I think I’m going to leave this blog now. I haven’t been on it much anyway but I’ll try to update it if I ever receive anymore letters from either Aza or Dias 😊 I (really really really) hope to write to Jahar. I want to hear from him before we can’t no more. It’s hard to explain how sadden I am by current circumstances and a corner of my heart will always be broken for the boys. It’s been a crazy rollercoaster ride but I’ll never regret giving them my support.

So, is this why math is taught? To add the dead sums? To subtract the weakest and count the tally of defeats?

Do we learn to read to skim what we want to see, To deceive the eyes from studying between the lines?

And how can we demand for repentance and remorse, If we rather hold up crosses than be saviors?

Death is not the answer to all questions It’s makes you question all the answers. 

But let’s play with our devices To reverse a fate that started In the wrong place with the wrong face. Tell him the low ceiling will become his sky Because the stars belong to us. That we’ll use his greater sins To preserve a lonely innocence. And that in the the shallow grave of our memories Is where we will bury him alive.

But once we create a divide and incite What is right and wrong, black and white We’ll fail to know that everyone is colorblind in the dark. That even mercury is a rill of water to a thirsty world. A knowledge that sickens.

So, when Marvin Gaye has us singing off-key, And the circumstances don’t seem so “alright“ Ask “If those who toast in victory write the books, Then what do we win?“

I wrote to Dias a few months ago and never heard anything back, he always used to write back. is he okay?

He’s ok. Please don’t take it personal, it’s nothing against anyone and please trust me when I say he absolutely appreciates the support. It’s not just you…he had to make the decision to stop writing people and hasn’t done so with anyone in months.

Two months?! Does it usually take that long to receive a letter from them?

Nope! It usually takes couple weeks (international shipping) depending on when he writes back, the volume of correspondence in the mail room, problems that might happen on airmail and things like that. The reason mines came so late was because I was being silly. I should have called to be sure >.< but I thought the rule was you can’t send care packages routinely so I thought since I never sent him anything before I thought I could send him something with my letter just a small package of basic Korean dried food snacks like Saewookkang, Pollypong, Pepero for him to try, nothing big! They sent it all back with my letter saying the package wasn’t permissible and that my letter was given wet.?! So I resent the letter several weeks later (a belated birthday!) and got his letter in later March (p_q)

Letters from Dias: Birthday Wishes (10th Feb.)

Abashedly late on this but his last letter arrived two months a little too late :S I asked him what he wished for on his birthday in Jan, and these were what he wrote back. He’s a very nice person to write to and could write back and forth with you about anything. He likes to draw a lot when there is not much to do, he talks about his favourite movies (he said he loved My Neighbour Totoro when I asked him hehe) and he misses being with his family very much.
