omg that is...wow
Ok just had an Idea
Miles, as a child in the DL-6 incident, throws the gun with his right arm
Miles, when you meet him as an adult, has the sprite where he's uncomfortable and grabs his right arm, ESPECIALLY when DL-6 is brought up on Turnabout Goodbyes
It's as if he's restricting himself from doing something like that again AND/OR that arm-grab is a physical trauma response
Anyway

Top five Wrightworth Fanfics?
Oh god, why would you ask someone that? ASK THEM TO EXPOSE THEIR CRAPPY TASTE IN FANFIC.
… WELL WHY NOT.
(some things to know about me and my SPECIFIC FANFIC TASTES UP FRONT: things I live for include, oneshots over multichapter, fluff (ESPECIALLY CUDDLING FLUFF), hurt/comfort, filling in “missing scenes” from canon, and GRATUITOUS MILES ANGST as long as it has a happy ending).
5. “Miles Edgeworth is a Complicated Man” by withpractice_ff on AO3.
Not the happiest of fics, but pretty much dealing more directly with Narumitsu and Miles’s issues between the end of Turnabout Goodbyes and the end of Farewell, My Turnabout and all the darkness and messiness that entails. Deals with death and themes of suicide.
4. “Kintsugi” by darkageofthelol on AO3, but better known as @chiefprostitutor on here (I WILL PROMOTE YOUR WORKS FOR YOU, ANDEE)
Or first-hand proof that I will endure the darkest of Edgeworth angst as long as it has a happy ending in the form of Narumitsu. This one deals DIRECTLY with an attempted suicide, so serious warning there. An incident in Edgeworth’s young life in the von Karma household is the real reason why he always wears that cravat, but at the end Phoenix offers him a different way to look at it.
3. “By Magic” by ergane on AO3
NO ANGST HERE, JUST PURE BEAUTIFUL FLUFF. The best possible outcome of the part in Turnabout for Tomorrow that proves Edgeworth went to see one of Trucy’s magic shows. JUST BEAUTIFUL TOOTH-ROTTING FLUFF AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE.
2. “Frozen” by anonymous on the Ace Attorney Kink Meme
Okay so if you have an issue with “terrible violent things happen to a character so that hurt/comfort and OTP times ensue” then this might not be the fic for you. But if you live for hurt/comfort then DO I HAVE A FUCKING FIC FOR YOU. I am usually NOT a fan of multichapters/long fics because often I feel they meander from their original purpose, or get boring and padded, but I NEVER lost interest in this one. Phoenix gets caught up in a PARTICULARLY dangerous case, and after suffering severe physical trauma, Miles takes it upon himself to track down the culprits and provide TOTALLY PLATONIC support as he heals (featuring my all-time favorite version of Miles realizing his “UNNECESSARY FEELINGS” and the most accurate reaction he has to that).
1. “Sleepless” by anonymous on the Ace Attorney Kink Meme
Okay, I’ll be real, this is not really the “best-written” fic on this list. A few sentences make me raise my eyebrow, and some of the typos still bug me. HOWEVER, this is number one for being the fic I’ve read THE MOST (AN EMBARRASSING AMOUNT), and being basically aimed directly at Azuresquirrel’s Exact Interests. IT IS ASTOUNDINGLY SIMPLE IN ITS AIMS: Phoenix and Miles end up in the same hotel room. Earthquake happens. BED-SHARING AND CUDDLING ENSUES. This fic hits me direct in my lizard brain desires for Narumitsu. I mean I know, it’s like the most cliche Ace Attorney fic premise ever, but this is the best-executed version of it I’ve seen in providing EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT FROM THIS SCENARIO while keeping pretty darn close to in-character. MY ULTIMATE “COMFORT FOOD” FIC.
Anyway, you are all free to judge my fanfic tastes forever based on this post.

I am having trouble with IB Chemistry and I was wondering on how I can improve? Please help.
Hey :D Here are some suggestions:
Take syllabus notes
This applies for most IB subjects, with the exception of maths in my opinion. Taking notes was my method of understanding a new topic - I would try to change the stuff in the book into drawings / my own words (like I do here on Science Scribbles), thus making sure I truly understand it. Also for me it helped a lot to visualize the concepts & to make analogies, so you can try doing that as well ^^
Take notes according to the syllabus ASAP (using the Cornell method preferably), don’t worry if you’re behind your class - make sure you do it chronologically and make sure you understand everything in the chapter before moving on!
Do all the exercises in the book
Whenever you’re done with a chapter, try to do all the exercises in the book for the chapter. I remember those exercises being pretty good. If you know how to do them, you’re usually pretty well off for the exam. It doesn’t hurt to do them several times! If you have time, dig up old papers and do them as well - but prioritize the exercises in the book if you’re short on time ^^
Divide into “long-term and short-term memory”
Okay this is a quick tip: open up your book, go to the contents page, and sort all the sub-chapters into “long-term” and “short-term” memory. Everything mathematical goes to the long-term category, because once you learn it, it will take a while before you forget it. Everything that’s pure memorizing (like bond angles & all the reaction equations etcetc.) goes to short-term (not the organic compounds stuff though, they come way too often so try to memorize them ASAP).
Now you can forget about the short-term stuff for a while. If you stumble upon them in past papers, just look up the answers. Focus on the long-term things, and make sure you know how to do them.
A couple days before a test / exam, start working on the short-term things. Take out a piece of paper and write down everything you need to memorize. Then try to do it without looking - and once you make a mistake, correct the mistake, then start all over. Repeat until you manage to do EVERYTHING correctly, without making a single mistake. Then do it at least once everyday until the exam. This is a little pointless to do a long time before the exam, because you’ll end up forgetting either way, so don’t waste time doing it hahah
Make sure you understand chapter 1
The entire chapter 1 (stoichiometry) falls into the “long-term memory” category, and it’s vital you know this chapter well! Everything in this chapter will come over and over again. All the exam questions have something from this chapter. Don’t move on before you’ve understood everything!!
Make sure you understand EXACTLY where you don’t understand
Don’t go “I don’t know chemistry” or “I understand nothing”. Try to remember where you last did understand something, and figure out exactly where it went wrong. Then work from there ^^
Read from different resources
Once you’ve figured out where you don’t understand, try to read about it from as many different resources as possible. Read from different books, study guides, online resources, videos, and get as many different people to explain to you as possible. This will help you understand & remember the new concepts, and help you use it in a lot more flexible way, because people tend to use different examples / understand it differently, so you get to see the big picture.
