hi!!!! not weird at all, welcome to waycest world <3 i could have sworn there was a waycest masterpost but after scouring my blog, my mutuals blogs, and everywhere else i could think of, i could NOT find it..... i also couldnt find the way bros quotes masterpost or the gway freak masterpost so i dont know what the hell happened.. everything else i can think of is more focused on fiction n fantasy than irl happenings ;-; anyway i foraged thru the wilderness myself (aka my folder of mcr pics) to find as many Waycest Fun Facts as possible for u, and my lovely friends n followers can add anything im forgetting <3 i would gladly accept some gallaghers in exchange!!

honestly theres a lot of things gerard has done on stage that are just. inexplicable. hes twerked (?) on mikey, im pretty sure we reached a consensus that he was patting mikeys ass in the gif on the right. theres so much out there in this general vein

that one time ray (lead guitar) told gerard to get away from mikey. lol

in the early 00s the brothers had an inside joke with each other about getting raped in prison together, and gerard referenced it on stage twice as far as we know, but i could only ever find one recording. i had added a link to a full clip on the gway freak masterpost but like i said thats just gone i guess and i cant find it again but heres a partial clip:

it cuts off the first part where he mentions mikey though... the whole thing goes something like, "my mama, when i was young, she took me aside and she said to me, son, you are going to go on to do a great many things. and she said to mikey, son, you too are going to go on to do a great, great many things. both of you are going on to do a great, great, great many things. the both of you are destined for the bright lights of the county jail, where every fucking day, someones going to take a sweet, sweet piece of your ass. and its going to sound like-" and then he does the moaning thing for half a minute before going into their song you know what they do to guys like us in prison, aka the prison rape song

its a well known story that when their third album the black parade was being recorded in 2006 in the paramour (a supposedly haunted mansion in la, very gothic setting) mikey was going through the worst mental health problems hed had in his life, he would regularly leave his room to instead sleep in gerards room/bed, and he ultimately left partway through and was considering leaving the band altogether. while he was away, gerard wrote the song famous last words, sent it over to him, and that was what convinced him he had to stay. note: he calls mikey "honey" in the chorus. heres an excerpt from not the life it seems: the true lives of my chemical romance by tom bryant that talks about it:

speaking of songs gerard wrote about/for mikey, the ghost of you is a love song about the singers beloved never coming home, and the mv is about mikey dying. gerard said something along the lines of "it had to be mikey. we needed the saddest thing, and that would be the saddest thing. for that song, we had to kill the most innocent person" in multiple interviews when talking about it.

the song off gerards solo album (hesitant alien) titled Brother is insane. youll notice some distorted/muffled speech in the beginning and end, and its a phone call where gerard is panicking and asking where mikey is, and the voice on the other end tells him that he killed himself. gerard has something weird going on cause between these three songs, plus the way he killed off mikeys character kobra kid in their concept album danger days, hes obsessed with mikey dying. it just keeps coming up

also, gerard was very protective over mikey in the early days. theres book excerpt or article somewhere out there talking about how, because gerard knew mikey was camera shy, he would sometimes jump in and answer questions aimed at mikey in interviews, and generally just keep him out of the spotlight. he would call mikey "everyones baby brother", he very sincerely called him "innocent" many times, said he had to be protected, stuff like that. while mikey was fully 21-24. youll notice by now most of the odd behavior is coming from gerards end; there was a reason we had a gway freak masterpost
