my biggest issue with the httyd live action-and just about any live action reboot is that it seems that the live action adaptations are being made to make the original “better”? like, so many people talk about a live action spiderverse, a live action hercules, a live action PRINCE OF EGYPT (dont piss me OFF.)-like animation is a beautiful work of art, and for some reason putting real people and cgi in it is supposed to be an “upgrade”? im probably being that friend that’s too woke or whatever, but i just think it’s so disrespectful to act like something that takes so much time and effort and energy is immediately considered as lower because it is animated. animation is beautiful, and it is one of the most heartfelt art forms there are, and erasing that for the sake of a cash grab is downright degrading to animation as a medium.

If the Kirins value justice for all beings, why are they allied with the dragons who have a long history of eating other sapients?

Kirins and dragons are closely related and have aided each other in times of need, but their alliance with the dragons is sustained by the understanding that dragons aren't carnivores out of malice, but necessity. As long as there is no cruelty involved, it's just a fact of life that dragons are carnivorous.

The Kirin are very pleased, however, that dragons have found a non-violent form of sustenance in gemstones.

Hello Red!

I just had the pleasure of watching the newest video and your beepbeep bit delights me to no end, as it is something i do for myself when crowds are thick and unmoving and just hitting people's shins with my cane would be considered "assault" and not "effective strategy for getting to where i need to be"

I was wondering if it would be possible to have that frame signed, since just getting a screenshot works but i don't like having unsourceable piece of art in case they end up getting shared around. (If its too much trouble that's perfectly fine)

on the topic of art fight tips my primary one is remember it is for fun.

that means there's no restriction on art quality. it means you can do as much or as little as you want. it means you can choose to only receive art or only give art. it means you can spectate and not do anything at all.

a lot of people burn themselves out each year trying to pass a standard that they feel there Should Be, but there isn't. you're allowed to just do the fun parts even if you feel like you "could" do more. you don't have a work obligation for drawing free stuff for people. it's literally fine. you can just enjoy it.
