You stare at the blank page in front of you, the Orb of Motivation next to you on your cluttered desk. You'd hope it'd help you with your upcoming project deadline that's in 3 days but you still have yet to start.

You pick up the marble looking orb with both hands and shake it some, telling it "Come on work for me here." before setting it back down. Taking a deep breath, you turn your attention back to the page. Having no ideas and, unsurprisingly, no motivation, you put on a playlist to help you focus.

The playlist did not, in fact, work. Rather than do the work you're supposed to do, you got rather motivated to create a scene of your OC doing something related to the song. By the time the song was done, you had snapped out of your trance. You looked at the orb, now illuminating a soft glow you hadn't noticed before, and a realization comes to you: the Orb of Motivation does, in fact, work.

So you gave yourself a motivator to get the project done in time: a sweet treat. And with the motivation in mind, it was done and sent in no time. All you had to do now was get up and retrieve your reward.

Hey. Just putting here how the Orb of Motivation works: if you have motivation to do something, it will multiply the motivation you have for that thing. It is a neutral object, it doesn't discriminate between "good" motivation and "bad" motivation.

However, if you have no motivation to do something, it doesn't do anything. Anything times 0 is 0 after all.

Just wanted to share in case it sounded cool enough for others to use. Also the Orb of Inspiration mentioned in the tags works the same way as the Orb of Motivation but with inspiration instead. They are not the same thing.

You stole a cursed artifact. You knew it was cursed, you actually stole it specifically because of its curse, but the curse does not seem to be affecting you.
