The Mexican Grand Prix had finally arrived, and YN would have given anything to be there with Oscar. But this time, she couldn’t. Filming commitments for The Last of Us kept her miles away, stuck between sets and scripts, far from the chaos of the paddock. Still, not a day passed without her finding a way to send him a little encouragement—funny memes, late-night texts, or even public posts wishing him luck.

A couple of hours before the race, Oscar slipped away from the noise, hunting for a quiet corner where he could breathe. The paddock was buzzing—journalists everywhere, mechanics rushing back and forth, fans chanting his name—but he only wanted one thing: to see her face before stepping into the car.

Finally, he found a chair near one of the hospitality areas, pulled out his phone, and hit call.

The screen lit up, and the second YN’s smile appeared, Oscar couldn’t help but grin like an idiot. She was in her trailer, hair tied up in a messy bun, wearing an oversized T-shirt, looking both tired and impossibly beautiful.

“There you are,” he said softly, like he had been looking for her all day. “I needed to see you before the race.”

YN raised an eyebrow, teasing. “So I’m your lucky charm now?”

“Maybe,” he shrugged, a small smirk tugging at his lips. “Seems to be working.”

She laughed quietly. “Well, don’t let me distract you too much. I wouldn’t want to be the reason you miss a corner.”

“Impossible,” he said instantly, shaking his head. “You’re a distraction I don’t mind having.”

Her cheeks warmed at the comment, but she hid it with a playful bite to her lip. “Alright, smooth talker… How are you feeling? Nervous?”

Oscar hesitated for a moment before admitting, "A little. Mexico is a big one. I just… I want to do well.”

YN’s expression softened, her voice steady and warm. She leaned closer to the screen, as if she could reach him.

“Listen to me, Oscar. You’re already amazing. No matter what happens today, I’m proud of you. Just go out there and do what you do best.”

Her words hit him harder than he expected, calming something inside him. He looked down briefly, trying to hide the smile he couldn’t control.

"You always know how to make me feel better,” he murmured.

She grinned. “Maybe that’s my secret talent. Actress, best friend, motivational speaker… I can do it all.”

His eyes lingered on her through the screen, something unspoken in his gaze. “Best friend, huh?” he repeated, like he was testing the word.

YN swallowed, suddenly flustered but trying to play it off. “Well… yeah. Unless you’d like me to call you something else.”

Oscar smirked, tilting his head. “I’ll let you decide that.”

She rolled her eyes, laughing nervously. “Go race, Piastri. I’ll be watching, screaming at my TV like a maniac.”

Before ending the call, he leaned in closer to the camera, voice low. “Wish me luck.”

She smiled softly. “Good luck, Oscar. I’ll be cheering for you.”

And then they hung up, both left with the same warm, unshakable feeling in their chests. Whatever this was between them, undefined and unnamed, it was already starting to mean something.

The paddock was alive with the roar of engines and the chatter of mechanics, but Oscar barely noticed. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and a familiar smile spread across his face before he even answered.

“Hey,” YN’s voice appeared on the screen as soon as he picked up the call, her face lighting up his phone like a little sun in the chaos of the Grand Prix.

“Hey,” he replied, trying to sound casual, though his heart was racing faster than any car on the track. “So… I saw the interview.”

YN leaned back, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, her smile teasing but soft. “You did, huh?”

He nodded, even though she couldn’t see it. “Yeah… you said there’s still no label between us. Just friends… but you know, it feels like there’s more.”

YN’s laugh was light, melodic. “I guess we’re both thinking the same thing. It’s complicated, Oscar. We’re supposed to be friends, but… we both know some things aren’t just friendly.”

He leaned forward, elbows resting on the edge of the table, watching her face closely through the screen. “I didn’t want to assume. I mean… I don’t want to mess things up between us, but I can’t ignore it either.”

She smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes. “You’re not messing anything up. I like the way things are, the way we are… even if it’s messy, even if it’s confusing sometimes.”

Oscar’s lips curved into a grin. “Messy is one word for it. Driving a Formula 1 car at 300 km/h is another. But right now… right now, this—talking to you—this is my favorite part of the day.”

Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she looked away, hiding a shy smile. “You always know what to say to make me laugh… and maybe think a little too much.”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “I’m trying, okay? Don’t blame me if I fail spectacularly sometimes.”

YN laughed softly again. “You’re doing better than you think. I like it. I like… us.”

There was a pause then, a comfortable silence as the distant sounds of engines and team radios filled the background. Yet somehow, it didn’t feel like noise—it felt like a world they had created just for themselves, separate from everything else.

“Are we really okay with this?” he asked finally, voice low, almost vulnerable. “With not rushing, with… keeping it undefined for now?”

“I’m sure,” YN whispered, her eyes softening, glinting with something he couldn’t quite name but felt in his chest. “We’ll figure it out. Together. No labels needed yet. Just… us.”

He smiled, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “Together,” he echoed, letting the word linger.

YN leaned closer to the camera, her grin contagious. “Now go win that race, Oscar. And don’t crash, okay? I’d be really mad if I had to watch the replay of that.”

He laughed, a genuine, carefree sound. “Deal. But only if you promise to keep cheering for me, even when I’m driving like an idiot.”

“I promise,” she said, playful and sincere all at once. “Now go, my favorite driver. Show them what you’ve got.”

He waved at her through the screen, feeling lighter than he had all week. “See you later, YN.”

“See you,” she replied, her smile lingering even as she started to look away.

Oscar watched for a moment longer, letting the last bit of warmth from her face stay with him, before YN tapped the end call button. The screen went black, and the facetime ended—but the connection between them felt stronger than ever, unspoken yet undeniable.

Night had settled over Monaco, the city lights shimmering against the sea. From her apartment, YN was enjoying the calm when the sharp buzz of her phone broke the silence. She glanced at the screen, and her heart skipped a beat: Lando Norris.

She considered ignoring it, but curiosity got the better of her. She answered, and his voice came through—tense, urgent.

“I’m outside. I need to talk to you.”

“What? What do you mean you’re outside?” she shot back, standing up quickly.

“Just come down. Please, don’t hang up.”

For a few seconds she hesitated. She didn’t want to see him, not at that hour, not after everything. But with a weary sigh, she grabbed a jacket and went downstairs.

The night in Monaco was cold, the sea wind rattling against the building’s windows. YN walked down with tense steps, every muscle telling her not to, but there he was: Lando, under the streetlight, hands in his pockets, eyes blazing.

“What the hell do you want?” she spat as soon as she saw him.

“Your interview,” he snapped, almost spitting the words. “You talk like what we had was perfect. Like I don’t exist anymore, just some pretty memory!”

She laughed, bitter, sharp. “And what did you want me to say? That you cheated on me with my cousin? No need. Everyone already knows.”

Lando stiffened. His voice cracked into a shout. “You don’t understand! Things got out of control!”

“No, Lando!” she stepped closer, finger pointed, her fury trembling in her voice. “A ‘mistake’ is sending the wrong text. What you did was betrayal, and public betrayal at that. Do you know what it was like for me to be laughed at, to be pitied, to be asked about Magui like I was living in some cheap soap opera?”

His fists clenched, his voice raw with rage. “I loved you! Damn it, YN, I really loved you!”

“Well, if that was love… I’d rather have hate.”

The silence between them was heavy, broken only by the distant hum of cars. Lando’s chest heaved, until his expression twisted, something new flickering in his eyes.

“And now what?” he spat bitterly. “You’ve already found your replacement? Going to put a ‘label’ on Piastri?”

YN’s heart lurched, but she didn’t flinch. “Oscar has nothing to do with you.”

He let out a humorless laugh, almost spitting his words. “Of course he does! You think I don’t see it? Everyone sees it! You look at him the way you never looked at me… and it kills me.”

YN’s gaze burned, anger and hurt laced together in her voice. “The only thing that should kill you is shame, Lando. Not Oscar.”

He stepped forward, eyes red, consumed with jealousy. “He’ll never love you like I did.”

She met his stare, tears pooling but her voice unshaken. “I hope not. Because if he does, it better not be your way.”

She turned on her heel and walked back inside, slamming the door shut. The sound echoed like a final sentence. Outside, Lando stood frozen, chest burning with jealousy, fury, and shame, completely alone under the streetlight.

She hugged herself, searching for comfort that wouldn’t come. She needed Oscar. His calm, his smile, the way he looked at her and made her feel safe; she wanted that more than anything else. But then, like a shadow creeping silently, doubts arose.

What if everything they said about her was true? What if she really was just a slut, a manipulator, someone who played with others’ feelings? The word echoed in her mind like a cruel echo. Maybe… just maybe… all the security she felt with Oscar could shatter if he discovered her “flaws.”

The thought of walking away from him crossed her mind, fleeting and painful, like a lightning strike illuminating a storm. But even that thought left a hollow ache in her chest that made her tremble. She didn’t want to lose him; she didn’t want her world to crumble because of words spoken by others or ghosts of guilt that weren’t hers to carry.

She stayed there, leaning against the door, taking deep breaths, trying to calm the trembling in her body and the fury contained in her mind. She knew she needed clarity, she needed strength… and above all, she needed to decide whether she would let Lando and the world’s opinions define who she was… or finally allow Oscar to be her anchor in the middle of the chaos.

The silence wrapped around her, broken only by the distant hum of the city. Suddenly, her phone vibrated on the table. Her heart raced automatically: she expected it to be Lando again, ready to argue, ready to accuse her of something else.

But it wasn’t. This time, the screen displayed a different name. Oscar.

“Oh shit…” she thought, her breath trembling slightly. She didn’t know if she felt more relieved or more nervous. Her finger hovered for a moment before answering. All she wanted now was to hear his voice… but she was also terrified of what he might say.

A little break between the Singapore and United States GPs.

Oscar, YN, Alexandra, and Charles decided to escape to a small island in Greece called Mykonos, where they would spend almost a month enjoying breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, delicious food, and each other’s company—along with their adorable pets, Nala and Leo.

They spent their days exploring hidden beaches, cooking meals together, and just relaxing away from the chaos of the F1 season. Every evening ended with laughter, sunset walks, and the kind of memories that last a lifetime.

Oscar had chosen a small seaside restaurant in Mykonos, one of those hidden places where the tables were so close to the shore that the sound of the waves blended with the soft background music. The place was lit by lanterns instead of bright lights, giving everything a warm golden glow.

YN had been nervous the whole way there, wondering if this was just dinner… or something more. But the way Oscar looked at her when she laughed, the way he listened so intently, it didn’t feel like “just friends.”

They talked about everything: racing, silly stories from school, even their favorite foods. At one point, Oscar leaned a little closer, his elbow brushing against hers. YN froze, heart racing, but he didn’t move away. Instead, his hand stayed near, almost inviting.

When she reached for her glass, their fingers brushed—light, accidental, but charged with something that made her cheeks burn. Oscar smiled, not his usual calm smile, but a softer one, like it was meant just for her.

“Sorry,” he murmured.

“Don’t be,” she whispered back.

After dinner they walked back to the hotel together, but instead of going up to their rooms, they decided to take a stroll along the hotel’s private beach. When the break between the Grands Prix ended, everyone returned to their respective lives, and of course, for the next Grand Prix—the United States GP—YN would be there to support Oscar.

And here we are, at the United States Grand Prix. YN and Oscar arrived at the paddock, but this time she didn’t feel intimidated by the cameras or the fans. On the contrary, she was radiating happiness. And Oscar? He looked absolutely luminous, his grin impossible to contain.

All of this was being watched by Lando and Magui. Lando felt jealousy gnawing at him, and an inexplicable urge to punch Oscar. Why? He had no right—he had moved on, or at least he thought he had—but still, he couldn’t stand seeing YN with another man. He wasn’t used to it yet.

On the other hand, Magui wanted this. What no one knew was that she had always envied YN’s life. Their family had always made a clear distinction between YN and Magui: both beautiful, but YN was the family’s golden child. Magui could never stand seeing her happy.

YN walked confidently through the paddock, holding Oscar’s arm lightly, smiling at fans and photographers. She felt a little thrill knowing Lando’s eyes were on them, but she didn’t care—she was with someone who truly made her feel alive.

Oscar leaned in close, whispering something that made her laugh softly. That laugh—it was like music to him. He couldn’t stop stealing glances at her, and when she caught him, he just smiled shyly, as if she were the only person in the world that mattered.

When the news of Lando’s interview broke and her phone started buzzing with hundreds of tags, YN felt a wave of dread. She was in her apartment in Monaco, sitting with Oscar, enjoying a quiet evening before the chaos of the Mexican Grand Prix, unaware that this little bubble of peace was about to shatter.

Her smile vanished the moment she read the headline. Lando. Talking trash. About her. About them. The audacity made her blood boil. After everything, he still thought he had the right to drag her name through the mud.

YN’s hands trembled slightly as she scrolled through the article. “Honestly? I think all of this between her and Oscar is just revenge…” The words stabbed at her like ice. He had no idea what she had been through. He had no right.

Oscar stepped closer, taking her hands in his, grounding her. “Hey… don’t let him get to you. This is our life. What matters is right here, right now—us.”

YN drew a deep breath, her chest heaving as she tried to calm down. She wanted to scream, to throw her phone across the room, but instead she exhaled slowly.

“You’re right,” she admitted, her voice softer now, a faint smile breaking through. “He’s not worth it. Let’s just… enjoy tonight.”

Seven days had passed since Y/N had agreed to go to the Singapore Grand Prix with Oscar. Was she regretting it? Maybe—but not because of him. The thought of seeing Lando again made her stomach churn, a feeling she couldn’t shake.

Just as Oscar had promised, he picked her up from her apartment and took her to a beautiful restaurant on the outskirts of Monaco. The view was stunning—almost 6 p.m., with the sunset painting the sky in warm, golden tones.

Everything was perfect from the start: he opened the car door for her, offered his hand when she stepped out, pulled out her chair at the table, and of course, he brought her flowers—beautiful lilies.

The conversation flowed naturally, with no pressure and no awkwardness. Even the little silences felt warm and comfortable, just the two of them gazing at each other.

“So, I’ve seen your projects, and honestly, I’m really impressed. Besides being such a beautiful woman, you’re also a great actress, YN,” Oscar said, taking a sip of his wine. His cheeks flushed slightly—he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable or put any pressure on her.

It had been a little over a month since YN and Lando’s breakup.

During that time, YN had grown closer to Oscar. At first, it was just simple messages—“good morning,” “good night,” little things that soon turned into late-night calls while he was away in other countries, and visits whenever he had free time.

It was undeniable that something was slowly blooming between them. YN could listen to him talk for hours about the things he loved without ever getting bored, and Oscar, on the other hand, couldn’t hide the way his eyes lit up whenever he saw her or whenever her name came up in conversation.

He longed for her to come to a Grand Prix—any Grand Prix. He needed to feel her presence there, to run to her after the race, hold her tight, and just stay by her side as if the rest of the world didn’t matter. But he didn’t want to pressure her. He knew it was still hard for YN to see Lando, and the last thing he wanted was to put her in an uncomfortable situation.

Still, the thought wouldn’t leave his mind. And Oscar was willing to do whatever it took to convince her to join him for the Singapore Grand Prix.

Of course, YN spent the night thinking about what to do—she only had seven days to decide.

On one hand, she wanted to go with Oscar, knowing how important they had become in each other’s lives… But on the other hand, she couldn’t stand the thought of seeing Lando, and even worse, seeing Lando with Magui.

After a lot of thinking, she realized she had no other choice. If she wanted to move on and be strong, she had to face her fear. She wasn’t going to let Lando win. If he could play games, she could play too—better than him.

YN sat on her bed, turned on her phone, and opened Oscar’s chat. She wasn’t doing it for revenge; she was doing it for Oscar, and for herself—to prove that she wouldn’t let Lando or Magui affect her.

Lando’s summer break was about to end, but the last two weeks had been strange. He was on his phone all day, barely paying attention to Y/N, and she was starting to notice.

When they got back from vacation, there was still a week left of summer break, but Lando was never home.

Now, Lando was getting ready to go out. He’d put on a comfy shirt, some shorts, nothing fancy—but the cologne he wore filled the room.

“Are you leaving already?” Y/N asked, looking at him from the bed, scrolling through her phone.

He nodded. “Yeah, I have to help a friend with something.”

“What friend?” she asked, wanting to know everything.

“Max.” Lando said curtly.

“Okay… be careful. I love you.”

He didn’t respond. She sighed and stayed home

Of course, Y/N had seen the picture of Lando and her cousin. She couldn’t believe it—why had he lied to her so many times?

When Lando arrived at the apartment, Y/N didn’t even want to say anything. She was tired of fighting; they had been doing it for weeks.

When Lando got into the shower, Y/N took the chance to grab his phone. But it wouldn’t unlock, and that only frustrated her more.

Later that night, once Lando had fallen asleep, Y/N was still there, holding his phone in her hands.

“Please God, help me unlock this… if I do, I’ll take it as a sign that I need to leave.”

And almost as if it was divine intervention, the phone unlocked.

She scrolled through it, going into every app until she found the chat with Magui. Messages full of love, hearts, pictures of the two of them after…

Y/N felt her chest tighten in pain. She didn’t want to create a huge scene, but the truth was—it was all too much. She had to leave, quietly, but she had to.

She got dressed, grabbed her phone and a few things into a small bag, took her car keys, picked up Nala, and left. But where to? Charles and Alexandra’s place. Nobody could understand her better than them.

When she arrived, they were asleep, but woke up to the sound of the door opening. There she was, completely broken.

“Oh my god, Y/N, what are you doing here?” Alexandra didn’t hesitate for a second before pulling her into a hug. Charles helped them inside.

“I found out that all this time… Lando has been making a fool of me. He cheated on me, Alex,” Y/N sobbed.

“What? With who?” Charles asked.

“Magui. My cousin.” Y/N broke even more.

“Hey, we’re here, okay? We’re not going to let you go through this alone. You and Nala can count on us,” Alexandra whispered, holding her tightly.
