I Feel You.
48 posts
A side blog for content about my Gods and Goddesses, and occasionally ideas and thoughts about Witchy stuff. I'm very new to the worship and to Witchcraft, and I haven't fully decided how to identify myself in these communities but I'm learning. Tips, ideas and relevant conversation are always welcome!

just a reminder that Aphrodite is more than just the "good" side of love. Aphrodite made a promise to Paris that destroyed a marriage and started a continental war.
Aphrodite is not just a "good goddess" who helps with self love and romance and finding your happily ever after. She is the fire that stirs our hearts to kill others in defense of our homes. She is the lust and aching that causes people to stalk those who do not have feelings for them. She is the heartbreak and complete devastation when lovers are torn apart and never reunited again.
Aphrodite is not just your goddess of love and light and pink things and happily ever afters. She is the bringer of victory - Nik锚phoros. She is the Warlike - Areia. She is the averter of unlawful desires and actions - Apostrophia. She is one who blessed marriage and unions - Mig么ntis. She is the one who turns to love - Epistrophia.

Heavenly Aphrodite, born rising from seafoam green, crying tears of pearl; bless me, and allow me to witness the infinite possibilities of beauty, the shades and colors and patterns of our exquisiteness.
Allow me to feel the fire in my heart, the softness in my soul, the weakness in my knees as I look in awe at how ethereal the human form can be.
Bless me Lady Aphrodite, bless me with raging, bursting, boundless love 馃挄

You know what I think? I think the obsession with correspondences in the Pagan communities only puts unnecessary pressures on worshippers, old and new.
The gods simply want to be worshipped. Any offering you're able to procure will make them happy. They will appreciate you for your faith, your devotion, your love, your time, and your thoughts, not for the insert obscure and rare plants here that according to the myths are sacred to them but are potentially expensive and nearly impossible to get a hold of. Aphrodite would be very happy with a basket full of daisies that you picked from a field, probably more so than an expensive bouquet of red roses that you spent half a fortune on from a florist's shop.
The amaranth flower is a sacred plant to Artemis. I've also never seen it anywhere in Germany. But I know the flowers that I plant and keep in my little garden are more than good enough. Artemis will never think any less of me, just because I doubt I'll ever be able to find any amaranth flower for her.
The gods appreciate being thought of. The gods want your affections. Anything you're able to offer them because it makes you think of them, they will love you for it.
