life works out. i cannot stress this enough. life always works out. it always turns out in your favor even if it doesn’t go according to the original plan. you may be utterly confused and lost right now, it may feel like everything is falling apart and there is nothing you can do to salvage any of it. but believe me when i say that this is just a transition period. things are constantly changing and evolving around you even if you can’t actively see that. life is changing you to prepare you for what is to come. you are growing and as you grow you are being built into the person that you are going to be. because see, life always has this funny way of working out.Â

I can’t emphasise this lesson enough.
The ONLY way to truly grow, flourish and get what you want is to do the OPPOSITE of what your comfort zone tells you to do.
Everything you dream of in life? The incredible potential within you that is ready to be fulfilled? That’s all waiting for you on the other side of your comfort zone. When you’re faced with a decision that needs to be made, doing the scary thing will be what gives you the opportunities you need and desire; as well as turbocharging your inner evolution into someone stronger, self-respecting, smarter, savvier, happier and more confident.Â

Some reminders for school
No matter what that damn paper says, your report cards don't define your human worth. They're just letters based off a system that is extremely flawed. Not everyone is able to handle it. And it's ok if you "failed"
You're a human being. Not a working machine. If the homework and tests become too much to handle that is ok. Your feelings are valid and deserve to be respected. Just take a short break and be kind to yourself
No matter what you think of your appearance, just know not everyone is looking at you in class even when it feels like it. Everyone has their insecurities, nobody has the time to focus on a single person for so long. And trust me, you're pretty enough as is
You don't need to spend every lunch time, every free period, etc working. Just catching your breath and unwinding a bit is good enough. It's better to help your mental health than to overwork yourself
Even when it may not seem like it I and so many others are proud of you. This world is cruel, especially towards those with mental issues and disabilities. You fighting this much and still trying despite the odds is good enough to make anyone proud
You're going to make it. You're going to be ok. You won't "go down the wrong path" and you won't "fail at life". Take some breaths, this is not the end. You're still trying. You're still going. You're a good enough person even when you mess up. You'll survive this and you will see the happy future you dreamed of. Just hang in there, ok?
Good luck this year, and don't forget these things. Please

back-to-school reminders
spend a lot of time figuring out and setting up an organization system that works for you. it seems boring, but it’s going to help you so much!
explore new things, but don’t overextend yourself and end up exhausted.Â
eight hours of sleep sounds like a lofty goal during the year, but make it your priority to get as close to that as you can. your body’s going to thank you!
stay on top of your assignments. spending your night doing homework might not be ideal, but do you really want to spend your weekend catching up on the reading you were supposed to be doing all week?Â
write down everything you have to do. never rely on memory alone; students lead ridiculously busy lives and there’s a reason you have that planner.
talk to your teachers the moment you start struggling. raise your hand; go in for office hours. they don’t bite. most of the time. if you have a teacher whose teaching you just can’t understand no matter what (this is totally normal, don’t worry), then talk to your friends or maybe another teacher in the department to get help. there’s also a wealth of resources online.
sometimes you need to pick hanging out with your friends over doing homework. don’t feel guilty - you deserve time with them.Â
please don’t pull all-nighters. but if you don’t have another choice, take quick power naps in the middle of the night to keep yourself healthy and alert.
you won’t be perfect all the time - you’re human! it’s okay! learn to love yourself no matter what.Â

just a reminder that there’s so much more that we still don’t know about ourselves and that’s what makes life so beautiful. next year you could find your next favorite musician or fall in love with someone you haven’t even met yet. you might see a new shade of green that will become your new favorite color or you could become obsessed with a new food that you thought you once hated. we change as life goes on. we grow as life changes. our experiences shape us into a new person. it’s beautiful.

Hi! I love your blog sm <3 I was wondering if you have any studying tips for people that have a really hard time focusing?
I highly recommend the pomodoro method. Work in time blocks that allow enough time for you to get something done but not overwhelm yourself. If you have inertia difficulties, then make your study goals just 5 minutes a day. That’s it. Tell yourself that you only have to study for 5 minutes. Do the 5 minutes and decide if you are capable of doing more (which I’m sure you are) and start working in pomodoro sessions. Have reasonable goals that you can do consistently every day.
Try studying at a different time of day, eat before you study, and play around with different types of background noise. Completely silent? Music with lyrics? Instrumentals? A show? A movie? Ambience sounds? Asmr? Study live-streams? Try them all and find out what works for you. Different things work for me on different days and that may be the case for you as well.
Lastly, you need to get rid of distractions. You can’t enter flow state if you’re responding to texts every 4 minutes.

change is hard. saying goodbye to comfortable-yet-destructive patterns takes a ton of work, but it must be done in order for your growth to be fruitful. if you know that something you do has proven to continuously hinder your success, you need to put in the work to remove that habit from your life. whether that be spending too much time online, overeating on bad foods, allowing negative people to stay in your life, neglecting hygiene in favor of pure laziness -- the list goes on and on; you can't let comfort and ease lead you to ruins. the familiarity and simplicity that comes with staying the same is hard to resist. I get it, I do. but you and I both know that you already took a long hard look at yourself and pinpointed what was wrong, how you can change it, and why it should be changed. don't keep settling for the easy route. do what needs to be done to make it over that hump, no matter how hard it is to steer away from those harmful choices. when you feel the fire burning your hand, don't leave it there. pull it out! your best interest depends on you taking your hand out the fire as soon as you feel it burning you.
