i'm always thinking to myself stuff like "if i can adapt to stuff, why haven't i adapted already? why does everything still hurt?

the thing that sucks is that people love saying sleep early is good etc etc and yeah it is. I've seen some benefits before. but I think it sucks to ignore that late night is the only time with any freedom. I think it sucks to not acknowledge the dread in waking up and it's a work day again

i've never understood the concept of "eldritch madness" more than i did during the times i told people, "there's so much ableist language we use all the time, like [examples], but it's so widespread and normalised!" and been told stuff like, "language doesn't matter at all" or "that's not ableist! [says something ableist]" or whatever the hell

i just remembered someone commented on a post that was like "brainrot is connected to fascism and ableism" with something like "oh my gosh, for real??? but it's so widespread so i can't even tell others that because they'll treat me like a weirdo" so i was like "welcome to the club, a lot of widespread language has roots and intricate connections to fascism and ableism and i am burdened by trauma and knowledge" and some complete rando came out of nowhere and replied directly to me in the reply thread like "people in real life: hey man hows it going" like. thank you for proving my point, random stranger who thinks i am a weirdo

one thing i like about my new therapist is that she explains everything to me before she does it. which i don't know if normal therapists are supposed to do that and i just got unlucky, or it's because my new therapist specialises in autistic patients and "i won't do what you say unless you explain exactly why in words i understand" is a common autistic experience but. i enjoy being told stuff
