(Teddie, what was your inspiration in making your hair longer?)

"The natural course of nature! Whatever matures gets bigger! And my maturity needs to be clearly visible to whoever meets me! Hence, ALL of me needs to be bigger and better!"

"O-Oh...? Ah... hee hee..."

Teddie blushed crimson when Chie's arms wrapped around him. Warm and close... He felt wonderful. He lost no time to return the hug. It was nice, to snuggle close to someone else like that.

"Ah, so... Chie-chan..." 

He wanted to talk on to ask her what she actually had been thinking about, but... on second thought...He was way to comfortable to talk.

"...Heh... nevermind..."

He was just gonna enjoy that hug as long as it lasted. Plus, he already made Chie feel better, too! That was a success!

  Chie definitely hadn’t expected Teddie to be this mature about it, but she found it somewhat comforting. “Y-Yeah, I guess you’re right.” she replied, smiling. She actually even chuckled at his over pronunciation of bear, for once it was actually kind of endearing.

"You’re right. Yeah. That’s a good quote." she nodded, before sighing and wrapping her arms around Teddie, hugging him gently. Whilst it was usually her foot that touched him, she was in a particularly sensitive mood and she felt a hug would help her. She also wanted to hug him due to him talking about his own feelings. She felt like they both needed the hug.

((A thing about Teddie I think a lot of people miss that the entirety of his being is built around a single sentence. "I want somebody to love me." That's the psychological complex he was born from and everything else about him simply developed out of that.

His ticks, habits, his learned behavior, his likes, dislikes, his personality, how lenient he is with people, how starved for attention and how easily hurt he is, it all comes from his one sentence. 

He's an incarnate need for hugs. As long as he's in someone's hug, he's entirely fulfilled. But as soon as that someone pulls away, he starts feeling lonely again. That's what makes it so difficult for him to rely on himself, rather than others.))

"Just because you think it's dumb, it doesn't mean it is dumb though," Teddie said, sounding - for what Chie was probably used to - surprisingly mature.

"Swallowing it all down and then bearing it with a smile won't always help, you know! -Oh... Heh..."

He noticed he had overpronounced the 'bear' again and chuckled.

"I once read something somewhere, you know... Um, it was something like... 'Loneliness isn't being alone; it is having nobody to talk about how your feel to'."

He seemed unsure he had quoted right, but he was certain the meaning was right, at least.

"I felt that way a lot... I tried to make myself feel better about myself by forcing myself onto everyone and having people pay attention to me. I thought that'd kill the loneliness. But I barely ever said the things that were really on my mind. So it never lasted long until I did..."

  "Yeah, you know. Feelings and stuff!"

Chie smiled somewhat more genuinely as Teddie sat down next to her. It was hard to tell through his dumb behaviour at times, but she could tell he truly did care about his friends.

"I guess I’m overthinking, yeah." she nodded slightly. "It’s pretty dumb, honestly. It’s something that probably shouldn’t be an issue."
