Iron Man doesn't exist because of Tony Stark and a box of scraps, he exists because James Rhodes loves that little MIT dweeb.

Tony was lost in the desert for THREE MONTHS. Rhodey was still using up military resources against his superior's judgement and risking his job, just for the slight chance Tony Stark was still alive and needed him

Humans can only live about 3 days without water, that's if heat stroke didn't get him first, or hypothermia at night. Tony Stark would have died in Afghanistan if he didn't have a best friend who loved him, believed in him, and was a little stupid with grief

I feel like Tony’s ego is the most legendary cryptid in the MCU

Because I heard reports of it for years. The images of it are usually blurred and easily dismissed as something else to anyone with a pair of eyes and it has yet to actually be proven to factually exist.

Iron Man 1 really said "the actual bad guy is the white capitalist who is selling arms under the table to both sides in order to extend the war and make as much money from it as possible," and Iron Man 2 really said "the white capitalist who gives a platform to people with bad intentions in order to make a buck is the reason the bad intentions have the opportunity to prosper and cause untold damage," and Iron Man 3 really said "the real terrorist is the white capitalist who will create and use fear to manipulate governments and the public in order to sell a product," and I really don't think enough people recognise this.

I just found the post and I’m very confused about the MCU part from the OP.

MCU did GREAT with Tony’s characterization and development. All NINE movies were about him being pro-accountability, self sacrificing for others well being, focusing on clean energy, saying FU to ppl in power, etc etc etc.

The PROBLEM is the viewers have zero media literacy and it’s getting worse and worse to be completely honest.

Like for e.g. the major point of Civil War movie was Tony being “cops should be held accountable for their actions and should be regulated as to not cause tragedy” and some people actually watched that and came to the “omg Tony is pro-government and pro-police” conclusion.

The actually problem with Iron Man comics (and far too many other comics tbh it’s just that I notice it with Iron Man more) is that far too often whoever they got writing his story doesn’t actually LIKE him all that much and couldn’t care less imho. It would actually be better if they DID treat that character like MCU did.

Bit out of nowhere from me but I hate hate HATE how nowadays comic book writers who have never touched an Iron Man comic before write him as a tech bro without any kind of class awareness

As if Tony hasn't canonically been homeless and almost died because of it

As if there weren't lots (and I mean LOTS) of Iron Man comics that are a direct critique of capitalism because no matter how intelligent and talented Tony is, he loses a lot of money because he focuses on doing the right thing and not on making the line go up

As if Iron Man didn't have lots and lots of old comics warning about climate change and global warming

And I blame 1) The Civil War comic and 2) The MCU for this

Finally finished!! Go check out @jilliancares work on ao3 (this is a scene from Status Quo), it’s all amazing. As soon as I read this I had it in my head that I needed to draw it and so I tried my best to do it justice. Hopefully I did alright

Crayonpool grew on me so much lol, he’s my favorite part now😂

All of my Deadpool studies really paid off, he was really fun to draw…can’t say the same about Peter my GOD was that stressful
