This past week I slipped back into old habits. I intended to give my body a break not realizing that I took a break from everything else. The things that I've worked so hard for took a backseat unintentionally. But then I had to really ask myself, was it really unintentional? Was I aware that it was happening? And the answer to that is yes! I let my excuses get the best of me. I found myself back in a familiar place. A place where taking the easy road was far more appealing than the road I have been traveling. Yes, I was dealing with some health stuff but that's not an excuse to sleep on my dream. So today, I will put on my cape and get to work. You see, this shirt means more to me than the 2 words on it. It symbolizes all that I have endured, accomplished, and overcame. It reminds me that I can get through ANYTHING! So taking a couple steps back is nothing. Nothing compared to the ordeal that we go through as moms. A little over a year ago, I made the decision to become my own boss... to start my own business. It was the best decision I ever made. It made it possible for moments like these.
