you know what would be a good alternative to john barrowman being jack? after the face of boe “dies” in gridlock his essence returns to where it came from and was created – which is from rose. and we get billie playing a timetanic amalgamation

imagine rose and tentoo staring lovingly at each other and then rose suddenly laughs and tentoolooks confused and rose just says “jack made a joke. i agree with him.” and no further context. like we never hear jack we just get him still existing through rose and what she suggests he might say from time-to-time

this is what rose tried to do. she punched the narrative in the face when it tried to kill off jack, but after all these years of suffering he’d say he was better off dead.

fyi guys, me and @itsatorchwoodthing were just talking about whether alice would have jack’s not-dying powers or not, since it’s never actually stated if she hasn’t inherited it. and then we realised that alice having the time vortex in her make her related to/ a part of rose also…

No one - not the fans, not the actors, not RTD, not god himself - can convince me that Rose didn't know what she did to Jack. She remembered what she did to the dalek emperor, she remembered what she did to Jack!! She knew the sontarons didn't kill him in turn left, either she already knew that he's immortal or she's starting to suspect!! I know she acted shocked at his death in JE but I'm choosing to believe that she was just being silly to fool the daleks (and I'd prefer to think it was Rose fluffing up that bit of acting rather than Billie😭). Maybe RTD did intend for that to show she didn't remember. I don't care. I think he's wrong.
