Perfect. Taking the seat, Lottie’s just about to fully introduce herself when he keeps talking. “I know right. You’d have thought all other cafes in this place woulda been shut down,” she answers, shooting him a smile of her own. Cute and charming, looks like Lottie found a potential winner. He was no hot grocery store boy - but she would gladly take a hot coffee shop boy instead. “How lucky for us indeed. I’m Lottie La Bouff, by the way.” She includes her last name out of habit, so used to it actually meaning something back home. Plus it makes it much easier for him to find her social media accounts later when he hopefully tried to look her up.

“I know, that’s usually why I like to come here. It’s a little more chill than the others. Well, it normally is. But I guess the universe has a funny way of making things happen,” he chuckles. Tom grins a bit as she introduces herself. “I’m Thomas Lune. Or, um, or Tom, you can just call me Tom.” He doesn’t know why he defaulted to saying Thomas whenever he used his last name. Just felt more professional maybe? Whatever. “It’s wonderful to meet you Miss La Bouff. Y’know I’m surprised I haven’t run into you before. I definitely would’ve remembered that smile,” he says, leaning an elbow on the table. She seems like she was flirting. Or starting to. She gave her full name, which he felt like people only did when they were awkward or wanted you to remember them. And she definitely didn’t seem awkward. And if she wasn’t flirting, well... hopefully she wouldn’t dump her coffee in his lap if he started to.

“Well hello, handsome,” Lottie mumbled to herself as she checked out the stranger sitting by himself in the cafe. He was a lot edgier than her normal type, but that beautiful face made up for it. Luckily for her, the coffee shop was quite crowded today so she had a perfect excuse to approach him. With her basic pumpkin spice latte in hand, she made her way over to his little corner and placed her free hand on the back of the empty chair across from his own. “This seat taken by any chance?” @thomasxlune​

Tom looked up when he heard the voice. “Oh, no, go for it,” he replied, waving his hand to let her know it was all good to sit. She looked like she was royalty or someone from a TV show; perfectly made up and the cutest outfit. She was pretty cute, he had to admit. “Crazy how busy it is here today, huh,” he said, then he gave her a little smile. “But that means I get to sit with you, so it seems things have worked themselves out.”

. He feels the arm around him and looks to see a familiar face a little taller than she should be. He gives her a grin. “Oh, only because you asked so nicely, my good friend,” he hooks his arm around her as well. “But if anyone asks, you know you gotta tell them I voted Hex Girl’s right? Got an image to uphold,” he jokes, knowing full well it’s pretty open knowledge to most people who know him that he does in fact quite enjoy boybands.

He smiled when she returned the sentiment but then she says ‘but’, and he can’t help but feel everything falter. He felt his temper wear thinner but it wasn’t Star’s fault. It was his own. He holds that down inside him, trying to just continue because she’s making valid points and he thinks that’s why it’s stressing him out and making him so upset. “I...” he started, but he had to think about his words. Not because she was right and he was just saying this to say it, but because he knew he needed to explain this right. “I don’t think I ever stopped loving you. And I don’t think I ever will, but maybe the way I love you will change at some point? That sounds stupid, I don’t... Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything, because I didn’t say it to hurt you, and I’ve been trying so hard to get myself to a place where I could say it and know that I wouldn’t hurt you again by saying it but maybe--” Tom shook his head. “I started worrying that I’d never reach a place where I finally felt like I was a better enough person to be able to say that to you and not hurt you with it. But maybe I was right to worry, maybe I was wrong to think that it’d ever be right to say it because I don’t ever want to hurt you, Star, but I know that I can and that I do.” He shook his head again. “No, you’re not ruining the mood, I definitely am. I just... I do mean it and I’m saying it because I mean it, and I’ve wanted to for a long time but now I’m worried that maybe I shouldn’t have. Because as much as I want to try and think that I’m finally in a better place, maybe I’m not. And maybe I’ll never be. But even if that’s the case, I couldn’t stand not letting you know that. And I’m sorry that I hurt you and I’m definitely going to try so much harder to not hurt you in the future. And, um, like I said, I’m always gonna love you, but if you want me to just... love you as a friend or something so we don’t have to worry about the hurting part, I... I can do that too. I just thought that it was time that I was a little more honest about my feelings...”

“ only twenty minutes to sleep ”

Tom couldn’t help but groan a bit as he dramatically flopped face down into the pile of pillows they were on. “Mabes I don’t work that way, if I fall asleep I’m out until I’m rested,” he muttered, tired of staying awake. He rolled into his side and rested his forehead against the side of her leg. “Or just like, give me thirty-five minutes, we’ve been marathoning these movies all day; and we’ve seen them. it’s okay if I miss the first fifteen minutes, I’ll catch back up, just let me rest.” He peered you at her. “You know I’ll get cranky if I don’t,” Tom cracked a smile, but they both knew it was true. As much as he would hate to admit it, there were a lot of aspects of his life that it could be unclear to a stranger if they were talking about Tom or a toddler.

Get to know THOMAS LUNE who’s TWENTY-TWO years old and a SENIOR in college majoring in HISTORY. He is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for CHANCE PERDOMO while others say he reminds them of TOM from STAR VS. THE FORCES OF EVIL.

Headcanons 

Tom definitely has a soft spot for his friends. He’s very protective of them and he feels lost without them.

He loses a lot of confidence when he’s not angry and not around his friends. Like he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to be doing. He has some secret insecurities that he’d rather not share with others.

While Tom isn’t unhappy with his life, he goes back and forth with the attention he gets from it at times. Sometimes he likes to pull the ‘don’t you know who i am?’ card, but other times, he’d just like to be out and about and not have to worry about any of it. 

The only issue with all the new people coming to Corona is he’s not a fan of how claustrophobic some places have gotten. 

Tom knows he’s into some weird things, and he’s okay with that. From his taste in music to fashion to movies. Some might call it intense or creepy--he’s pretty sure he’s heard the term Satanic once--Tom still likes what he likes.

Growing up in a wealthy, powerful family, Tom went to a lot of formal events and cotillions. So, he’s gotten to be a pretty good dancer over the years. 

He does a lot for his friends. He feels like the money he does have should be used to have fun with them and also to do things for them.

He went through a rebellious stage--some might say he’s still going through it at times-- though, when he was younger, he would set things on fire at times, just to watch them burn. He’s gotten over this for the most part, but he does still think fire is an interesting element.

He’s still not perfect, and he knows he’s far from it, but Tom is working hard to become a better version of himself.

He has a few bad habits like smoking and occasionally drinking. Just little things that help him calm his nerves. He’s trying to get better about it, but there are still some things that get him to that point. 

He’s close with his parents. More his mother. In his mind it’s not because she’s his biological parent, just that she gets him more. But he does wonder sometimes if that’s why she does.

Tom can be prone to jealousy, though again, its something he’s trying to work on. That’s not as easily fixed as his anger though. And his jealousy can often spark up his temper.

He can come across as childish at times, especially when he doesn’t get his way. 

Tom is studying history in order to be a better royal. He hopes to one day be what his parents expect of him. 

One of the things he’s most interested in studying is religion; he thinks it’s interesting to see all the different things people believe in. 

Fun Facts

Tom has a therapy rabbit to help him control his anger. His name is Marshmallow and Tom loves him very much.

Tom has a motorcycle that he did get to spite his dad for saying it was dangerous, which is clear because he’s not the best at riding it. 

Tom spends a lot of his free-time playing video games and ping-pong. He can get pretty competitive at times and may even be considered a sore loser.

Tom has lots of piercings. Both his ears are pierced, he has second holes on his lobes, a cartilage piercing on his right ear and an industrial on his left. His right eyebrow is pierced, he has a septum piercing that he probably wears the least. And we’re gonna just be honest his nipples are also pierced (he usually just wears a bar)

He loves boy bands, but he doesn’t let most people know that. 

Powers

Tom loves having fire powers but he’s not great at keeping them secret, mostly because they’re heavily tied to his emotions.

He’s trying to get better at controlling them, but that comes along with controlling his anger, which has been a struggle for years.

He does like to burn things for fun though. He is, at his core, kinda a pyromaniac. Always has been and this is--forgive my pun-- just fuel to that fire.

Tom has a lot of tattoos, some given to him by friends, some given by himself, and some he got professionally done.

Connections

Star Butterfly - One of the most serious relationships he’s ever had. They broke up because of his anger issues and Tom struggles almost all the time because of it. He’s never been great with his feelings, but he did love Star and a huge part of him still does but he won’t tell her he still has feelings for her--like true deep emotional romantic feelings--because he worries that he’s still too temperamental and that he isn’t better than he was.

Marco Diaz - A close friend of his. Well, sort of friend. Tom thinks their friends. Sure he teases Marco and is maybe not always the nicest to him, but they have a lot in common and he does really enjoy hanging out with him.

Barrel Bordes - He knows the guy and has gotten into a fight with him on at least one occasion. He knows he messes around with Star and Tom just can’t control his anger and jealousy since he feels like Barrel is a worse version of the same type of asshole that he is.

Mabel Pines - One of Star’s friends that quickly became one of his friends. She’s wild and fun to be around. She’s one of the only people who has put glitter on him and he can’t be mad at her for it. The flower stick and poke he has on his arm is in honor of her. Also he playfully flirts with her at times. 

Jackie Lynn Thomas - One of the coolest people he’s ever met. He’s almost jealous of how cool she is but he would never admit that. She’s the kind of laid back that he wish he was. 

Pacifica Northwest - An ex of his that he got together with as a rebound after Star. He was definitely the asshole in that relationship and was just using her to move on and really didn’t care about her feelings in it all. 

Wanted Connections

Friends - Even though he won’t admit it, Tom is always in the market for some friends. They can be acquaintance like friends or best friends, it doesn’t matter. Just people who are patient enough to put up with his bullshit.

Flings/Hookups - Tom is very open to open relationships. He can like a lot of people at the same time and does enjoy either one time things or casual fwb situations. 

Exes - Tom is notoriously an asshole at times so it’s likely that he has a fair share of exes where things have not gone so smoothly.

Romance - someone who has a crush on him, or someone he has a crush on that goes deeper than physical attraction. He gets a little weird when he knows he has emotional feelings for someone and he’s trying to be better at that, so if you’re in the market for an awkward angry pyromaniac, do I have the boy for you.

Enemies - Okay so enemies might be a strong word, but people he doesn’t like. Tom has a long list of people that piss him off and perhaps this person is just one of them or, like Barrel, they’ve done something that grinds his gears at a more personal level.

Instead, in what felt like the cattiest way he could’ve retaliated, Tom did just what he’d suggested and poured the drink over his head. “Oh, shit, oops, my bad,” Tom said, his words still laces with the venom of his anger. “And y’know I couldn’t give a shit if you found me attractive or not, so why don’t you just get the fuck away from me before you embarrass yourself anymore than you already have.”

Marco was standing with his hands buried in the pockets of his hoodie, and at least there was that; while no hoodie could be called a dress hoodie, he figured this was the closest thing he had to whatever that might be, it wasn’t the same one he threw on just about every other day. That said, he was standing at the edge of a lawless dance floor with his hands in hoodie pockets, and while Tom had every right to call him on it, that didn’t make him any less affronted when he did. “I can do crazy,” he exclaimed, brows drawing together. “And even if I couldn’t, I could handle this level of it. Tom smiled as Marco tried to argue his point. “Oh, really? You can do crazy? Alright,” he shrugged, pushing himself off the wall, moving in front of Marco, flipping Marco’s hood up onto his head as he turned to face him. “Prove it,” he teased with a grin. He reached over and grabbed two shots; he had no idea where they came from. Tom didn’t care. He held one out to Marco, “Just some people, some music, and a shit ton of booze. So c’mon, let’s go do some crazy.”

“Dude, what the hell?!” he snapped as someone crashed into him as he tried to step away from the bar with a drink in his hand. Tom wanted to calm down, and he almost did, but he recognized him. And it wasn’t like Tom hated him or anything, but he definitely got bad vibes from him. He didn’t at first, but now he did, and he was pretty sure it was just a petty thing. “What’s your fucking problem, man? Watch where you’re fucking going.”
