THE BIG THREE WEBTOON ARE GETTING ANIME ADAPTATIONS

The anime streaming service Crunchyroll just announced its lineup of originals coming out this year, of which include three webtoons from @webtoon, Noblesse, Tower of God, and The God of High School

Watch the Originals trailer here. Y’all know I used to be the biggest Noblesse fangirl, so I’m squealing rn. The other two are going to be so beautiful and awesome in animation.

@iamusuallynice John was like this before Wellston. He didn't become anything except a big ol hypocrite. He called out Remi for not doing enough to protect the weaker students when he himself didnt do anything and can't even protect his best friend lmao. He doesn't care about how the hierarchy is affecting the weak, only that he was dragged back into into it. If Arlo had left him alone/nothing had happened to Sera, John would have been content to watch other students suffer. He's not fighting any kind of evil

@marvelman600 I wouldnt say that the roles have been reversed necessarily. I suppose with the imposter jokers you could say that, but John himself was only falling in line with the status quo, which is the strong railing on the weak. He has no interest in changing or fixing the system, he only intervened bc it was operating in a way he disliked (Sera getting hurt and John getting involved)

I am so ready for Sera to find out the truth about John. She seems like the only person he cares about but her seeing him being monstrous will hopefully knock some sense into. It must be done.

But I'm really liking that dragon idea! As a college student myself, I can only imagine the hilarity that would ensue in trying to care for a baby dragon when you have a midterm tomorrow.

I am legit in the same boat. I can't draw for shit but have been trying to practice a bit? All for a few stories that I know would function better as webtoons rather than novels.

You can make like merryweathery and get a different artist for each of your stories lol

My favorite webtoon of all time is Save Me(*). It's about a boy in a wheel chair who is bullied relentlessly until a new transfer student takes matters into his own hands. The use of pacing is phenomenal and whips from antagonizingly slow to dizzyingly fast at the drop at a hat. The story is awesome and all the characters are interesting. Plus the art is gorgeous. Bastard(+) is also a really good webtoon for these same reasons. That's about a boy who is trying to figure out how to take down his serial killer dad. The suspence is INSANE. Anything can and does happen in this author's works.

I also really loved Miss Guillotine(*) and in terms of story progression, it is one of my faves. It's about a girl who plans to avenge her sister after her death at the hands of the town's beloved magical girl heroes. The themes in this are dope; it explores justice and its inherent subjectivity.

If you like romance with a dash of flavor, I recommend Cheese in the Trap(+) or Oh Holy(+). The former always had me questioning myself and what the trap was. The latter is a convoluted saga of fun and funniness. My Secret Brother(*)is also super great. Siren's Lament(+) is heat now ngl
