because they know that only one of them can make it out of the games and only one of them can live at the end - and they'll fight together, to make sure one of them does - but they won't die for the other so the other can win.

except that every time they say it - as they grow closer and closer, as they keep risking themselves to save the other - it rings less and less true.

and then they're the only two left.

can we talk about how we all assumed that Ben died looking like that (at that age) but in actuality he died when he was still a teen which means that his ghost aged? it also means most of them would have no idea what Ben currently looks like and for all they know, that sparrow guy with the awful emo hair could be anybody

(also there's no reason for him to be dressed all black like that with a leather jacket if he died on a mission)

i'd always sorta headcanoned that five, ben and vanya were closest when they were kids (because of five yelling their names in the apocalypse and five being remorseful he wasn't there when ben died) so i cannot begin to express my disappointment that five never got to have a moment with ben in the show.

don't know if this has been said (or maybe i'm making no sense), but Larry's literally wrapped up head to toe in bandages that protect against and suppress radiation but sure, Miranda's the one the scants can't infect.

hard to believe the radiation wouldn't kill it even if it does get through (or at least make it super scants)

bruh the department of defense had some stormtroopers level of aim there. they had their sights pre-aimed at Larry but still managed to hit Dex, Rita and Toby. they pretty much shot everyone they weren't meant to and missed the one guy they were aiming for.
