Spring 2018 🤦🏽‍♀️👩🏽‍⚕️
As the end of the semester is right around the corner, I come to realize that we will only be defeated by nursing school if we allow ourselves to be defeated. This semester was not easy at all and the exams were ........ but we made it this far. We have 3 exams back to back for two weeks which is a lot to prepare for. However, I think we can knock this semester out and defeat summer like we have did fall and spring this far. Remember Positivity, that is what gets me through the day because things could be far more worst than what it is. We are here for a reason and that reason is to be some Bomb Nurses. Stay strong and educated ladies and gents. We got this!

Progression
It’s a great feeling to know that we are almost at the end of this semester. I know that we still have to go through which we will all survive, but to see that we’re progressing no matter how hard or challenging it gets is a great feeling to me. I am so proud of all of us because I’m sure we all feel one way or another about the program but we are doing it! Let’s keep up the go work and continue to work towards our degree.

Mid-point
Today I realized we are literally in the middle of the semester. It’s going by quick to me. So far I am still enjoying my med-surg clinical and starting to enjoy my ped’s clinical. I am still undecided on what I would like to go into for nursing but as many as told me, I have time and eventually I will find my niche. The semester is some what tough but nothing other than what I expected. I feel like my real accomplishment will be making through the summer semester that we have to do. I mean 17 credits, its a yikes for me but it will all be worth it. How’s the semester going for my fellow classmates? I would love to hear!

Undecided
So lately, I've been very undecided into what specialty I would like to go in to with nursing. During clinical this semester, I realized I love working with the geriatric population. I love their stories and the fact that they enjoy nursing students and our company. But I do not like being in nursing homes :(.  I enjoy my Pediatric rotation but I realized that I do not think I can be a Pediatric nurse. I love children so much and enjoy working and treating them. However, it breaks my heart seeing these kids go through what they are going through. I guess I am very sensitive when it comes to children. So guys, I am really undecided on what kind of nurse I would like to be. Hopefully the rest of the clinical rotations I have to do will leads me somewhere that's perfect for me!

Widener 2013 Vs Widener 2017
I started my College career at Widener University as a nursing Major. Over the course of 2 years of being there, I had a lot of financial and personal things that caused me to leave and ultimately pursue an associate's degree at my local Community college. Now, the person I was when I First started widener is not the person I am now that I am back at Widener. My first semester at widener was really relaxed in my eyes because the courses was not a challenge to me. Fall 2017, omg! The course workload was a lot but I was not surprised because I know since 2013 that The Nursing program was very rigorous and required a lot.  I was nervous and excited at the same time because it’s getting closer and closer to the point where I’ll receive the degree that I always wanted. Last semester I got to wear my scrubs for the first time and actually practice skills that I’ll be using in the long run. I started to feel like what I am, which is a Nursing student. I’ve gotten to know some amazing people in the program and I want nothing but success for all of Us!
