chat, do we fw crooked moon ocs? (backstory and notes below!)

Fifolet (aka Fifi), is an enthusiastic fire staff performer. She was reincarnated into the land of Druskenvald as a harvestborn, but daily life in the rural province of Enoch never appealed to her. When The Revel passed through her small town, she left alongside the partygoers, learned the art of fire performance, and eventually made a warlock pact with the Great Fool. She uses her fire staff as an arcane focus, juggling and rotating it to cast spells from the flaming ends. Fifi is a showboat who loves nothing more than wowing a captive audience, but she can't help but feel she's forgotten something important about her past life...

Design/Inspiration Notes:

I knew pretty early I wanted her nickname to be Fifi, but her full name changed a few times before I settled on Fifolet!

Fifolet is the name of a cryptid/supernatural phenomenon in Louisiana where flickering blue flames appear above the marshes. They're known in other areas as will-o'-the-wisps or ghost lights. Fifolet are often characterized as pranksters that lead people astray, and I thought that concept fit a warlock of the Great Fool pretty well!

I honestly see her taking a few levels in bard in a longer campaign!

The fire inside her head is normally orange, but it becomes blue when she feels extremely intense emotions. Likewise, when she is exhausted or unconscious, her fire dims to a smaller flame.

My main inspiration for Fifi's attitude and general vibe is the song Mrs. Pumpkin's Comical Dream by hachi! It's a fun and nonsensical Halloween song with some darker undertones, and I knew I had to create a Crooked Moon character based on it.

This is my first time drawing her digitally! She's actually been an idea I've had since before the Crooked Moon alpha, lol. I have a few early concepts and doodles in my sketchbook that I may or may not show eventually

So before the dog scare i brought me a lil DnD book that some of you may know called the Crooked Moon >v> and while the odds of me DMing or playing with a group are very minimal atm, i still felt the need to make some fun lil guys based of the book's new races and world.

They're a traveling group/performance "lead" by the threadborn Pauline Linnbell, AKA Poppy, a traveling jester who wanted to take a bit of joy out her homeland and share it everywhere she goes. Is in her self imposed mission where she met several new faces and soon traveling friends. Starting with Benjamin J. Fieldtrott, a harvestborn turkey farmer with a yearning to go beyond his peaceful home and farms with his loyal mount Georgie. Hector Del Dorado, a relicborn, once a thief who's got into one too may troubles but found a convenient means to escape as poppy's "partner in crime" for some of her acts. And Agatha Astrum, a librarian and illusionist wizard azureborn who managed the courage to go into the world rather than just read and dream about it, though she doesn't know if she regrets it yet.

i'll dump a bit of info about each bellow, They have been fun to think about on the side and you bet i'll be doodling some more of them in the future >v<

Hector Del Dorado Relicborn Rogue (Thief)

A daredevil. Too lucky for his own good.

Good with small blades and darts.

Enjoys playing the guitar and telling stories occasionally.

A lot of bravado that masks his fear and worry.

Likes to goof around with Poppy and mess with Benji and Agatha. Will not step anywhere near Georgie.

Benjamin J. Fieldtrott Harvestborn Ranger (Beast master conclave)

hilariously better with animals than plants.

Strong in attitude, soft at heart.

Stuffed with more feathers than hay.

The dad of the group and the only one that can really handle Georgie. Though very weak at saying no to Poppy.

Pauline "Poppy" Linnbell Threadborn Bard (College of creation)

Traveling performer and original founder of the group.

Skilled with percussion and wind instruments, favors her Tambourine.

Very flexible, her most solid parts are her wooden head and torso. everything else if full of wool yarn and confetti.

Extremely friendly with everyone in the group, even Georgie despite his pecking.

Agatha Astrum Azureborn Wizard (School of illusion)

More of a book worm than a bird.

Good at telling and miming stories with illusions.

Very shy and easy to spook unless she's info dumping.

the "big sister" to Hector and Poppy while Benji teaches her some confidence. Doesn't mind Georgie and in return he respects her.

Georgie Crop Trotter (Is a giant turkey)

Benji's friend since he pecked out of the egg.

Favorite food: whatever is in your hands.

Likes pretty much no one but Benji, will fight and peck anything that gets too close.

I used to run track (sprinting/relays) so hearing "stick!" and seeing Hazel reach her hand back activated me and when I tell you I STARTED CLAPPING AND CHEERING
