There was a shooting at a highschool in Broward County Florida. Stoneman Douglas Highschool. There are 20 injured. The shooter was a white man that is still around. If you are in the Parkland area, be cautious as the shooter is still around.
This is why we need stricter gun laws. We need this or more people are going to get killed.
Update: the man has been caught and is of cuban descent

Krystal Surles breaking down while testifying against Tommy Lynn Sells
It was the 31st of December 1999, when serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells entered the trailer home of Terry Harris early in the morning. Terry himself wasn’t home, but his wife and four other children were. Sells was armed with a butcher knife and went into the room were 13-year old Kaylene (Katie) Harris and 11-year old Krystal Surles were sleeping in a bunk bed. Sells lay down next to Kaylene on the bottom bunk and began sexually assaulting her, that’s when she snapped awake and began yelling for help. Kaylene tried to get up but Sells stabbed her. He then turned the bedroom light on and stabbed her a total of 16 times while slitting her throat multiple times. She died almost instantly. Sells then remembered that Krystal was laying on the top bunk and quickly slashed her throat before leaving the trailer home. Krystal pretended to be dead, but got up after a while to look for help. She thought everyone in the trailer home was dead, so she walked to a neighbor’s house to ask for help. Krystal Surles survived the attack and identified Tommy Lynn Sells as the killer.
Tommy Lynn Sells was sentenced to death on the 8th of November 2000, and was executed by lethal injection on the 3rd of April 2014

Serial killing couple, Barrie Watts and Valmae Beck, are Queensland’s most reviled child killers. They were convicted of the notorious rape and murder of 12-year-old Sian Kingi in November 1987 and sentenced to life. After Watts expressed a desire to have sex with a virgin, Beck (a mom of 6) lured Kingi away by pretending to lose her dog. Watts appeared from behind, dragging her to their car. He raped Kingi in a forest before slitting her throat as Beck assisted. Police believe they killed more girls in 1987 and were convicted of a second murder in 1995. On her deathbed in 2008, police asked Beck to reveal the location of more victims, but she died. Watts has been severely assaulted in prison, including being sodomized by knives, and will never be released.

Born in the middle of her two brothers, 7-year-old Danielle van Dam from Sabre Springs, California, was a girly girl through and through. She loved wearing dresses, dancing, and having her hair styled. Her friends described her as a sweet and quiet girl who loved to laugh and make others laugh. Danielle loved playing with her dolls and had recently enrolled in piano and ballet lessons. “She’s a sweetheart. I can’t say enough about her,” said the principal of her school.
On the 1st of February, 2002, this sweet little girl disappeared. The last time anybody saw her was when she crawled into her canopy bed wearing her favourite flower print pyjamas. Her father, Damon van Dam, tucked her into bed that night. The following morning, her mother, Brenda van Dam, went into her bedroom to wake her up only to find that she wasn’t there. Her parents knew immediately that something sinister had happened as opposed to her just running away from home; Danielle was such an obedient girl that she even asked her mother’s permission to cross the street or eat a snack.
Danielle became the subject of one of the largest search efforts in the state’s history. Her gap-toothed smile adorned thousands of missing person flowers statewide. On the 27th of February, 2002, two searched discovered Danielle’s slain body near a trail in Dehesa, California. She was nude. A cause of death could never be determined due to the advanced decomposition.
Police soon zoned in on 49-year-old David Westerfield, a neighbour of the van Dam family. On the night Danielle disappeared, her mother had been at a local bar with several friends. Westerfield had been at the same bar that evening. By the following morning, he had disappeared; he said he went to the beach in his motor home. When police searched his motor home, they found traces of Danielle’s blood and on his clothing. Inside his home, they discovered child pornography.
During Westerfield’s trial, his defence lawyer blamed Danielle’s murder on the “sex, drugs and rock and roll” lifestyle of her parents. He was eluding to the fact that they sometimes smoked marijuana and were swingers. Despite their lifestyle, however, there was no denying that they were good parents and took care of their children.
David Westerfield was found guilty and sentenced to death.

The photograph above shows the Panknin brothers posing for a photograph in Riverside State Park during the summer of 1963. From left: Ted, Bobby, Jim and Bill. This was the last photograph the boys ever took with 4-year-old Bobby Panknin before he disappeared.
It was a hot summer’s day on the 3rd of August, 1963. Three of the young brothers were hiking with their mother alongside a logging road situated near their campsite at the now-defunct Deep Lake Resort in northern Stevens County. Ted had decided to stay at the campsite that afternoon and go fishing with his father instead. As they hiked along, Bill asked his mother if he could briefly check out the nearby creek which he could hear from the trail. She agreed and told Jim to stand waiting with Bobby. They would only be a few minutes, she said. However, 6-year-old Jim decided he would follow Bill and his mother, leaving Bobby standing alone.
After just a few minutes, they returned to where Bobby had been left. Bobby was nowhere to be seen. He was gone. Over 500 people a day participated in the nine day search for Bobby, drawing thousands of volunteers deep into the remote Deep Lake area that surrounded the campsite. Bloodhounds were called in to assist in the search. They picked up a scent than ran for two miles before abruptly stopping at a fork in the road.
To this day, Bobby’s brothers still dwell on their actions that afternoon. Although they were all young children at the time, they still question what would have happened if they didn’t go to the creek or if they didn’t leave Bobby standing alone if even just for a brief moment. To this day, Bobby still remains missing.

16-year-old Micaela Costanzo was a great student and a star athlete at school. In her spare time, her mother had been teaching her how to cook. Micaela also loved writing poetry and short stories; she dreamed of becoming an author. On the 3rd of March, 2011, Micaela never called home after track practice to tell her mother that she was walking home. This wasn’t like Micaela, who always called home to let her mother know she was safe. When she didn’t return home that evening, her mother panicked and called the police to report her daughter missing.
Police were able to access Micaela’s phone records. They noticed that there was a lot of phone calls and texts from and to the same phone number immediately after she was scheduled to leave school and up until around 5PM. Then they abruptly stopped. The phone number was in the name of 18-year-old Kody Patten, a long time friend of Micaela. It was said that she once had a crush on Kody but he had a girlfriend, Toni Fratto, who was known to bully Micaela.
On day three of the search, Micaela’s body was discovered partially buried in a gravel pit in the desert approximately five miles from her home. She had been slashed and stabbed across the face and neck and her throat had been slit. She had also been bludgeoned with a camping shovel. A zip tie bounded her wrists. Kody was brought in for questioning after CCTV footage put him in the same area as Michaela as she departed the school before her disappearance. Kody’s father, who came with him to the police department, urged him to confess what happened and he did. He confessed that he was the one who killed Micaela.
While Toni wasn’t initially considered a suspect in the brutal slaying, when she met with Kody’s lawyer, she confessed that she had participated in Micaela’s murder. The confession was recorded and played later in court. “She wanted to date him and get to know him but he didn’t want anything to do with her,” she said. She confessed that she sat on Micaela’s legs as Kody slit her throat. It was also revealed during trial that Kody had been a controlling and abusive boyfriend during his relationship with Toni. CCTV footage once caught him lifting her by the throat and choking her in the school grounds.
Toni pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 18 years. Kody pleaded guilty to first degree murder to avoid the death penalty and was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Pictured: Melinda Loveless, Laurie Tackett, Hope Rippey and Toni Lawrence. All four girls were charged and Convicted for the murder of 12-year-old Shanda Sharer in 1992 in Madison, Indiana. Melinda Loveless had a bitter hatred for the 12-year-old girl, telling friends that she disliked Shanda for being a copycat and stealing her girlfriend, Amanda Heavrin. Heavrin and Loveless had previously dated, while Shanda and Amanda were in a relationship at the time of the murder. The four girls lured Shanda to an isolated place, known as “the Witch’s Castle”, by telling her that Amanda Heavrin was there waiting for her.  Once all five reached the Witch’s Castle, they bound Shanda’s arms and legs with rope. The girls started a small fire but extinguished it and left the area due to fears of being seen by people passing by. The group of girls got back into the car and drove to the end of some woods near Laurie Tackett’s house in Madison. Once there, Loveless and Tackett made Sharer strip naked, then, Loveless beat the girl with her fists. Loveless continued to beat her by slamming Sharer’s face into her knee. Loveless attempted to slit Sharer’s throat, but the knife was not sharp enough. Instead, Loveless and Tackett repeatedly stabbed Sharer while Hope Rippey held the girl’s legs down. Even after this, Sharer continued to make noise. So Tackett beat her with a tire iron until she was quiet. They then drove to a gas station to purchase two litres of gasoline. They went on to drive to another location where they burned the poor girl alive. Upon leaving, Loveless was not convinced that Sharer was dead, so the group returned to immolate Shanda Sharer once again. Toni Lawrence ended up confessing to the heinous crime which lead to the arrest of all four girls.
Toni Lawrence was sentenced to 20 years but released after serving 9 years.
Hope Rippey was originally sentenced to 60 years, but the judge reduced it to 35 years. Rippey was released after serving 14 years and spending 5 years on probation.
Melinda Loveless and Laurie Tackett were both sentenced to 60 years with time reduced for good behaviour. Both women could be released from prison in 2020.

On 23 December, 1974, 17-year-old Mary Rachel Trlica, 14-year-old Lisa Renee Wilson, and 9-year-old Julie Ann Moseley went shopping for Christmas presents at the Seminary South Shopping Centre in Fort Worth, Texas. The girl’s never returned home that night and their families phoned the police. The car they had gone in was discovered inside the shopping centre’s car park. Christmas presents were found inside the car, indicating that they had returned to the car at some point during the day. The following day, Rachel’s parents received a letter claiming to be from Rachel in which she told them that the three girls had gone on a trip to Hoston and that they would return the following week. The girls never returned. Eyewitnesses claimed that they saw the three girls being bundled into a vehicle by a group of men and another claimed they saw them sitting in a security guard’s truck at approximately 23:30 the night they disappeared. They became known as the “Fort Worth Three” and what happened to them is still unknown.
