𝙒𝘼𝙉𝙉𝘼 𝘽𝙀 𝙁𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙎 (𝙎𝙀𝙄𝙅𝙊𝙃 𝘽𝙊𝙔𝙎 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆 1)

𝙂𝙀𝙉𝙍𝙀: 𝙎𝙇𝙊𝙒𝘽𝙐𝙍𝙉, 𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙎𝙏, 𝙁𝙇𝙐𝙁𝙁, 18+

𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙎𝙐𝙒𝘼𝙆𝘼 𝙓 𝙊𝘾

CHAPTER 1

It was a new day of the school year. The new first years coming in, the second years getting to see their friends again and finally the third years coming in their last year of being seniors before they have to leave Aoba Johsai and grow up into the new world call being an adult.

The chill boy Issei Matsukawa and his sidekick best friend Takahiro Hanamaki were walking down to school. The wind was blowing into their hairs and through their ears. "Dude, Can you believe that it's our final year of highschool" Hanamaki asked the taller teen next to him.

“Yup, it's our final year as seniors and being on the volleyball team", Matsukawa told the dark pinkish-brown haired boy.

“Also it's your final year to ask Aika Kyotani out, man" Matsukawa added bumping shoulders and adding with a teasing smirk with the pink-haired third year.

Hanamaki started to blush once he heard the name of the auburn red-head girl, he had a crush on. Aika Kyotani since their first year of highschool, he had many of times to ask her out but he ended up either stuttering infront of her or running away, but as a third year he's going to ask out the girl of his dream even if it kills him.

“Dude do you remember when you try to ask out at lunch in our second year and when you try to talk to her, you ended up saying miso soup like it was the only thing you could speak about” Matsukawa said laughing at the pinkish-brown hair boy.

“Dude please don’t bring that shit up again, it was so embarrassing. Oikawa and our seniors ended calling me miso boy for a whole month” Hanamaki said covering his hands hiding his embarrassment.

To him that was his worst downhill he would ever experience in his life.

"You know what man ?", Hanamaki asked the tall boy next to him, "What's up man ?” Matsukawa answered while still walking.

“I haven't seen you have a crush on anyone this whole time we been in Aoba Joshai" Makki asked. Matsukawa looked up at the sky thinking for awhile about what Makki was pointing it out.

It was true the whole time while Matsukawa never had a crush on anyone in school. "I don't know, there is just no one that make me turn my head” Matsukawa told him.

Makki couldn’t believe his friend. ‘I don’t believe him’ Makki said to himself looking at his best friend while still walking. Matsukawa looked at his watch to see the time, he realized that they’re late for the entrance opening.

“Holy shit dude, we’re going to be late” Matsumoto said warning his best friend to hurry and run. “Oh fuck you’re right let’s go” Hanamaki said trying to speed walk to school. Both boys started to speed walk all the way to school.

They finally made it to school. Once the entrance opening was over, everyone went to their classes. Matsukawa got inside his period class, he looked to see if saw anyone familiar. He saw like five people he knew but they were already sitting with other people.

He spotted a sit in the back close to someone with their head down sleeping. He shrugged and headed to the back. The teacher walked inside the classroom. She started to speak, “Okay I’m going to start to call out people for attendance”.

“Akito”

“Here”

“Miya”

“Here Miss”

“Matsukawa”

“Here” Matsukawa said raising his hand.

“Shizuko”

“…”

“Shizuko”

“…”

Nobody answered. Matsukawa started to notice that person next to him was still sleeping. ‘Maybe that’s her’ Matsukawa thought to himself. He gently tapped on the sleeping person. Her head rose up so fast.

The girl has messy platinum blonde hair that was also in a messy bun and her glasses were crooked and foggy from her breathing on them. “I’m here miss” she said trying to fix herself.

“Next time I call your name. You better answer” the teacher said.

“Yes ma’am” Shizuko said with her ears turning red being embarrassed that she slept during the attendance calling. After that lecture, the teacher kept calling names. Shizuko heard someone laughing at her. She turned her head to see who was making from of her.

She saw Matsukawa trying to hold in his laugh. Shizuko was confused on why Matsukawa was laughing at her then Matsukawa pointed at the left corner of his chin. Shizuko didn’t understand why he was doing but try to ignore.

Shizuko tried to mind her own business till she felt a piece of paper hit on her arm. She looked down at the piece of paper that was turned into a ball. She opened it. It said.

“You have drool on the corner of your mouth”

Shizuko checked if the note was right, she put her finger on her chin. She felt something wet, it was definitely drool. Shizuko used her sleeve and wiped off the drool quickly.

Her face was bright red full of embarrassment, she turned her head to Matsukawa and mouthed “thank you”. Matsukawa just looked at her and nod his head.

After their encounter, they turned their attention back to class. Well only one person went back to paying attention, the other wasn’t.

School was over. It was time for after school clubs. Matsukawa and Hanamaki were changing into their volleyball uniform, they heard someone opened the locker room door.

It was Iwaizumi and Oikawa.

“Sup” Iwaizumi said unbuttoning his school jacket and then his shirt.

“Sup” both Hanamaki and Matsukawa said.

“Are you guys excited to meet the new first years” Oikawa said having his full uniform on and now looking at himself in the mirror to make sure his hair is okay.

“I guess so” Matsukawa shrugged.

“Not really but when is Kyotani coming back” Hanamaki said fixing his volleyball uniform shirt.

“In two weeks” Iwaizumi said closing his locker and heading out the locker room doors.

“Damn, I’m so not ready to see him yet” Hanamaki said finishing tying his shoes.

“Me either” Oikawa said leaning on the wall waiting everyone else.

Matsukawa was finish putting on his volleyball uniform until he realized something missing.

“Oh shit” Matsukawa groaned smacking his forehead.

“What” Iwaizumi said being curious.

“I forgot my phone in my last period class. I gotta go get it” Matsukawa said heading out the locker room door and running down the stairs.

“Hurry up dude” Hanakmaki said as Matsukawa was still running.

Matsukawa made back to his last period class. He saw his phone on the desk, he grabbed it.

He walked out of the classroom and headed to the gym room until he heard a voice in the music room. Matsukawa took a little peek, the person was still singing.

“We only said goodbye with words, I died a hundred times”

Matsukawa poked out his head more into the classroom to see who was singing.

“You go back to her and, I go back to”

He couldn’t believe his eyes, it was Shizuko. She didn’t have her hair in a messy bun anymore it was now her hair is wavy and still messy to her but it was long and it reached all the way to her back. She still had her glasses on.

“We only said goodbye with words, I died a hundred times”

“You go back to her and, I go back to”

“Black”

Once Shizuko finish the last verse of the song. The way she said black. It gave Matsukawa a tingle in his neck. Matsukawa was too busy paying to attention to Shizuko humming to another song. He was so busy that his phone started to ring.

The ring started to scared Matsukawa. Once he jumped up and down. Shizuko noticed that he was watching her.

Matsukawa saw scared Shizuko was.

“Hey umm I’m sorry…I dont wanna scare” Matsukawa said trying to calm down Shizuko, but she didn’t care. She was shaking and breathing hard. The only thing that Shizuko could do was slamming the door in Matsukawa’s face.

“Hey wait. I didn’t mean to scare you. You sounded so beautiful” Matsukawa said trying to fix the situation.

Matsukawa looked at his phone. Hanamaki started to text to him saying that he’s late and the coach wasn’t happy about it.

“Oh shit, coach is gonna have my ass today” Matsukawa said starting to run to the gym room.

‘I’ll apologize to Shizuko tomorrow’ Matsukawa thoughts to himself.

Matsukawa finally made back to gym room. Everyone was looking at him, he walked to the coach. The coach had his arms crossed and being pissed off.

“Sorry I’m late sir” Matsukawa said rubbing the back of his head.

“Matsukawa, if you’re late again. I’m going to make you do 100 LAPS” the coach said.

The whole gym was quiet, all you can hear is Matsukawa gulping.

“Yes sir” Matsukawa said looking down at the ground for a second.

“Okay good now go practice” he said patting Matsukawa in the back.

Matsukawa nodded and headed to practice.

The third years and some second years were against the first years and some of the other second years. Matsukawa stood next to Hanamaki. “Dude, where have you been ?” He asked receiving the ball.

“I was distracted” Matsukawa said jumping up to block the ball.

“From what a girl” Hanamaki said making a joke.

Matsukawa started to smile and looked at Hanamaki. “Yup” he said.

Hanamaki couldn’t believe it. His best friend was distracted by a girl, now he was interested on who the girl was.

Practice was over and everyone was putting on their school uniform back on. Hanamaki was looking at his best friend who humming Back to Black by Amy Winehouse.

“Dude are you humming Back to Black by Amy Winehouse?” Hanamaki being shocked.

“Oh that’s what the song is called” Matsukawa said being surprised.

“Dude, where did you hear that song from” Hanamaki asked putting on his uniform.

Matsukawa didn’t want anyone else to hear Shizuko’s voice. He just wanted to keep listening to her Angel like voice for the rest of his days till he lose his last breath.

“I don’t know just somewhere, I guess” Matsukawa said shrugging off.

Hanamaki didn’t believe him, he wanted to know who the girl was but he knew he wait for his best friend to tell him.

The boys finish getting dressed and started to walk home. Behind them was Iwaizumi and Oikawa. They were arguing about something.

“It can’t be true, Iwa” Oikawa said.

“Of course it’s true, trashykawa” Iwaizumi said to Oikawa.

“There’s no way Godzilla would win in a fight between aliens” Oikawa huffing walking away from Iwaizumi and heading up with Hanamaki and Matsuwaka.

“Yes there is a way, okay” Iwaizumi said chasing up with Oikawa.

While still walking, the four guys heard voices. They turned their head, it was Auburn red-head Aika talking to some girl.

“Look it’s Aika-Chan, HEY AIKA-CHAN” Oikawa said out loud getting both girl’s attention.

Both girls turned around, Aika saw Oikawa and waved at him yelling back. “HEY GUYS” she said with a pink hue on her cheeks. Hanamaki was blushing hard. He gave Aika a small wave and walked up a little faster.

Iwaizumi snickered at Hanakmaki.

Matsukawa had his head still turned at Aika’s friend. ‘It’s Shizuko’ he thought to himself.

Shizuko saw Matsukawa as well, she couldn’t help but remember what happened earlier. She blushed harder than Hanamaki, grabbed on her best friend’s hand and carried her away from the glance of the boys.

“Bye Oikawa-San, Shizuko stop walking so fast. You know I’m short” Aika said.

“Wow Hanamaki, that’s your future wife and you didn’t say hi. That’s such a coward move” Oikawa teasing.

“Oh shut up, you don’t know what it’s like having on a girl for three years” Hanamaki said putting his hand on his heart.

“That’s true cause it’s the girl coming to me” Oikawa said walking away from Hanamaki.

Iwaizumi slapped behind Oikawa’s head.

Matsukawa patted on his best friend’s shoulder. “It’s gonna be okay dude, you’re gonna get that girl” Matsukawa assured his best friend.

Hanamaki smiled at his best friend’s words.

The four boys all headed to their homes.

Next Day

Matsukawa hurried to his classroom, he made it to his seat.

He said hi to people he knew in class. He looked next to him to see if Shizuko was here, her desk was empty.

Matsukawa felt sad until he heard someone come in. It was Shizuko.

She was wearing her cute glasses and had her hair pinned up into a pony tail with a hair clip. Her face look tired but she was still beautiful.

She saw Matsukawa looking at her, she felt her face blushed just remembering that Matsukawa heard her singing.

Nobody ever heard her sing except her cousin and best friends and even her cat Oreo.

Shizuko didn’t want to look at Matsukawa so she put her head down.

The school bell ringed. The teacher finally walked in. “Okay class, we are having a project” she said giving everyone a smile.

Everyone groaned and complained. “But this project is a buddy project, so the person that close next to you will be your partner” the teacher said.

“So everyone get with your partner” she said.

Everyone got to their partner.

Matsukawa realized that the only person that was close to him was Shizuko.

He didn’t know what to say or do but he’s gonna try to get to her know before their senior year is over.

Matsukawa moved his chair to Shizuko’s table, Shizuko jumped up hearing the chair moving.

She was nervous, she never talked to other people before. She only talked to Aika and her brother, her cousin and her co-workers.

“Hey, I’m sorry for yesterday. I didn’t mean to hear you singing. You were so beautiful back there and I just want to get to know you.” Matsukawa said looking at her.

Shizuko was surprised that someone was talking to her. She realized that she had to say something now.

“It’s okay, nobody heard my voice except for family and my best friends. Thank you for saying that too” Shizuko said giving him a small smile.

Matsukawa felt his heart beat a little bit. Matsukawa started to brave and fully turned to Shizuko.

“So Shizuko, 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐁𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 ?”
