You don’t see Taehyung for the rest of the week. He wakes up and leaves for work before you do, he comes home long after you have fallen asleep and your calls he skilfully ignores. Even on Saturday, which badly enough aligned with your monthly family dinner, he stayed at his office.

“Oh? Misses Kim? Good evening, what brings you here?” Taehyungs assistant says, looking up from her spacious desk. She wears a sweet smile on her face, having her long hair tied back in a high ponytail.

“It’s really important. We are invited to family dinner at my parents place tonight and we are already running late”, you explain further on.

“I am sorry Misses Kim, but I fear that your husband is currently out”, she says and it is obvious that she is lying, “but I can pass on a message once he returns from his…tasks”, she adds, forcing a smile to her face.

You study her for a moment. This isn’t her fault. Taehyung most definitely told her to lie to you if you came over and asked for him. She was merely doing what she was told to do. You can’t be angry at her for doing her job.

“Ah dear god, he is such a little scatterbrain”, you say, forcing a laugh out, “I have been talking to him about this dinner for days now and here he goes, forgetting about it.”

You send her a smile.

“N-nothing I-I also just woke up”, he stutters, rolling onto his back, “I’m so starved. Do you know those days? When you wake up hungry and you could literally eat an entire truckload of food?” he asks to change the topic.

He rolls out of bed and hurries through the room to get clothes, avoiding your gaze as best as possible.

“Yeah, those days are the best. Because breakfast just tastes five times better”, you say, following him through the room with your eyes. 

So he watched you sleep. And it made him smile. Did he think that you looked beautiful when you slept? Why is your heart racing like crazy right now? And why the hell is his bed hair the cutest thing you have ever seen? All ruffled and fluffy, he looks so adorable with it. 

“I’m going to use the bathroom real quick, so you have more time to wake up”, he says, not daring to look at you. 

“I thought you woke up at the same time as me”, you say, amused grin hidden behind the hem of your blanket.

Tete in this review... but you deserve it! 🤧)

As always, I don't know if I will remember every detail that I loved so much in this chapter and if I can point out but I'll try my best to do that!! 🙈💖😘

First of all, how the reader woke up and tried to convince herself that the "cuddling/holding & sleeping together" was just a method to "comfort the other person and to keep them quiet so they can sleep in peace"

The sheets of Taehyungs side are cold as you touch them. Not that he spent a lot of time on his side of the bed this night. You wrap your arms around your body. It was kind of nice to be held like this.

“No, do not fall for him”, you say out loud, giving your own cheek a little slap.

Those past few nights were merely because you both needed some comfort. Yes, this must be it. A mere attempt to not waste too much time on trying to comfort the other. 

First you with the thunderstorm. He held you so you would stop wiggling and he could fall asleep again. Yes this must have been it. But then. You touch your forehead. Why did he kiss you?

And why does your theory not apply to your own reasons? If they were true that would mean that you held him merely to fall asleep sooner. But that wasn’t it. You wanted to comfort him.

Did he want to comfort you too?

“No! Oh my god, get yourself together ___”, you groan, flicking your forehead.

You mustn’t think about this. It never happened. You should stop making up weird scenarios in your head. You need to leave this bed. It’s giving you weird thoughts.

when the first week is over and they join together outside with their cocktails and start a small talk conversation which goes down the hill real fast...

...like the deep talk and how the reader explains how sie got threaten by her parents to marry Taehyung or she has to marry a middle aged bastard... how they used threats, verbal and physical abuse... I was truly speechless.

Sibi, can I... can I have a "talk" (with some weapons) with their parents and giving them a lecture of their own medicine???? The rage in me is fucking boiling! 🤬🔥☄⚡ I will fucking throw burning rocks at them!

But I love Taehyung so much for understanding and promising her that he wouldn't take advantage of her and wouldn't lay a hand onto her without her consent... I know that should be the bare minimum in general but through those circumstance it's important to verbalize it! 💖

Then the scene in the middle of the night with the thunderstorm and the reader is scared to death...

...that the Reader thinks at first that those bruises has to be 100% from another woman/hook-up and doesn't realize that it simply can't be like that... Tae wouldn't have an almost ptsd anxiety attack when they're "just from another woman" and that he maybe made a mistake as well.

...that the Reader really complains in her head about how many sexting and phone sex she possible could have if she wouldn't be "so nice" to Taehyung

“Excuse me?” he gasps, speeding up, “I’m not the one who insisted on getting smoothies before take-off”, he says, having reached your side.

You and him are hurrying down the halls of the airport, carrying a big cup of smoothie each and trying your hardest not to bump into people. You were running terribly late. Mister Choi had called you three times already, informing you that your plane must take off soon or else you would have to wait three hours for a free spot in the schedule of the airport.

You know that it was your fault that you were late. Taehyung said so already. You insisted on getting smoothies before take-off and the men, who prepared them, moved in the literal speed of a snail.

“In my defence. Who the hell cuts up bananas? You can easily rip them apart”, you mumble, swerving past a couple.

You bump shoulders with Taehyung on accident, he stumbles, finding support on your arm at the last moment. His grip is tight, of course it is, he needed it to stop himself from falling.

“Jesus christ, you’re a terrible runner”, he grumbles.

“I am wearing heels!” you defend yourself, pulling Taehyung with you so he wouldn’t bump into an elderly woman, “considering that I am, I would say that my running is amazing.”

“Fine, that’s impressive”, he says, pulling you to the side with him so you wouldn’t bump into a little boy, “you know what? That’s stupid”, he adds and reaches for your hand.

You almost stumbled over your feet as your eyes landed on your interlocked fingers.

“What are you doing?” you gasp.

after a few minutes, he couldn’t take the non stop teasing anymore. he wanted to touch you, he wanted to feel you. just as he leaned his head back, you got off his lap.

The energy in your office changed. You can feel it the moment you enter it and nobody turns to look. 

“Good morning everyone!” you greet them loudly in case they hadn’t heard you come in. 

“Mornin’ boss!” one of your newest recruits greets you, wearing a sly smirk. 

Well that was one informal greeting. You will ignore it for now, he is new here after all. You will just have to have a talk with him about basic respect later. 

A few others of your employees greet you on your way past them, wearing a suspicious curiosity in their eyes. What is going on here? Did you forget to change out of your pyjamas today? You look down at your body. No you didn’t. So why is everyone staring at you like that?

“Ma'am?” your personal assistant says, standing up from his seat, “good morning. Here are the reports you asked me for. Shall I get you a cup of coffee?" 

"Oh that would be lovely. Thank you”, you say, meaning both the offer for coffee and him handing you the reports. 

He comes into your office ten minutes later, carrying a tray of biscuits and coffee. 

“There you go ma'am your coffee and biscuits”, he says, putting it down on your desk. 

“Thank you”, you say absentmindedly, already reading through the first of many reports. 

Your assistant just stands there, staring at you with big eyes and fumbling with his tie.

“What is it?” you ask, averting your eyes to him. 

“Did you perhaps read the article yet? It’s awful isn’t it?” he says, rolling his thumbs shyly. 

“Article?" 

He points to the plastic wrapped magazine next to your desktop. It is the magazine you and Taehyung had to interview for. It is their newest edition and would you look at that. On the cover you and Taehyung are staring back at you, looking like happily-ever-after personified.

"Oh? I didn’t even know that it was out already”, you say, reaching for the magazine and taking off the plastic wrap, “you say the article is awful? How is that?" 

"Well, uhm”, Hoseok scratches the side of his neck, “I think it is a little disrespectful. Me and the ladies have been talking about it for the entire morning. I’m sorry ma'am you don’t deserve this”, he says, bowing ninety degrees.

“Now you are making me scared to read it”, you say, letting your eyes race over his features.

“Uhm”, he averts his gaze, “at least we think it is disrespectful. I’m sorry if you don’t think this way and I offended you”, he mumbles.

“No, no don’t apologize. I will have a read through it and then I will update you on my opinion", you assure him.

“Yes ma'am!”

He leaves the room afterwards, keeping his head lowered.
