“See, that’s why it’d be a waste of time for me to talk about it. You know a lot about a lot, Dr. Pym, I feel like I should be doing all the listening.” Vrolet creates a little lightning table to lean on.
“Tell me something interesting.”
“To be fair, the Ubermensch is a flawed concept, so it’s not like you would be wrong in that tangent. Just preaching to the choir a little bit.” He shrugs. “Either way, I doubt we’ll run out of things to talk about any time soon. There’s always something new going on.”

Well, you could try to be. Go on, try.
There is a reason I am not in charge of teaching actual classes here.

Vrolet smiles. “I like that last one. I mean, I’d talk to you forever anyway, but it’s nice to have a set topic every so often so you’re not just listening to me go off on a tangent about how the Ubermensch is a flawed concept or something like that.”
“Anyone can be good at technology, blonde or not.” He gave a small chuckle. “But if that doesn’t interest you, then I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop about how tech advances in that particular regard.”

That doesn’t sound very encouraging, Jo.
It is a start. I wouldn’t call it good or bad.

Is it a good one? Because I’m having doubts about that.
      Well, that is a start.

“Whoa there, Dr. Pym. I’m not blonde by choice or by chance. I know what I’m good at and it’s not technology. It’s talking, it’s sometimes philosophy, but not technology.”
“I’m sure there will be a lot of innovations related to energy technology in between now and when you’re queen of the moon, but there’s no harm in trying to plan a few ideas now. You could even try to work towards a few of them yourself.”

( in fifteen, vrolet comes flying back. )
I understood like two words in the whole manual.
[ Jocasta eyes the lightning replica for a moment, then decides to ignore it and continue about her business, waiting for the real Vrolet to return. ]

Great, see? This is why I love you, Jocasta. See you in fifteen.
( vrolet zips away, but leaves a lighting replica of her smiling face in her wake. )
I’ll be happy to help, then.

“That’s true too. Gotta’ keep backups on backups,” says Vrolet.
“Well, to be honest, it’s all hypotheticals now. I’m not becoming queen tomorrow, so something may come along even better. With minds like yours around Dr. Pym, I’m sure the current energy crises will be kind of like Y2K.”
“I suppose that could work. I was thinking it’d be better to find more efficient and less damaging ways to power things on Earth in general, but for your purposes, a system of batteries would probably do the trick.” A small nod.
“It’s still best to have redundant systems, especially since you’re going to be in space.”

I’ll need help after that.
Good. Let me know if you need any help after that.

“Good point.” Vrolet rubs her chin, and then a-has!, creating a lightning light bulb above her head.
“Okay, so. What if I power up multiple battery like generators to use here? And then we rotate through batteries, sending them to me as soon as one runs out of juice so I can recharge it, while I maintain the power of one on the moon. I’d probably need a shuttle to set it all up, sure, but it’s relatively stable, isn’t it?”
“If you have a teleporter on Earth, you wouldn’t be able to power it from the moon. You’d have to personally come down here if anyone ever wanted to teleport up there. That’s not a very practical use of your time if you’re going to be a queen.”

I’ll just download the pdf myself, Jocasta, jeez.
You’ll learn better if you do the research for yourself.

No, no. It’s all about instant gratification, Jocasta! Gotta’ know now not later.
I can look some up for you, but why not try figuring it out for yourself first?

“Source of power is me, Dr. Pym. I’m a human generator. But, well, maybe some shuttles could cover for a teleporter in hard times. If we have a small colony, it should be enough.”
“Sure, but you’d have to make sure it had a good source of power and–from my own experience–you always want a back-up for teleportation tech. You don’t want to rely too heavily on it.”

Vrolet’s eyes light up, as in lightning crackles from her pupils. “Oh, wait what about teleportation technology? A large enough and powerful teleporter could do the work of a space shuttle, right?”
“I’d imagine you’d need a few shuttles, at least, especially if you wanted to maintain any kind of relationship with planet Earth.” He strokes his chin a little. “Actually, if you expect people to be going back and forth frequently, civilian space travel is going to have to improve considerably.”

I can hide in a telephone wire, I can download information from a phone. Once I figure out how phones works. Do you have a pdf on that?
It’s possible. Striker has had a lot of success manipulating electronics.

From circuitry? I wonder if I could do something like that.
If it has circuits, I can retrieve data from it.
