I couldn't remember at the time whether he was asked to do the sketching, or if it was in writing. The burning yellow candles and the essence of tarrot decks rested on the floor. The basement atelier has always been dark and moist and I could hardly pay attention to anything because of this constant feeling of anxiety. It made me sick, I festered the thing with my vomitous mass. Stressing my body to hold the plaque in front of my miniature of existence, I freezed. What is this thing? This melting candle, the insides, forming sentences on the plaque, I could not tell if it was something to read or perceive. A face, a presence, a deterioration. Who was this man, this artist I summoned? A shuttering glimpse of eternity filled my wholeness. It didn't matter anymore, his face I could not see anymore.
