Maha and her two children Joan (7) and Khalil (5) are displaced in north Gaza. They are still in besieged Beit Lahiya, and need funds for transportation out of the area ($500 usd) and rent for shelter (about $2,000 usd). They also need to purchase Joan's medication, which is $500 usd, and $200 usd to buy a bag of flour that is not soiled by insects and/or mold. Anything you can give, no matter how small it seems, will help this young family survive genocide.

I am asking for help from northern Gaza. The famine is hitting us hard and my little sister Soso, pictured above, is deteriorating before my eyes. Not only is she weak and sickly, not only is her spine showing through her skin, not only is she too small for a four year old girl, she’s struggling mentally too. She has withdrawn into herself, lost interest ineverything, become more terrified of bombs and gunshots than she’s ever been since this all began. She can’t handle being separated from our mother even for a few minutes. She cries and cries for us to give her bread but we don’t have it.

I am trying really hard to keep our heads above water. Our family of ten relies on my campaign. I know you could look at it and think that we have enough money but I promise I wouldn’t keep asking if that was the case. Huge commissions are deducted from any amount and the inflation has reached levels never seen before. I am very embarrassed to rely on other people’s help but we have no other choice.

For this day of Eid al-Adha, our fourth Eid spent homeless, hungry and desperate, without gifts, sweets or beautiful clothes to give to the children, please help us. Please at least share if you can’t donate, I’ll be grateful for that too. This campaign is the only thing keeping us alive and off the street but people barely notice it anymore 😭
