The ending of Vinland Saga is so fitting. So gentle and unassuming in its circular inevitability. Thorfinn preserves a peaceful life by quietly leaving his home to start over again – just like his father did before him. He leaves behind him growing things, wheat to sustain people – something he learned from Einar. And of course there's the new baby, born out of love shared with Gudrid. It is an open ending, yes. We don't know if Thorfinn might someday be forced into combat again, and that's painful to imagine. But we do know how Thorfinn would respond in that situation. Because his journey is complete now, and every step he took was out of love.

Visa and Mastercard may be getting a lot of calls about their adult content policies, but I just called in to PayPal and not only was there no wait, the customer service rep I got had never had one of these calls before (they were very nice about it.)

Don't overlook the online processors - even more than Visa and Mastercard they are the ones pressuring online retailers. PayPal is the one that's been pressuring Patreon over the last year or so.

I've had no luck reaching Stripe, all of the numbers people have dug up ring through as disconnected.

I genuinely think the idea that if you should draw a little every day or you'll suffer skill degradation is a total fabrication. Some of the best art I've ever drawn has been coming back from long breaks. I'm talking like weeks. Sometimes you just gotta reset and flush the systems. There's no shame in it. Take breaks. The art will be there for you when you're ready.

I'm sure other people have shared this but i really hope this pans out. that all being said i think this being the catalysis for us getting up payment processors asses has been a net positive. i really hope people keep pushing. from what i've seen ppl saying on bluesky it dose feel like there is a growing frustration on there end. i really hope we can revers some of the puritanical bs that's been shoved on us
