jason is john, forced to watch life around him constantly change while he is forced into a life he did not want and a role that was thrust upon him. he is a constant figure, always overseeing other people’s victories, but never being able to break out enough to carve his own path. he took matters into his own hands after years of sacrifice, and built his own legacy - but once again, his legacy focused on aiding other people. he never had time for his own life.

percy is davy (who’s still in the navy, and probably will be for life). he will never fully heal from the trauma he went through, and will always feel a responsibility towards the camp and his peers, even though he has a chance to live his own life

piper and leo are the waitress and businessman respectively- after jason died, they both felt extremely lonely and cut off from the world. they do their own thing to get rid of the feeling, but they never manage to shake off the guilt of his death.

chiron is the piano man. he sees everything and knows everything, he’s been around to see the rise and fall of many great heroes, all fighting to make the world a better place. he accepts responsibility so that other people can live more comfortably and happily, even though it puts himself in danger time and time again.
