Final series of poster

The concept of circular economy is based on these 4 aspects, i have used a plastic bottle as the main common element in my illustrations as plastic bottles are the most produced non-biodegradable materials that can be recycled in one too many ways as they have an eternal lifecycle.

Poster ideations (which never worked)

The final idea was to highlight the main aim of circular economy that us the idea to regenerate and use a product throughout its life cycle.I used illustrations to depict each aspect and also designed a logo for the poster using koi fish that are used to represent a infinity logo and balance.

Week 7-Damn.We made it to the end.

Back to research and finalization of the news for the final series of posters.I went ahead and shared the research I did last time and got my news approved.Back to research and ideation for the poster.Double diamond process being witnessed.

I faced a problem with the content when the research was becoming too vast so I had to shorten it down and consize the information for 5 posters.To which I again looked more into the concept of circular economy and its key aspects.

Week 6-Feedback and improvements at their best.....

This week we had to submit all our final improved work for #knowyourcalssmate, typo poster for power and the interactive poster too. We had one or two review sessions until we finally submitted the posters.

After countless small changes and outcome analyzing the final poster was in for marking.

Next up was the typo poster that we did , there were major changes regarding the text and message it brought through but overall our idea was a success and we used it throughout.

I even made a version for the front and the back in a way for if it was printed as a giveaway and not a poster. It would be printed in the actual credit card size and be used as the give away.

Last but definitely not the least the interactive power poster. We put in a lot of time and money into the poster so with the hopes that the results are as we want them. Thankfully the interactive part came through and we submitted that too. But we fell behind with the message which wasn't quite direct for which we again thought of taglines that could go along with the poster and gave our message to the people who interact with it.

We finalized the tagline 'khazne ki roshni, laxmi ka andaaz, aaye dekhe kya hai paiso ka raaz.'

Week 5-Research for your life

A talk on how and in what ways our research should be planned and done.Our final assignment was on a series of posters on a specific news we pick.I looked into a couple idea and got them shot down after sharing them.Amongst all the ideas I liked the aviation fuel usage and application stood out more.....

Despite being eliminated as an direct news I went ahead and looked further and found out about more about such initiatives taken by different governments and found out about the concept of circular economy.

Week 4-#MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS

This week started with the review of our final typo posters and on which we got further improvements and feedback to work on. We now had to make poster using imagery and color ,we looked through various figures who can help us represent the power of money. Given the ideology of god and goddesses we decided to use those. We looked through different mythologies and their representation of the god of money. We decided to go with LAXMI as our representation for the poster. We had to figure out the content and how to incorporate our message using Laxmi.

We had a new hurdle along the poster which was that this poster had to be interactive (sigh).

We revolved our idea around Laxmi and how we can make it interactive. We spoke to our seniors and took some suggestion and finally came up with make a vr filter to which ma'am improvised did and said what if the vr filter was a mirror and people could physically interact as they passed by. We started working on our tagline and and the poster final draft.

Week 3-Livin for the money, listen to the money talk

We had our very first typo poster reviewed and got reviews on our poster again from ma'am as well a the entire batch. We got a good review and rather than review an eye opener on how bad our first drafts were....

We further got more time to make and redo our typo poster alongside which we also had to submit our final KNOWYOURCLASSMATE posters.

This was my final poster-

We came up with the idea of using materialistic things to represent the idea of our posters and so that all 3 of them are connected by the meaning and message. We decided to use a credit card, bill and a price tag to represent the idea of our poster. Our or much rather my hurdle was as to how to fit the same layout idea into that of a layout of a credit card. After 3 hrs of countless sketches and idea's. I decided to use the layout of a vertical credit card(yes they do exist).

We decided to use lyrics to represent the power of money and the idea of capitalism is a boon. Each one of took a lyrics form songs that supported the idea of money can buy happiness and made posters accordingly.

Week 2-POWER!

We started the week with where we left off the last time that was a discussion on the word power and what it meant to you and how you related to it. The previous week we made groups of 3s and 4s and were asked to look at the word power with it's different aspects and make a mind map and present it to the class using the platform MIRO. My group consisted of Urna and Prakruthi with whom I worked together for this assignment. We collaborated on MIRO and made a mind map onto he different aspects of power we can draw out.

Further the same week had a discussion on picking one of our aspects and to work on the further aspects of it. In which we chose materialistic power under which we chose capitalism as our key aspect which we looked further into. We then had a discussion with ma'am on our final power aspects and how we will represent it. We were asked to make a typo poster using the same aspect.

Further the same week we received our very first assignment for the module. The assignment was more to get ourselves interactive with our batchmates and getting to know each other. To do so we were paired up with one person to make a poster on them or much rather a poster that tells us about that person or at least as to how much you know them. The the assignment was titled 'Know your classmate'. For which I was paired up with Anushka Singh ,who I had interacted with before but after the assignment got to know so much more about and made me get my self more aware of my hobbies too. We had talks with each other at first only regarding the poster and on our likes and dislikes and along the way found out a lot about each other as batchmates who will stick together the next few semesters. I tried my best to incorporate her likes and hobbies into the poster. Went through countless ideations and redo's and with no doubt hated my first attempt more than anything else. I won't say the final one was the best thing I made but definitely spoke more about Anushka than the first poster ever could and taught me more about my skills and standing on my current understanding of poster design.

After the first attempts we had a review session with Milly ma'am and all our batchmates wherein we reviewed each person's works and shared our opinions and also got feedback from ma'am herself to further work on our poster improvement.

We concluded the week with a brief for our next assignment and got time to further our improvements on the know your classmate as well as to think on our new assignment which was words that connect to the word POWER.

WEEK 1-the start of it all

The start of it all was with our new module that begins this week, the module is named PROJECT1 : POSTER DESIGN. As the name suggests the entire module is about the understanding that revolves around poster design, not just making them but understanding what are the various elements in a poster and what are the factors that contribute to a good poster as well as the factors that make up a rather bad poster design. In the first week we took time to get to know our faculty Ms. Milly Singh for the course as well as understanding the various ways in which the previous modules make up the key aspects for the application of this one. We got a huge hand down of knowledge on typography. We learnt about the different fonts there are .....stories behind them....about typeface designers and even played a game to guess the typeface. We also learnt about the relation between imagery, type and colour. The concept of jarring boundaries and the role on content, concept and context.
