For anyone wondering. Yes I still play the sims, but more like 1-2 times a week now. I’m training for a race, and working on some improvements post cut (body building), and I also have a puppy who doesn’t shut up so very little time for sleep (and the sims!)

I have a whole backlog of photos I just have to sit down and schedule. I love poking around here to see the new mods and what everyone’s sims are up to. ❤️

I have found it!

The lots not placing issue is from my defaults folder. When I take it out and build I have zero issues. Now to figure out what in the world could be in a default replacement folder to stop certain lots from being placed…

I have found the cause—while simultaneously not knowing what it is, LOL. Some default colonial shutters, probably a store default replacement? I must have downloaded it for a build. Anyway, it is gone now, and I can enjoy my save!

So many weird things make the Sims 3 freak out.

Sadly it doesn’t seem like it’s any of my guesses! I’ll put a hold on this for now. I can just build by pulling the default folder out of my game and adding it back when I’m playing regularly. It’s not like I build a lot asides from setting up a save.

Has anyone made hospital or restaurant lots for the final version of boroughburg?

Might end up turning the base camp to an office building with an attached restaurant.

MonocoDoll's Menstrual Cycle Mod

Mod Description

The MonocoDoll's Menstrual Cycle Mod aims to provide players with a mechanic that introduces Menstrual Cycle's to sims of the female sex. This provides extra factors that you need to keep in mind. Such as when it is safe to Woohoo to avoid pregnancy, when you are most likely to conceive, being stocked on supplies for bleeding, as well as being lied to by other sims about it being a safe day or them being on birth control (Being lied to is tunable).

Inspiration

The Menstrual Cycle System from WonderfulWhims for the sims 4 was a huge inspiration for developing this mod. It should be noted, that I never played WonderfulWhims, but I loved seeing reviews of the Menstrual Cycle System from that mod. And I would have most likely enjoyed it had I decided to continue playing TS4 after I moved to PC gaming.

The weirdest things cause problems in this game. I was wondering why my game was suddenly using so much ram.

Took a sim to an inactive party and saw one of the toddlers had the floating hair age up thing going on. Took him into stylist and changed his hair. Ram use then drops 500 mb…

Man I love sims 3’s open world but it’s so funny that actively simulating one glitched out toddler is was eating up this much ram 😂

Snowflake day with the Ashs. Pregnancy coming along fine, and I've been granting all their baby-related wishes.

Theresa has a therapy session because I have her listed as one of the sims that go regularly (She's absent-minded and afraid of water.)

So far the Ash household has been testing out new mods with me (vile ventures Instagram update, routine planner, the Christmas tree, and such!) so I haven't decided on their personal motives as characters yet.
