i love being an android..

it allows me the -c'est qoui la phrase- the. right of repair! but for my own body

just a few minutes ago i felt my fingers getting stiff from working on a subaltern and i tinkered around for a few and used a bit of oil and now they are working smooth! when there is a problem with/in my body i can fix it!!

no more ankle cramps or joint pain too.. i remember the joy of dancing without pain for the first time.. it felt like a dream

also you can make such pretty shapes with metal that aren't available with flesh unless you chose to warp it.. and brass patinas so prettily

and really i think more dolls should embrace the freedom metal and synthetics can bring! if we're already screwing (ha!) with our biology and the nature of self so many consider to be fundamental why not- uh. flip the table? sounds right. if we are already making ourselves a beautiful melange of "real" and "artificial" then why not embrace that more fully!

some worry that you are constraining yourself with so much that can break or malfunction but bodies too are breakable, Aun above there are so many constraints with biological bodies. i will take rust over rot any of the days

i am talking far too much! i simply think more people should explore the wonderful new selves you can shape with the gift of wonderful artificiality! just because it is not what you were born with does not mean it cannot be "natural"!

a hexbug is a perfect machine. battery just small enough for its fragile little plastic housing. the motor inside vibrates to give the illusion of life, but only for the absurd task of shuffling around a flat surface randomly. oftentimes it flips over, unable to right itself, a perfect mimickry of the humble beetle. and you can build little racetracks for them. no notes. i love you hexbug.
