I got clip studio paint on sale so learning how to use that because my wallet dont want to handle photoshop anymore, painting in CPS is so similar but so different it’s almost like relearning how to paint.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my art, what I want to do, how it looks and so on. And I’ve figured almost only drawing fanart has been restricting me alot. I began drawing fanart partly because then I didnt have to worry so much about design and just focus on the technical aspect instead. But I reached a point where the established designs made me limit myself.

So I decided to do original stuff and limit myself to black and white and gold (and MAYBE another solid color) because I really suck at colors so I’m working on my dark and light values instead. I know I’m wishy washy and too easily influenced by other people’s awesome artstyles but I’ll TRY to stick to just a couple ones.

Of course that doesnt mean I’ll never draw fanart again, I might just draw fanart next week for all I know. I’m just not going to have an idea and go “ok which character would this fit?”

I might not post everything I do or even right when they’re done but I’m still here, especially now that my health is getting a little better (≖ᴗ≖✿)

I was showing off how big the hood is on my winter coat and my friend said I almost looked like a game character and that is one of the best compliments I’ve ever gotten on my appearance

Day 25: Lingonberry

I live in a place where reindeer in the streets is not that uncommon so I wanted to do something related to that. And then I spend probably an hour researching their diet to find a suitable plant. If I remember correctly the lingonberry bush doesnt wilt in winter so it’s a vital food source
