An expert handyman at Darkwick Academy, Mio has been missing in action since the beginning of the story. Though he hasn't officially been shown in the story as of Episode 18, he has a running plotline with Haru Sagara throughout the current story.

Known Information: Much like Shion, there is very little known about Mio thus far. Each of his mentions involve handy work of some kind, whether that's fixing things like projectors[1] or Haru's robotic arm[2]. His earliest known mention comes in Chapter 10, when Haru and Romeo discuss a trial. While the subjects of who they are discussing (known only as 'they') is unknown, it can be inferred that they are discussing Mio in some capacity[3]. Similarly, any further mention of that trial or its results, including in Episode 12 and 16, are in reference to Mio.

Outside of that plot-line, Haru also mentions that Darkwick used to have an expert for repairs, but they are unable to call him anymore, and it's complicated[4]. He also adds that the Carpenter Cats are trying to fill the gap, but they're overwhelmed, especially following the Immortal Anomaly incident. This goes along with a mention from Kaito later on where he says the staff have been unable to fix the projector, likely because Mio isn't around at the moment[1]. This implies that the staff of Darkwick relies on Mio to do the handywork in some capacity. Similarly, Mio is in charge of Haru's robotic arm, as Haru mentions needing Mio to fix it multiple times, and Taiga also mentions it as well[2].

In Episode 18, it is revealed that Mio was one of the clockworkers who created Clockwork Anomalies for Dionysia. These vary in use, but the one that Mio is stated to have created is able to follow any commands it is given, has a built-in security system, and can change shape at will, amongst other things[5].

Similarly, while this is exclusive to the Japanese script of the game, Kaito's mention of Mio confirms his last name as Susuhara[1].

Haru Sagara: Haru relies on Mio to tune up and fix his robotic arm, and worries about his well-being outside of that. His connection to Mio outside of that is unknown though, as is Mio's connection to Dionysia and Jabberwock as a whole. Regardless, Haru seems to hold Mio in high regards, not only for his capability as a handyman but also as the mechanic for his arm.

General

Much like Haru, the staff and students of Darkwick generally seem to have relied on Mio for various handy-work around the school, as seen when Kaito mentions that the staff haven't fixed something because of Mio's status. Further, since the Campus Cats are supposedly picking up Mio's slack in repairs, it can be inferred that he was relied on for general campus needs, and not just the needs of one dorm or teacher.

[1] In Episode 13, Chapter 1, Kaito is discussing a broken projector with Lucas and mentions that it hasn't been fixed likely because Mio isn't around. However, when Kaito talks, he says 煤原くん (Susuhara-kun). Through this, Mio's last name is revealed (as Kaito uses last names for people in the Japanese script) and Kaito's relative position to him.

Generally, Kaito uses -san or -senpai for the 3rd year students, showcased with his usage of 'Kamurai-senpai' and 'Ishibashi-senpai' and Romeo-san. He also uses -sensei for the teachers, and is generally good at following the conventional honorific format. With this in mind, his usage of -kun implies that Mio is either a 1st year (Kaito calls Ren 'Shiranami-kun') or a 2nd year. Since Mio is missing as of the start of this school year, though, and since the 2nd and 3rd years know who he is, he cannot be a 1st year, meaning he is most likely a second year student at Darkwick. This conversation goes along with the one in Episode 10, where Haru is trying to go against Darkwick / the Institute to help, meaning that it is likely the same people that are in danger of being locked up somewhere. Known Information: Very little is actually known about Shion. His introduction in Episode 4 tells us that he did damage to the Sinostra casino and that Haru is responsible for paying it off as per the contract Ritsu has on file, something that Taiga is clearly unhappy to see[3], while his next mention tells us that Shion broke Haru's robotic arm, requiring Mio to fix it[4]. A phone call with Haru reveals that Taiga and Shion had a contentious relationship and fought quite a bit[5], though these are the only times Shion is explicitly mentioned by name as of Episode 17. However, through these scenes, we can also connect Shion to other key events, such as the Dionysia escape.

The first of these other events is when Romeo and Haru discuss Jabberwock and Haru's status as caretaker of the safari park. He states that 'they' are already done being interrogated by Darkwick, and that they're awaiting sentencing now, which surprises Haru as he did not know that at the time. Romeo then goes on to warn him that 'they'll rot in that place' if something isn't done soon, to which Haru says Elias'll have it all handled[6].

The next mention comes from later on in the story, when Haru talks with Taiga following the events of Episode 12. Haru first tells Taiga that he doesn't have a bone to pick with him (other than Peekaboo), and that Elias is looking into something, though the Institute is keeping it under wraps. He further states that if they (Haru and those working with him) don't make a move soon, the road is looking rocky for both him and 'them' (whoever he is trying to help). The ones mentioned are, likely, Shion and Mio[7]. Taiga asks Haru for a coin, flips it, and says that heads means 'they' make it out, and tails means everyone bites the dust. He then ignores Haru's calls for six months, culminating in the phone call that occurs in Episode 16.

Through all of this, we can infer that Shion was part of the Dionysia escape, was caught and brought back to Darkwick, and is awaiting sentencing for the escape.

Finally, Shion's name has an oceanic theme, and he is connected to both the Institute and Haru, meaning that he is one of the few candidates to be the second mermaid mentioned in the story[8]. However, he has not been explicitly stated to be the mermaid. Please see the footnote for more information.

There is also a chance that he might be a ghoul[9], though this is also not explicitly stated.

Haru Sagara: Shion and Haru have an odd relationship, though we can assume it is a positive one. While not much is actually stated about the two of them, Haru is the one responsible for Shion's debt to Sinostra, and Haru is the main one fighting to help Shion and the others. Further, Haru prefaces a conversation with Taiga that Haru doesn't have any bones to pick with him, which aligns with Taiga and Shion's less than stellar relationship. If Shion was part of Dionysia, this would make them dorm-mates at the very least, and familiar with each other in some way. All current mentions of Shion involve Haru in some form or another, and the survival of Shion is apparently tied to the survival of Haru as well.

Sinostra

Taiga Hoshibami: Taiga and Shion did not get along. According to Haru, the two of them would fight (presumably often given Haru's plea), and according to the compensation request, Shion was responsible for doing damage to Sinostra's casino. Whether or not this has to do with the 'entertainment rivalry' Elias discusses in Episode 16, Chapter 7 (where he mentions that the circus run by Dionysia was, at some point, as popular as the Sinostra casino in terms of student entertainment) is fully unknown. ◦ ❖ ◦ Romeo S. Lucci: Very little is known about Romeo's connection to Shion, though he seemed to be up to date on what was going on in regards to the trial, and warned Haru about what might happen to him and the others, meaning he is at the very least aware of Shion and has some sort of interest in the outcome (though whether that is out of concern for Shion or some other reason is fully unknown).

Others

Elias Pratt: Haru trusts Elias to be able to help Shion and the others, and Elias was a frequent visitor (if not a full part) of Dionysia[10], meaning that the two of them likely knew each other and had a positive relationship at the very least. Otherwise, not much is known.

[1] This is mostly connecting a string of dots that have been running through the Shion Genkai thread, though it is not confirmed. The evidence for it is that Dionysia is known to have escaped (as stated in the Prologue and reiterated multiple times) and then recaptured, and they are being monitored by Darkwick in some capacity, as evidenced by Hyde asking if Nicolas could use them yet in Episode 3, Chapter 21.

Since escaping Darkwick is obviously a big no-no, it's not unreasonable to assume they would be investigated and tried by Darkwick for their violation of regulations. This is paired with the fact that Shion has connections to Haru Sagara specifically, who was former Dionysia, as well as Elias. While it is possible that Shion was affiliated with Jabberwock, it does not explain why Shion would be in trouble and require help, as it would if he was about to be locked up for violating ordinances, nor does it explain his connection to Elias, who is only affiliated through Haru. This is a very rough translation, so please feel free to correct it. Regardless, the word to focus on for this note is 'やり合ってた' (to fight with). ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [6] Episode 10, Chapter 6. You can infer this is referencing Shion (and likely Mio) due to both the phone call (Haru asks Taiga for help, basically claiming life or death) and another conversation in Episode 12 mentioned in the next footnote. These both refer to the same 'they' given the context (both are with Taiga, both mention specific people, both are from Haru, both refer to the same plot-line). ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [7] Episode 12, Chapter 32. The fact that Mio is missing in action and the fact that this statement follows Taiga mentioning both Shion and Mio implies that they are both currently on trial. The first occurs in Chapter 39, where the existence of the second mermaid is even brought up. In this chapter, Nicolas reveals that the second mermaid is currently in the Institute's custody, and that he didn't have anything to do with the Immortal Anomaly issue.

The other important note about the mermaid comes in Chapter 41, directly after Hyde tells Haru that it was mermaid flesh that did this. Haru is immediately upset over this information, and says 'You don't mean...' before being told that it's not 'him' (whoever Haru is thinking about) and that he's fine. Haru seems relieved, but not fully. This implies that whoever Haru was thinking about is somebody who he could not personally verify was okay or not at that time, as he would have known his status already.

With this in mind, the merman must be someone the Institute is actively monitoring and someone Haru cares about but does not see daily. This leaves very few candidates, including Shion, Mio, and Elias. Shion has an ocean themed name, but Elias also has hints to the ocean / mermaids in general, meaning it is still truly unknown who the mysterious second mermaid is. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [9] This one is very involved. First of all, taking into account the fact that he escaped at all means he is very capable, as MC demonstrates in Episode 1 that it is extremely hard to run away, even outside of Darkwick itself. Furthermore, general students are regular humans, and while they are perfectly capable of putting up a fight, even more volatile ones like those in Vagastrom and Sinostra do not go against Darkwick itself, and fall in line around ghoul students specifically. If there was to be an escape of a general student, Darkwick could theoretically send the ghouls to retrieve them, or send one of the countless agents who are specialised in this, and do so with, presumably, very little worry.

However, Nicolas explicitly states in the Prologue, Chapter 10 that some amount of collateral damage is unavoidable in finding them, meaning that it will be dangerous to do so. Even if we assume they're in a dangerous location, it is still odd that it would be such an event to retrieve them.

There is also the moment in Episode 3, Chapter 21 where Hyde asks Nicolas if he can use Dionysia yet and have them take over Jabberwock's current mission, to which Nicolas says no, and adds that he could try to get Yuri and Jiro to take it over, but it would be difficult. The mission is never explicitly stated to be high-ranking or low-ranking, though the fact that neither professor is willing to just hand it off to a general student under their care (Hyde, for example, could give it to the Sinostra students if necessary, or Nicolas could give it to any other Mortkranken student) means that it is likely one they want ghouls to cover. Therefore, Dionysia is either a sole exception to this, or they have at least one ghoul student capable of taking over the mission.

Finally, though this is more of a meta-textual thing, the only students Shion has a genuine connection to are all ghouls. General students tend to avoid ghoul students, and while this is not always the case (as seen with Taiga's caretaker, among others) it is not a stretch to assume that a general student would not want to actively fight with a ghoul student as Shion is noted to have done with Taiga. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [10] Elias and Haru met when Haru was a Dionysia student, and in Episode 16, Chapter 8 Elias reveals he was a fan of Haru during his time in Dionysia. This means that Elias visited Dionysia frequently at the very least, though a final line at the end of Chapter 9 has Elias say 'Maybe we should've stayed here after all...' [やはりあの時、俺たち。。。ここに残るべき[...]*', implying some personal level of connection to Dionysia beyond just being a fan of it. It's unclear if the 'we' mentioned is Haru and Elias or Dionysia in general, but regardless, Elias views himself as someone who Left Dionysia in some form.

While Elias is unlikely to be Dionysia's advisor, it is possible he was part of Dionysia, whether as a former student or staff or something else. This follows a strange line from Benkei in Episode 17, Chapter 1 where MC states that she doesn't want to interrupt Elias while he's working, and Benkei is confused to hear that, and implies that Elias isn't employed in the capacity we assume he is. He is cut off by himself before he can reveal much else to us though, so please take this with a grain of salt.

I believe that the honorifics and self-referential promouns are called Appellations. That word is used on the Twisted Wonderland wiki.gg for each of the characters. Which is a game with a similar sort of genre as Tkdb

That's a word for it, yes! I've put my greedy little hands on the TWST wiki, don't worry anon. I haven't made an edit in forever (sorry wiki) but I am part of that wiki team.

Anyway! Appellations is a good word for it. I just use honorifics since it's also a catch-all, and I honestly could not remember the word Appellation. Both refer to the same thing regardless!

My hope is that I will finish this list for every character too. It's just a bit slow going as I comb through the JP for it, and because there's some special cases (Elias uses three pronouns, as does Taiga. Sho uses a different 'you' for MC and others, Zenji uses katakana for his honorifics, etc). If there's other specific characters you'd like to know about, feel free to send in a request and I'll prioritise getting those done!

Hello! I'm curious if you've ever written anything about how the PC refers to the ghouls in jp, since it seems like a language quirk that can't be translated into eng without it sounding awkward (different honorifics, first name vs last name). I noticed she calls Yuri 'Isami-san' and Jiro 'Jiro-kun' while rereading the second Mort chapter and now I'm super curious

Hihi! I haven't actually, but I believe @tkdb-encyclopedia is planning on one?? Or maybe I'm thinking of their first person pronoun(s in Taiga and Elias' cases. . .Taiga uses three different ones and I believe Elias uses two) and how they refer to the PC, I can't remember which Eset said they were working on.

The thing about "Isami-san" for example just being translated into his first name in English is that there's a culturel nuance there! It's considered rude and oftentimes intimate to use someone's first name(in particular without an honorific) so the appropriate neutral form of address in Japanese is "familyname-[title]" or "familyname-san" or something like "title-san"("tokutaisei-san" for "honor student" is probably one you've heard many times by now) in most cases. But in english using someone's surname is either formal or kind of rude. So that has to be changed to using given names most of the time to make speech sound more natural!

Off the top of my head the pc doesn't use the surname of:

Kaito: they're friends and Kaito probably said to call him by his name(I admit I don't remember their intro scene off the top of my head) because. Well they're friends and he wants to feel intimate and close to girls. I believe she uses 'Kaito-kun' for him.

Lucas, Romeo, Edward, Lyca: westerners, so they would prefer to be referred to by their given names but default. She uses honorifics with them all I believe--Luca-kun, Romeo-san, Ed-san, Lyca-kun

Leo: 'LEO' is his screen name and his given name so he already introduces himself as 'Leo' both on and offline. As such it's not as intimate to him. I believe she uses 'Leo-kun'. Notably Sho just uses 'Leo' without an honorific--which is very intimate, to the point that you're more likely to hear someone address their partner that way then their best friend if I remember right.

Shohei: hates being referred to by anything but 'Sho', especially 'Shohei', which she respects. I think she uses 'Sho-kun'? Leo uses 'Sho-chan'. Hyde uses 'Shohei' even when Sho tells him not to to his face.

Towa: Towa introduced himself with his given name and no surname. I don't think she even learned his surname until Ren called him 'Otonashi-senpai'. . .but 'Otonashi' literally means 'without sound.' she honestly may have just thought he was saying 'mute senpai' and not know that's his name lmao. . . . . .

Haku and Rui: I believe she uses their first names snd '-san'. They're the flirty type who'd have a girl use their given name to show intimacy, same as Kaito! -san because they're third years but also she's inspector so I don't think she uses 'senpai' for anyone off the top of my head?

Jiro: believes you should just call him whatever is most convenient. 'Jiro' is half the syllables of 'Kirisaki' so why call him by his family name when his given name is much faster? Culturo-linguistic standards? Seems inconvenient and unnecessary, so don't bother. The pc uses 'Jiro-kun' if I'm remembering right. I wonder, given mentions of having a family and the sight of Zenji's birthday made him feel ill, if he doesn't like being referred to with his family name because it makes him start to slip into another episode?

Professors/Darkwick staff: introduced with only one name and to be referred to with that name. I believe it's also against the rules to inquire about staff personal information, and calling Hyde 'Haizono-sensei' might go against that. . .nobody else uses it anyway and it would probably make Sho upset so best to just day 'Hyde.'

I think she uses everyone else's surnames and either -san or -kun depending on their grade(second and first is -kun because they're her peers or underclassmen, and third years are -san.)

Heya, I was reading up on your post about the anomalous tree only Towa and PC could see, would you say that in terms of PC, she could see it because of the ring? Or is it like with Zenji where she could sense it's there, and if so, what would this power even be considered as or called?

Somehow I didn't realise this answer didn't post. Sorry anon! Great Question! I genuinely Do Not Know.

She can definitely see it, not just sense it, given the dialogue surrounding it, but whether it's a ring ability or an MC weird ability or what is unknown. Currently we know Towa can see it, and MC can see it, and Ed Can't See It (and that Haru also probably can't see it), but we'd probably need more data points to definitively say whether this is an MC thing (which would therefore be because of either Her Ring or Her Curse, given the fact that those are the two strange things about her) or if it's truly a special little club for Towa, MC, and some other folks. The main two people I would like to meet at the tree some day are Kaito (for his stigma on 'seeing auras' and his generally good eyesight) and Taiga (because in Episode 6, Chapter 27 there's a very strange conversation in which Taiga stops Ritsu from moving, and Ed says, 'Of course, you can see, can't you? You have a compassionate boss, young man.' and then Taiga immediately agrees to the deal Ed offered, which he had just told him 'Fuck that.' to over like Two Lines Ago).

In terms of what it would be called.... it would depend on the nature of it. It's very easy to interpret one power as another. My favourite example to give for this is Lucas' stigma. His power is, at a glance, 'Creating barriers', and this is what everyone always says it is. And yes! He is technically creating invisible barriers. But the actual thing he is doing is 'Summoning a creature to protect him from harm'. Is it a barrier? Yes. But it's the difference between using a Metal Slab and Another Soldier as a shield. Both protect you from harm, but in fundamentally different ways.

And so in terms of what it would be called.... sixth sense, maybe? Similar to what Ed has? Maybe rather than being because of the ring, it's in tandem with the ring? Which is to say, maybe the reason she can see it is the same reason the Sage's Ring 'picked' her. I dunno! I do hope we find out more about it though. I assume it'll become relevant again next chapter...

Though I was wondering, I know MC/PC is canonically mentioned to be a second year, but is it due to her status as honor roll or what is it exactly based off of (her age?) since this is technically her first year in Darkwick. (PS - Keep up the great work!)

I'm glad you like it! I hope it's been helpful to you, or anyone else!

As for why MC is a second year, I'm not quite sure. There's a few reasons it could be the case, but neither JP nor ENG explicitly clarifies as far as I know.

The first, and more like... obvious of the reasons is that if she is transferring into Darkwick as an Honour Student (as Cornelius says she is), she would technically have to be a second year, because otherwise there is no Transferring. Just. Enrolling. This is a very linguistics pedantic thing though, so I believe the more likely reason is simply that because Kaito and Lucas are second years, Dante made her one too.

Dante is who told MC that she's a second year, and then mentioned that Kaito and Lucas will be her guides and that she can stick with them (both of these occur in Prologue, Chapter 32). It's likely that they did this so she could have somebody she knows in her classes who can help as opposed to forcing her in with the 1st years where she would both know nobody and nothing At All.

Another alternate possibility is just that since her goal is to help the ghouls with a focus on enhancing their stigmas, it could be that Darkwick assumed she'd be more useful surrounded by the 2nd years, who will have more control over their stigma than the first years, but less than the 3rd years, which means they may benefit most from her skills.

Regardless, I doubt it's based off age, for the sole fact that Chapter 4 says she's 'about' Haku's age, so if it was based off that, she would probably be a 3rd year based on that line alone.

I wish I had a better answer for you. I think on a meta level the answer is truly just 'They made Kaito and Lucas 2nd years and needed her to be part of that trio', but lore-wise I find any of these to be Plausible Enough.

This is two and a half Calendar years prior, meaning it is roughly in March. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [2] Interestingly, this is a JP note. In Episode 6, Chapter 5, the English has Moby mention that the Gala is at the end of August, when the fourth years return. The Japanese script has Moby saying that the fourth years return when it becomes August to prepare for graduation, and that at the end of that month, the Gala takes place. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [3] Given the fact that the other known entrance ceremonies both take place in September, it is an educated guess that this is the case for the second years as well. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [4] Episode 15, Chapter 25 has Haku mention that he was in Frostheim for a year before transferring to Hotarubi. In Chapter 2, Rui says Haku transferred suddenly after becoming a 2nd year (in the JP text), meaning that it was most likely September when Haku transferred to Frostheim. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [5] Episode 7, Chapter 26 says the immortal inpatient was cursed during a mission 'last year', though whether that is last school year or last calendar year is unclear. If it was last school year, there is still a chance he was cursed in 2023 (if it happened early on in the year). The implication is that he was cursed prior to March 2024, due to Nicolas saying Yuri wouldn't recognise him nor would Jiro. March-April, 2024 is roughly when multiple events related to the Clash occurred, including transfers, so it is likely that it happened before this point, as it would prevent him and Yuri from meeting. As for Jiro, we don't actually know when he was woken from his coma, so… shrugs. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [6] This one is kinda a doozy. Multiple moving parts place the prologue in 2024. To begin, in Episode 15, Chapter 27, there is a Suspicious Person Report filed on July 10th, 2021. In a subsequent chapter, Chapter 29, Haku discusses the disappearance of Yu Kunishige, who vanished five years ago. Following this disappearance, her father kills himself a year later, and becomes the Unknown Caller anomaly. He is a newer anomaly (also mentioned in Ch27) compared to the other ghosts. Assuming the Unknown Caller is already an anomaly (given that he knows Hanao Numata and was not asking about Yu, as reports said he would do when he was alive), this means Yu vanished no later than 2020. And, if Yu vanished in 2020, and her father killed himself in 2021, that would place Episode 15 in 2025, given that Chapter 5 has Zenji mention it is almost blossom season (Blossom season occurred in Late March) and MC explicitly say it is March. This matches up with Episode 14 taking place in February, and Episode 13 taking place in December.

Furthermore, in Episode 16, Chapter 11, Ritsu mentions it has been 266 days since Sinostra was placed on Probation, which would place that chapter in May. It can't be 2024 at the time of that statement because it was a leap year, and it would mean his count is off by one. It can't be earlier either, because of the aforementioned Yu Kunishige issue. That issue is also why it can't be set in the future; if it is 2026, for example, Yu disappeared in 2021, and her father would be looking for her when the report is filed. Similarly, if it was 2027, there would be no report to file, as Yu would not have disappeared at the time of its filing. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [7] Considering how many Clash related events take place in March or April (which is halfway through the school year), it is unfathomable that it wouldn't take place in 2024. Could it hypothetically take place in 2023? I guess so. But there's no reason for there to be a minimum 3 month gap between major events. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [8] MC speculates in Episode 5, Chapter 31 that Zenji's death happened during the Clash. Haku also states that he died during the 'thick of [all the problems last year]', so it was Likely around the Clash era. Zenji also didn't know the gala was cancelled, as that happened after he died. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [9] In Episode 3, Chapter 11, Haru mentions it took him six months to learn Jabberwock's ropes, and later on in Episode 16, Chapter 8 that Haru transferred suddenly, so it was likely in the middle of last school year. However, horrifically, while the English says it took 6 months for him to learn the ropes, the word he uses in Japanese is 半月; half a month. Further investigation into Kansai-ben shows no special other meaning, so... Um. Yeah. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [10] Episode 2, Chapter 26 Leo mentions that Tohma was in Vagastrom until the middle of last school year, which would put it Vaguely In March. This more or less aligns with the Clash. In Episode 1, Chapter 1, Yumiko and another Frostheim student gossip briefly, and mention that people believe Tohma had something to do with Yuri's transfer. I placed them roughly around the same time therefore, but it is totally possible Yuri's transfer happened Earlier or Later.

[11] In Episode 4, Chapter 10 Ritsu says Taiga became Captain approximately half a year ago. Given that it is October, six months earlier would be April, though as always it could be March that he transfers, given the sheer amount of Clash-specific issues that happen around this time. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [12] Episode 9, Chapter 5 has Kaito reveal that Romeo has been hunting him for half a year at the time of saying that. Once again, given that it is November, and given that the Casino opens roughly around April, and given that Kaito also mentions he didn't see Romeo prior to this, it would make sense that this starts around May. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [13] Once again, Episode 15, Chapter 25 has Haku say he was in Frostheim for a full year before transferring again. Since he is in Hotarubi and seemingly well adapted to it by the beginning of the story, he likely transferred sometime in July or August. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [14] Multiple mentions to when Dionysia became defunct occur, namely Episode 5, Chapter 2 (where it is mentioned they closed last school year) and Episode 16, Chapter 5 (where it is reiterated that Dionysia became defunct at the end of last school year). In the English script, Elias mentions in Ep16 Chapter 7 that Dionysia has been Abandoned for six months, however the JP says that it went defunct Over six months ago, meaning it is still reiterating that Dionysia has been out of commission for quite some time. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [15] Another assumption that this is a yearly event that always reoccurs at the same time every year. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [16] In the Prologue, Chapter 1 it is 7:13pm when MC is on the train coming back (based on timestamps from her group chat). However, in Chapter 3 (and reiterated again in Chapter 4), it is suddenly daytime after MC is cursed. When it is daytime, it is known to be September 4th, and morning based on how much happens during the Prologue in one day, meaning it is likely MC was cursed on September 3rd, and Kisaragi Station OR Kyklos caused time discrepancies.

Another more unhinged reason is that the prophecy says the Whisper of the New Moon would lead the Champion to the isle. In 2024 in Tokyo, the new moon for September occurred September 3rd, roughly around 11pm. Does this moon chart line up with anything else? No, basically just this. However it's a neat coincidence regardless. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [17] In Episode 4, Chapter 21, Kaito says he bet September 5th of that year to the Oblivion Dealer. Later in Chapter 29, he says it was the day after the entrance ceremony, meaning that the entrance ceremony took place September 4th. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [18] Not only does the dates line up with the days that pass throughout the chapters, MC also has the option to bet September 8th of that year in Episode 4, Chapter 24, which is mentioned as the Celebratory Ball in Frostheim. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [19] Once again, Episode 4, Chapter 24 allows MC to wager September 19th, noting it was the Vagastrom undercover investigation where they first used the Fox Robe. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [20] Once again, Episode 4 Chapter 24. [21] In Episode 6, Chapter 34 Edward says it's the full moon that night, which is important for the purpose of reiterating the moon thing is likely a coincidence, given that the full moon for October when this chapter occurs is October 17th, which is genuinely impossible for Obscuary to reach, given that this is the fourth day for Obscuary's investigation, and there's a minimum 3 days timeskip between the end of Hotarubi, which is already a week, and Sinostra ends October 10th. Womp womp. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [22] Interestingly enough, in Episode 5, Chapter 9 Moby mentions needing money by the 25th of the month to pay for a ticket to an exclusive stream, which lead me to believe this is when it takes place. However, the Japanese script says he needs it by the 25th of next month. So shrugs.
