right??? i used to watch gameplays way back in the days and fell in love with it! its got such a wonderful charm to it- really makes me feel things. it helps that the artstyle is incredible, i really do love the 2d cutscenes!

currently replaying it, trying to get all the collectibles i missed in my first run. cant believe i missed some- which were SO obvious.

Weird Thoughts on Lucius' Visuals

Well, i knew Lucius from a supposedly porn comic series on Deviantart. That's just fucked up to think about sometimes.

Let's talk about Jason's Interferences. Yes, he's potentially yassifiedable for being a slick and dramatic character in the books, but he's not supposed to have long hair...You know the L'oreal memes, basically all the hair-related memes...those are my tween-age cornerstone lmao.

Movie Lucius look is mostly based on Jason Isaacs' Preferences. This image's authority is questionable, it's not mine either, but i think it resembles what i imagined in the books

He's a racist character, Jason thought, which makes clear of him to not dressed like muggles (or pretty much like Arthur Weasley and possibly other protagonists). This later shaped his major movie looks. He asked for longer hair to distinguish him from Draco, he also asked for exaggerated coat, and of course, THE CANE! Yes, Jason Isaacs literally carried the whole Lucius' character on the screen. He designed his character, played his character, even asked JK to make a final statement for Lucius in Deathly Hallows because he's supposed to not appear anymore, She granted it eventually.

For me it's very obvious. I love to see artists being passionate about their lifeworks. I didnt blame Jason Isaacs for being a good looking person and i understand some fans really foreseeing it first (i am too honestly). But i think that is the ultimate juice about Lucius' character on the screen, It's just really cool...

Oh if only i have better words to explain all my love for him arghh..it's just not enough..

Move on to the fanarts. Most of them are either gay looking or daddy looking like the image i showed you earlier. There's no hate on that...i might have some preferences, but more on that later..

I noticed some platforms/regions have their unique visualization styles. Tumblr is just being tumblr, so is twitter, instagram, they actually have quite similar artist culture. Deviantart and Livejournal archives was obviously legendary. TikTok is also unique for being a short video platform, i've seen numerous Lucius/Jason edit in thirst trap manner, which i happened hard consuming it. Russian fans are likely prone to rare ships like malfoycest, Chinese fans are surprisngly active on hp fandom despite being shown only in mainland platforms, and i've seen some good stuffs coming from Japanese hp artists. I'ts questionable whether there's actually official anime illustration of Harry Potter in japan or if it's just being a regional trend. but i often seen him being drawn in white hair instead of blond (Draco and Narcissa is still drawn blond anyway). i don't know why i liked it...

Personaly i want to see more of Lucius in dynamic clothing (very much like Draco) which explain why i love him in Deathly Hallows part 1 so much. in this case i'd refer to Pelegrin-tn and Opalchalice. their photo manipulations are my favorite.

As for my personal art direction, you'll often see me keeping his stubble from DH and umm in other case might be his post-azkaban mental instability...for noble purposes...HAHAH, but i also have a thing for making his hair wavy rather than straight, i did also love to imagine his hair cut shoulder-short like Severus.
