs and a world tour under their belt would be Legitimately Threatened by a new pop boy group with no albums or tours or prior visibility other than One (1) Simple Cutesy Song and their Cutesy Boy Aesthetic,,,because that trope and pattern is not only plausible,,,it fucking exists! It's Just That Easy For Boy Bands to threaten girl groups to this degree due to audience appeal and the demons and the movie itself Damn Well Know This!
And it does not fucking help that people are going gaga over the Saja Boys more than they do the Huntrix girls IRL too! Art imitated life and life imitates art!
#this is not a hate tweet towards the saja boys as i like them too i like absy#however It Is An Observation because like! of course the boy band with only one single easily threatens the Established Girl Group!#because for the boy bands its just that easy - just be attractive as fuck and play to appealing to the audience even if it is obviously#heavily manufactured#and voila instant hit#so like no wonder the huntrix's got pissed even besides them being demons#because It Is Simply Just That Easy for the men#and the demons KNOW this - thats why they really stick to their goddamn tropes because It Works!#hell its fucking working with the audience reception right now - i have seen more people demand for more saja boys in the sequel#than more huntrix background exposition#like. as a media student it would b easy to blame this on the media - but now its a bit hard especially when the movie is#very tongue in cheek with how it shows how easy the boy bands got it#kpop demon hunters#netflix

Continuing through some routes in the hundred line and it is so interesting for me to see an Uchikoshi Protagonist in a very Kodaka setting and narrative with characters that mostly have that best Danganronpa-esque character development arcs in hope with them. Like, it is very VERY interesting to have what I call the dumbasshole uchikoshi archetype (see: Junpei, Sigma, Date) take the lead in a role that would suit the likes of Makoto, Hajime, and Shuichi better in rallying the people in their kindhearted leadership.
but takumi is different. takumi, at the end of the day, however kind he may be, is incredibly and inherently selfish. Which makes things oh so more interesting
#that being said he is also an annoying little punkass#but yea this is a unique protagonist for me because this is like if junpei and akane got switched#like takumi for me has that akane 999 streak in him if you get what i mean#stopping at nothing to get the ending they want even if it means hurtjng the ones around them#which is so interestkng to see in a game that just screams danganronpa 54 because we just never really had protags like thay#because at the end of the day the protags danganronpa had were all rooted in HOPE and stuff#but not this one fjdjd takumi does not give a fuck about the world if it meant karua wasnt in it#and thats not danganronpa-esqye#that is just so so uchikoshi taken to fhe extreme - by giving the main character akane's insight and powers#so yea as much as YOU ANNOY ME TO DEATH TAKUMI#he is one of the more intriguing protagonists yet#the hundred line#the hundred line last defense academy#izzy reacts to the hundred line#kotaro uchikoshi#kazutaka kodaka
