This is something that I think is important, so bare with me for a second. I first saw @thesuicidesign a few years ago, in pictures that a couple of my friends took with it. I was so blown away by how powerful the images were and how much someone cared enough to take the time and effort to raise awareness about it. I struggled hard with depression and suicidal thoughts when I was younger, and I’ve lost a few very good friends who thought their lives weren’t worth the effort anymore. I understand both sides of the coin, because I’ve felt that crushing hopelessness before. I just want anyone that feels this way to know that life does move forward and it does get better. It’s never instant and it’s never painless, but it IS possible. Please, I beg anyone out there that’s feeling this way; don’t make a permanent decision over temporary problems. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, and don’t be ashamed for struggling and hurting. It’s all part of being human. Thank you to @carlitos_n for allowing me to be a part of this project and thank you to all of my friends and family for helping me through the hard days, whether you knew it or not. I love you all.

Happy Gotcha Day to my little monster man. I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year with Spencer Jr. He’s the sweetest little dopey guy you’ll ever meet, who also happens to lose his damn mind when he’s happy to see anyone he loves. He has a helicopter tail that never stops, and lives to give kisses to the entire world (and his older brother who pretends he hates them). Who knew raising a 90-lb lap dog could be so fun?
