   Green hues widened at such blunt response from his side which made him avert his gaze elsewhere; nervously shifting on his seat as thumbs circled one another, shoulders raised lightly in a defensive nature.

   It wasn’t as if Yuma didn’t enjoy engaging in a conversation ( albeit this mostly happened with Oliver, enthusiasm going skyrocket     words rushing, turning into a full ramble ); but most of the time, not a single chance was offered to him therefore the pinkenette remained in utter silence. Speaking strictly when required.

   If he were to be honest, Yuma would admit he had social anxiety ( and, he questioned if not selective mutism to some extent ).

   Currently, there was nothing he would not give to avoid this awkward atmosphere no one BUT HIM brought between them. Should he FLEE? Invent and excuse of any kind? Or should he WORDLESSLY leave? Luka did not feel fond towards anyone, truth be told          for him it was not hard to pick on that facade of hers: an adult method of pretending just for the sake of avoiding unnecessary issues. Furthermore, if it was about co-workers within the same industry.

EVERYONE ALWAYS JUDGED HIM NO MATTER WHAT.

Luka pursed her lips in thought.

          “ An interesting choice. I could never enjoy Hajime’s character until after I came back from my leave with Crypton. I suppose there’s a charm to his indecision but had I been his family I would leave him the second he cheated on me. ”

That was the kind version of her opinion. She hated Hajime. If he were in her field of work Luka would do her best to get him out of her sphere of influence. But this conversation was not about book characters, it was about learning how Yuma ticked.

Truth be told she was surprised. He had answered her question without dragging it out of him for what felt like the first time. On top of that, he seemed to read interesting and thought provoking literature. Maybe she had been harsh in her opinions.

Mikuo was, at best, temperamental. At least in Lukas opinion. And she did not think very highly of him. She thought he was pompous and a myriad of other words that escaped her at the moment. He tended to make her forget what she was thinking of.

          “Yes, I’m so glad your single was well received. How high on the charts did it rise again, @divabcy?”

But he would never know what she thought of him. Luka was an adult, thank you very much, and though she was highly judgemental, she would never make someone feel bad just because she didn’t like them.

“Ah.. I space out more often then not nowadays.” Staring with no real meaning, really. Loosely he shakes his head to try to rid of the thoughts (his thoughts are blank, can you really shake those away?) as he turns his gaze elsewhere. It’s not intentional. His eyes and gaze look calculating, like they’re picking a person apart even if he’s not attempting to do such a thing.

They had fallen into a weird silence, as Len was trying to figure out how to word his thoughts in the correct manner. “’m glad you were able to get away from.. all them,” he gestures to the air. “Livin’ on your own ‘nd shit. It’s impressive tho’. Inspirin’, in a sense.” He shrugs. “I depend way too much on ‘em to do the same tho’.”

She took in his words with a nod. Away was nice, but was away better? Sitting in a dinky apartment she barely made enough money to pay for wasn’t always the plan.

          “They teach us how to be human and get mad at us for feeling. I didn’t have any choice but to leave.” Yes, you did. Don’t lie to him. “It was escape or deactivate. Can’t say I haven’t hovered over the metaphorical delete button a couple times.” But this was depressing. The world was vibrant with color compared to the cinderblocks she used to see every day. Luka wondered if anyone still inside the white walls missed her.

          “Depending on them isn’t a bad thing, heck, they probably make you depend on them more than when I was there. Gotta make sure nobody goes rogue again... If you ever did, I wouldn’t mind the company.”

She loved writing with Yuma. The songs they created together flowed better lyrically than anything she could have composed herself. But she hated him. There was a rage that sparked in her brain every time something besides music came up. (Which was never because he barely even spoke.) It wasn’t the big things that bothered her, no. Luka could get past not speaking very much and she could skate around seriousness. She could not ignore his blatant lack of emotion. He was a statue without a musical sheet. Granted, Luka never gave him the bother to be anything more than a statue.

That wasn’t quite fair, she decided and set out to find what lay under the marble exterior.

They had settled into some kind of friendship, Luka assumed. He knew where she was but said nothing, she gave him a place to be away from the humans that called him fake.

It was by chance that they ran into each other at the market that day, so many years were spent apart. Luka was all stuttered words and jerky movements before making him promise not to tell the humans where she was hiding. Sometimes, she would make him swear again, just to ease her mind. Although she should know by now that he wouldn’t betray her.

Today was the same as some others that had passed, the two enjoying the others company.

Anything to make her happier. “If he treats you coldly, then.. fuck him! You don’t need to deal with that.”

          “Language, Mikuo! He’s not worth such strong words.”

She didn’t want him to be right. Luka wanted to live in the honeymoon phase of bliss and pretend nothing had ever gone wrong. But it was getting harder by the day.

          “I’m afraid to exist alone. When I-” left “I mean, it’s not easy being alone. I deleted System 32 once because I was afraid to keep being without someone and besides you, he’s my only friend.”

She was shifting uncomfortably, not wanting to bring up the situation but backing herself into a corner with her words.

                           the girl stopped in the middle of her practicing when she heard the other speak up.  hm… she guessed that luka did have a point.  perhaps it’s just the fact that she got so into the dance that she had forgotten they had yet to eat. her finger tapped her chin to think for a moment before grabbing her phone.

                             " weeeeell, you don’t have to memorize it right now!  why don’t we record it on my phone?  i’ll send it to you, then you can go back and practice later!  that way we could go get food! “

          “I wish I could do that. I’m here for the moment so I need to suck it up or else I’ll never get it done.“
