THIS MF JUST TOLD HARU that everyone, who swims by his side end up in suffering. AND HARU JUST BELIEVED HIM
Remembering the scene with Rin in middle school!?!? Ffs, bro, you smaw with Rin a shit tone more times after that, you're a happily married rivals YOU HAVE LOTS of admirers and SWIMMING A RELAY WITH YOU IS A CURING EXPERIENCE SOMEHOW
Yet writes made you believe some bs because of already not relevant traumatic experience where u hurt ur most beloved rival fellings by winning fair and square
Cool.

So you're telling me that makoto had to literally duel some mf so that his friends could meet up with ikuya and talk (like i know they were a bit clingy but they just wanted to make some things clear and they had a right for that (they didn't have an intentional goal to hit kirishima with a friendship beam so he could hang out with them eternally!!)). But no, everything just had get complicated because we need extra episodes where literally nothing happens aside from ikuya being almost an npc who just suffers from whatever inner drama he has and makes no decisions for himself. He is like so fragile (how he managed to do professional sport for so long then) and even more autistic and obsessed than haru in the first season.
Writers be like "oooh no we have Haru healed by now whose drama will be the basis for the next season...yeah, let's make wannabe Haru and give him makoto-ish friend but more toxic and controlling. AND THEN makoto and the makoto-ish can compete so everyone could see how great our mama makoto compared to toxic boyfriend makoto. Oh, and prepare to fire that friendship beam uncontrollably. Remember guys, every problem can be solved if you swim relay with the right person (Haruka Nanase, preferably, or Rin Matsuoka, depending on your type) enough times
So yeah, i'm not really into Dive for the future.
Ikuya stop being a baby and make a decision: tell your middle school friends to stfu and leave u alone or just talk to them already. You're already in uni, for Christ's sake

What's the point of screaming about bravery and not being brave?
It's a sign for you to finally do it.

Imagine, there's two people. So loving towards each other, so compatible, it seems. But somehow they have to part their ways. For a career or simply for doing something they love. And it's so sad. But if you hold yourself or your partner back from taking the path that you or they want to take...will it be the same person you love? will it be the same with them?
You fell in love with a person, a person who have their own hobbies, dreams, opinions and goals. That's what shaped them in something you love. But then forcing them to choose you over all that... Is it really worth it?
*if that's their willing choice, then fine, but I'm talking about different situation. No one, neither a partner or society, should make you choose someone or an opportunity to be with someone, (even someone decent and caring) over yourself.
... don't force yourself, too
don't try to walk one common path with someone, when you know (or think) that the path that your heart longs for is different.

If something goes wrong, then it does.
You shouldn't try to persuade yourself that everything is fine, that you should be grateful for what you have, that you have to struggle through it to be worthy and strong or that it is all just an emotion or an affect.
If you feel shitty, then there's a reason for it. If something goes wrong, then something is wrong. No buts, no excuses.

to let something happen, you have to allow yourself to do something you never did. that's how the saying goes.
so, when your body or mind start to "go crazy", doing something unusual, think about it. maybe your subconscious being is longing for a change, for the end of some vicious cycle. maybe it is time to break you habit?
- I post it here as a reminder for myself

Only if i could to hide a feeling or an impression in some treasure chest to always be able to come back to it and never forget the sensations...but maybe it is for the good that no one can do that
But maybe that's why Art exists

Your "glorious purpose" is not your goal, your "glorious purpose" is what you are.
I simply adore that fact that the first one and the last one of LOKI episodes are named "Glorious Purpose".
But even more I like that it is so realistic of Loki and his variants to see this purpose in something that they think is worthy of their status and ambition and then say "to hell with that, im gonna do what i wanna do" and THEN find it. All three times (with Thanos, Alioth, at the grand finale) he was just brave enough to embrace himself, his affections towards someone, his desire to defend them. And the sacrifice that followed can be seen as a "glorious purpose". He is a defender.
People always seek some meaning for their existence, usually come up with anything just to fill the void. But eventually they find true significance of their life, completely on accident. Inside themselves. Because after all, you can't find your path if you don't walk it by yourself. However dark or vulnerable it may be, one should venture the road according to his own desires and personality. It's so simple yet so difficult.
Your "glorious purpose" is not your goal, not a far away island for you to reach, your "glorious purpose" is what you are, it's in the way you live (if you're staying true to yourself), in what you're ready to give the world. You are not burdened with "glorious purpose", you are more burdened with the choices that you must be make for yourself. With the necessity of bravery and hard work.
Most likely, you won't understand your "true glorious purpose" till the very end, when you will have an opportunity to look back and rethink some things. But it is fine. Because, however small, you'll see that you have actually "contributed a verse in that powerful play that goes on"
Did you understand what i've meant? Because i didn't really haha

"What will you be doing in ten/twenty/fifty years from now?" is the most stupid question in the psychological tests for me. I know why this question exists in questionnaires, but fr how am i supposed to know.
I'm taking these tests to learn smth about my current self but somehow i am supposed to know what my life will look like in a half of the century??

When we be old and ready enough to make a significant life decisions? Will we ever?
But still we have to. Trial and error method is all we have to back us up.
Sadly, errors can cost us years of our life. Then again, what is life if not a constant searching and adventure?

Couldn't agree more. That's why I decided to rewatch it after several years. Haru's struggles with understanding his own desires and dreams just does something to my heart.
to ME free! is about having to grow up too fast and make decisions too early, it's about wishing the summer and school days could last a little longer, it's about wanting to put your all, your whole self into your dreams and aspirations, to lose yourself in your passions but life and expectations and responsibilities keep pulling you back to reality, it's about being thrown into a capitalistic society and told your hobbies are only worth something if you can monetise them or be the best at them, it's about being told to grow up and move on and be realistic when that's the last thing you want to do, it's about wanting to be young and eternal and splashing in the water with your friends forever, it's about all of that being impossible and yet there is still light at the end of the tunnel, hope is not lost
but it's not really about all that (it is) because it's a sports anime about swimming
