So here’s something I didn’t properly consider until just now. 

Lava Lamp Guy/OG Syaoran was really young when Evil Wolverine first imprisoned him. 

LIKE. 

REALLY young. 

And his body has grown since then but… what about his mind and soul?

It’s been anywhere between 5 to 10 years since he was just put into suspended magical animation and just LEFT THERE until he broke out like an hour ago. 

HOW OLD IS HE, REALLY?

Can we hope he’s old enough on the inside to deal with all the horror happening in this plotline or is he technically still a child?

as @completeoveranalysis has been liveblogging I’ve been saving each “scar sighting” of the series so that when he finally got to the moment where Syaoran reveals that Kurogane even has a noticeable scar I can show him that CLAMP’s been planning that nonsense since the get-go. now where did he get that I wonder…?

OH WAIT IT’S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IS IT?

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A TEASER FOR SOMETHING HAPPENING IN ANOTHER THIRTY CHAPTERS. 

NOPE. LAVA LAMP GUY IS GOING FOR IT. 

This basically takes all the feeling the built up over the last few pages and THRUST INTENTION INTO IT. 

The whole ‘almost meeting but not quite touching’ suddenly becomes Lava Lamp Guy BREAKING THROUGH the only thing keeping them apart. 

NOT A FRIENDLY ACTION. 

Also can we spend a moment just staring at that top picture because that’s beautiful and the inversion between the two of them has never been clearer.

IN A SHOCKING PLOT TWIST A BAD THING IS HAPPENING IN A CLAMP MANGA. 

WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY SEEN THIS COMING.

Vật phẩm đầu tiên Watanuki thu thập ở trong mộng cũng là vật Tsubasa sử dụng cuối cùng. Và "tác dụng" của nó là làm ô uế Utaki :D

Không biết clamp có ý gì không, nhưng t thích nghĩ rằng điều đầu tiên Watanuki muốn làm sau giấc mơ tiên tri là phá nát cái chỗ khiến Tsubasa đau khổ :)) nên vào mộng thì thứ đầu tiên ổng thu thập là cái thứ sẽ khiến Utaki ăn l =))))

It’s super nice and convenientthat Mokona continued to explain the entire Egg process while Watanuki was sadly walking through the empty house but OOP DON’T LOOK NOW IT’S TSUBASA TIME

I'm rereading Tsubasa and like. Clamp are such geniuses. The way they specifically didn't have clone!Syaoran use any of his moves or fighting styles from CCS is so?? smart??? Because if you know CCS!Syaoran then you're expecting the same moves but he just... doesn't use them. So you're like okay yeah sure that makes sense, he was raised in a different environment and learned different things no big deal

And after 100 chapters you get used to how TRC Syaoran fights and kind of stop thinking about it. Until the real Syaoran shows up and immediately uses the Classic Syaoran fighting style and pulls out his CCS sword and hits us with a Raitei Shorai and it hits you like oh. oh wait. he wasn't using the classic Syaoran moves this whole time because he... isn't Syaoran... and like there's a lot of other hints about the clone, clamp doesn't keep it secret for that long but i just love that they included this detail because it makes any fan of CCS notice that something is off immediately without making it obvious enough to realize what's actually happening and honestly it's a detail that impresses me every time I'm reminded of it. it's like I forget every time and then I the page of the two Syaorans with the real Syaoran in his classic Kicking Pose and the first time we see Raitei Shorai and I'm reminded once again how well they told this story

I’ve already said this, but I’ll say this again: 

Tsubasa is not the same as Syaoran. TSUBASA IS NOT THE SAME AS SYAORAN. 

They are completely different characters with vastly different pasts. Do they have similarities? Of course! Tsubasa split half of his soul ( via ripping his eye out ) and put it inside of Syaoran, of course they’re going to have slightly similar personalities. Are they completely the same? Hell no! Tsubasa and Syaoran have lived remarkably different lives and developed in entirely different ways. 

Honestly, this fandom tends to erase Tsubasa a lot ( either in TRC / TWC or in Horitsuba ), and I just really wish people would appreciate Tsubasa as his own character, not a shadow of Syaoran.

I think a lot about this whenever people press that Doumeki using the damn egg is the ‘Happy ending’ for xxxHoLic.
