If there's one video game trope I unreservedly love, it's the Inexplicably Cool Mid-Boss. Some fucker with their own theme song and an objectively cooler design than the main villain just rocks up partway through some random mid-game dungeon and kicks your ass for three to five minutes, never to be mentioned again.

Me: my god.. i did it.. i killed him..!
Angel on my shoulder: we're extremely fortunate. You shot him in the side of the head and you're wearing gloves. Place the gun in his hand and set the house ablaze. Officer Goger's tragic suicide will be the perfect cover story
Devil on my shoulder: Goger was always eating stuffing and spelt wheat and steel cut oats. Bet he'd taste reeeeal good on a spit with an apple in his mouth. Come on, i've seen the way you've looked at him..

This is an important detail I want to touch upon, because one of the most common Zionist slogans is the myth of the "Desert wasteland waiting to bloom" as to legitimize colonialism, because of the assumption that Palestine was barren and uncultivated, thus we see many Zionists make the argument that it was the Settlers and the Halutz who were responsible for the afforestation and agricultural planning in the Holy Land. Zionists would often have an oriental and racist imagery of Arabs as savages and desert dwellers, who barely toiled the land. However, this is addressed by Ahad Ha'am, an early Zionist thinker, in the Truth from Eretz Yisrael. Interestingly enough Ha'am was among the first Zionist intellectuals to address the "Arab question" following his journey to the Holy Land in 1891.
The first instance of the "desert bloom" myth appears in Theodor Herzl's novel Altneuland in 1902, where he popularized the idea of Palestine as an uncultivated land, waiting to be toiled. Altneuland was the first of his works where he outlined his visions for the future Jewish state. However, as opposed to Herzl - despite never having set foot in the land in his lifetime - Ha'am preceded Herzl and refuted the myth that the land was uncultivated, arguing that it was barely possible to find land to purchase that wasn't already cultivated by the native population.
Once again, I implore you to read the literature of early Zionist thinkers as they provide an earnest idea of political Zionism as a settler colonial project, as opposed to the historical revisionism provided by a liberal Zionist.
