   megara really didn’t understand rapunzel. she was a little too nice for her liking. it didn’t exactly make sense. she was going to grab herself a bottle of vodka to pour herself a shot and downed it. only to look up as rapunzel spoke,“ they aren’t your thing?” she shrugged as she took another good look at the younger girl,“ again you don’t exactly fit in here, you’re just-i don’t even know how to describe you.”

shaking her head, she had no problem being a bit of an odd ball, everyone was dimensional to her. not to mention that if she worked at a place she found comfort in then it brought a bigger smile to her. “no, they’re rather confining,” she hummed as she sipped lightly on her colorful drink. “thank you for the compliment.”

“I wouldn’t want to forget anyone. Everyone that crosses your path helps guide you a little bit further. But I would like to get to know Megara and Adam a little better.” @megegan @adamashman

he let out a small huff of air in amusement at her question. he liked to think that he helped keep carthay in tip-top shape, so much so that he never thought about how it would be if he was gone. he didn’t want to toot his horn so much that he believed the city would fall apart without him, but he also never wanted to imagine a situation where carthay wasn’t as good as it should be. “ i’d hate to even think about it, ” he replied with a tiny smile. he looked at her outfit and nodded. “ i see that. feeling extra productive today, are we? ” usually he wasn’t one to stay long at other people’s homes, but rapunzel always knew how to keep him around for longer than normal. “ i mean, if you’ve got some, sure. i’d hate to inconvenience you, though. ”

the girl couldn’t help but give a content sigh towards her friend. she was all too happy to have him stop by for a visit, knowing he just wanted to check up on her and nothing more but she couldn’t help but delay him for longer. “i was just so caught up in this book i read earlier about a bird who searched for the most beautiful tree in the work and she never found it but she found what she needed. and that my friend, is what i’m painting,” she smiled, looking over to him before waving him off. “oh come on, inconvenience me? i love it when you come to visit. you’re family.. what kind would you like? i keep it stocked for flynn and my dad. so what will it be? bud light, ipa’s, pale ale’s? i surprisingly have it all.”

    jack knew that he was probably going to regret ending a conversation the way he was. he was shaking his head at himself before looking up at the girl. all he did was shove his phone in his pocket,“ it’s not something you need to apologize for.” he was taken by surprise at the mention of a favor. he went to take a few steps towards her, his eye brows raised,“ um,” he paused,“ a favor? what kind of favor?” he wasn’t entirely sure what she could want from him.

she should’ve asked before hand, maybe asking unannounced was too rude and any chance that he might’ve said no would kill her chances at making her birthday fantastic. the girl couldn’t help but laugh nervously as she pulled out a set of blueprints and lists from her canvas tote bag. “i just needed your opinion. this year my parents left me in charge of the lantern festival and i know you throw the best bashes in town. i just... i want everyone in town to have fun and be happy and i’ll be heartbroken if they don’t. i was wondering if you could give it a look?”

“ yeesh, fine, so she’s not your mother. no need to be so damn testy about it. what’s there to be sensitive about anyways ? it’s not like she’s gonna try to kidnap you again. that’d be a bit redundant, don’t you think ? unless you’re worried your parents are going to beg for her to take you back or some shit. can you say plot twist. ”

the girl couldn’t help but feel the unwanted sense of anger fill her being, what an ugly emotion. “listen to yourself! you’re just saying things that you know will cause a rise out of me. what she did was terrible, it broke my parents and stole part of my life, if you can’t see that then no amount of flowers can fix you. this shop is for paying customers and if you aren’t planning on buying something then leave, and i won’t be as kind if i have to tell you the second time.”

   megara was going to murder someone if the night got any worse. she could not believe the luck that she had. she was going to toss her shoes into a garbage bag once she had gotten them off. her head lifting when she heard rapunzel’s voice,“ chances are they will end up passed out in the gutter,” she said after a moment, shrugging,“ i got it and i wouldn’t say no to the sandals, walking barefoot in this place? not ideal.” she was a bit surprised to see the younger girl there,“ i didn’t think you’d still be hanging around here.”

the girl frowned at the others words, maybe she should’ve called them a cab, she never wanted anyway to be unsafe after drinking. the girl placed a hand on her chest, in worry before her attention was snapped towards the other. “i couldn’t imagine, flynn always makes sure i have at least something on my feat coming in here... shoes just aren’t my thing, you know?” the girl couldn’t help but tilt her head. “why? i have plenty of friends that hang out in here.”

“It would! You need to get my sister on our side. She’s determined that whole story about sharks being more likely to attack at night is true…. I mean, I’ve never researched it, but that just sounds bogus, y’know?” Lilo shrugged, her sister w a s just looking out for her… “I guess I need to come to this festival, then!” 

“I could talk to her if you wanted, offer her something in exchange for you riding out at night, you know? With how many boats and lights there will be, I can’t imagine a shark wanting to come and disrupt the fun,” she nodded towards the girl, clapping excitedly. “Oh really? You know you just made my day.”

“I swear, it’s rarely ever dark in the middle of the city - there’s always something going on,” she nodded. “It’s really nice to be able to come here and get a change of pace and get my thoughts back in order,” she chuckled. “Do you like stargazing often?”

“Yeah but each beauty is different, you know what I mean? In the city there’s so much life and everyone interacting with one another and out here, it’s just so... peaceful.” The girl couldn’t help but reach her hand towards the sky. “I do, I love it. I love the sun and I love the stars, but each beauty is different, stars tell so many stories,” she said, scrunching her nose. “what about you?”

“of course,” the woman tilted her head, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear. “it’s a festival for everyone, everything is paid for and free. it’s supposed to be an experience... a chance to feel love with our town.”

R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party?

She has a huge birthday festival every summer. So.. Last summer. 

I: In general, are they organized or messy?

Rapunzel is a very organized person, there is a spot for everything.  

D: What time does their day usual start?

She usually wakes up from 7:30 to 8. 

E: Are they the happiest they’ve ever been?  

Yes! But she thinks that she could be happier with every passing day. That’s tiring.

“Flynn’s one of my best friends, but I can’t not picture him in my life.”

do you not feel you turned out to be a pretty good person with gothel, though?

“It’s not about if she did a good job raising me or not. She took that job from someone else, my actual mother. I feel like people forget that and the sooner they stop sympathizing with Gothel is the sooner we can forget she existed.”

“I’m a sucker for second chances but she had eighteen years to do the right thing and she never did. She’s a horrible person.”
