THINGS TO DO INSTEAD OF EATING
1. Take a walk. Exercise like this always keeps me from being hungry for a while after I finish. Also, if you go on an hour long walk, listen to music, chances are that the time you get home you wonât be hungry anymore and you will have thought about how itâs really not worth it to eat.
2. Watch a movie or TV show. Netflix is a great place for that. If you have on demand, thatâs great, too, but stay out of the kitchen if your TV is anywhere near there.
3. Write a song, short story, or poem. It always helps me if I write about eating disorders and how I want to be thin. Itâs triggering.
4. Clean your room. Not only does this make you feel more sane, but it also burns mindless calories while you scramble around your room.
5. Homework. Get ahead if youâve already finished it.
6. Listen to music. Find new music.
7. Draw a picture. Again, I like to draw pictures of skinny girls and caption them.
8. Read something online: fanfiction, online books, listen to an audiobook, research something that interests you.
9. Take a shower. A long shower. Unless youâre in a drought.Â
10. Drink coffee, chew gum, keep your mouth busy. This fools your stomach into thinking youâre actually full.
11. Write a list. Write a wish list, a list of things youâve always wanted to do, count your blessings or something. Write a list about yourself. Write a list about all the reasons you want to be skinny.
12. Go to the gym, go on a run, work out. This is the perfect alternative to eating.
13. Shop online. Amazon is the website I look at most. You donât even have to buy anything. What I usually do is look up furniture and imagine what my apartment will look like.
14. Call a friend or family member or maybe even make a plan to hang out. If you do hang out, though, make sure you donât bring a lot of money so you canât buy a lot of food.
15. Write a to do list for the week and get organized.Â
16. Edit photos youâve been thinking of posting on Instagram or Tumblr or Facebook.
17. Drink a full glass of water.
18. Brush your teeth: peppermint suppresses appetite.
19. Think about how beautiful youâll be when youâre thin.
20. Do sit ups or exercises you can do anywhere. Yoga, oblique exercises, crunches, leg liftsâŚ
21. Take a nap. Sleep boosts your metabolism.
22. Paint your nails. This way, you have to wait for them to dry in order to eat and the smell of nail polish makes food sound unappetizing.
23. Make up scenarios in your head about what life will be like when youâre thin and confident. Think about the things youâve always wanted to say but been too scared to actually say them. Write them down.
24. Drink tea! Look up health benefits of different teas. Itâs massively helpful.

You know what breaks my heart? Kids who were always told that they were too smart and used to be overachievers but now they have depression and anxiety and other mental illnesses and canât recover because the bar was always too high for them and they just sit and suffer silently watching everyone else get on with life while trying to be what they used to and trying not to commit suicide but they canât talk about it because âYouâre smart youâre gonna figure it out yourself â . Nothing is more disappointing than knowing that no one will help you as you sink deeper and deeper into darkness and believing that all your high hopes and dreams will remain dreams forever. I feel you kids. You are not alone .

You looked really beautiful today. I know you didnât feel like it. I know you may have eaten âtoo muchâ and felt bad. Maybe you didnât work out as hard as you think you could. Perhaps the scale didnât say what you wanted it to say. But despite all of the things that went âwrongâ, one thing went good.
You woke up.Â
You woke up and you survived another day, you got through the minutes and I am so bloody proud of you for doing that. You are stronger than you feel and stronger than you think. You just need to realize that.
Even with all the internal turmoil, you still looked like the most breathtaking person. Thank you.

Sweetspo (for myself)
Please donât eat. PLEASE donât eat. I know you think you donât care right now. But you will. Look at all those clothes you want to buy when youâre skinny. Donât you want to have those thin thighs and a small waist? Donât you want to be delicate? Please donât eat, honey. You can do this. You donât need food. Youâll be okay. Just get through the day, and you can eat tomorrow. PLEASE look at thinspo, try as hard as you can to get back into this mindset. You can do this. You WILL be skinny.
