That scene between Rani and Gita in Goodbye Sarah Jane Smith really gets me bc GOD what an insight into Gita

Knowing her daughter has this important relationship with Sarah Jane that she’ll never understand, that Rani won’t share with her - that makes her feel jealous and left out but she never tries to stop it! Or interfere or anything because she sees how important Sarah Jane is to Rani and loves Rani too much to try and jeopardise that! At her own expense!!

She’s the one who convinces Rani that Sarah Jane wouldn’t just leave!!

Gita says Sarah Jane wouldn’t leave because she loves you too much! Because she loves Luke too much! And I know because I love you too! Even though we don’t have the same connection, even though I’ll never fully understand all your secrets, I love you so much that I’ll step aside so that you can be happy

i’m ngl part 1 of a doctor who finale hasn’t gagged me that much in ages. bringing back a classic villain like that feels exciting and really fresh (idek who sutekh is but i haven’t felt the scale of doom this much since davros). and the trickster mention had me shook 😭
