Food glorious....

....Baby food I am loving making my own food for Amélie. Pasta with tomato, herbs and butternut squash, cous cous, fruit salad ice cubes... I feel so domesticated. Do I really have to put her into nursery next month? :(

Weeeaner

Well, solid foods. Ah the lovely purees. I'd love to eat puree all day, but Amélie has other preferences. Namely a Sky remote or a knuckle. Am having mixed success with more failure than success! Apparently blowing raspberries with a mouthful of pulverised carrots is what the kids are into these days. Just eat it pleeeease! Never thought weaning would be such a mission! And so it continues...

Just wanted to share one of my favourite photos of my 2 favourite people :)

I hope my boy knows how much I love how he just deals with everything in his stride. Never moaning (well not too much) and having to have all the sleepless nights where most Dad's get to bypass alot of this. I'm very grateful for everything you do and couldn't, and woudn't want to, do it without you.

Mini Chauffeur

I'm loving being able to take Amélie out for walks sat on my lap in the mei tai sling. It really feels good to have her with me as I move round, as any baby should be with their parent. I've had a cover PA all this last week and despite my apprehensions, I felt a more 'independent parent', more so than usual which was so refreshing. People knew she was mine! I'm finding people find it easier to talk to me as a human being and not a vegetable with a tag-along carer. Only thing I need to conquer now is how to stop Amélie's mischievous habit of trying to drive me with her left hand on the controls! Could get dangerous, she's already tried to introduce me to a few lamp posts.
