Hey, IV! I saw Lilia and Jade having a hushed convo in the hallway earlier today. Couldn't make out much, but as I walked by it sounded like they were talking about something that happened between their dorm leaders that they're trying to work out as vice dorm leaders. They definitely seemed a little exasperated. Do you have any details on that? Those two don't really talk to each other ever...

“Oh, is that so?” Lilia’s eyes widen as he blinks in surprise, almost propping his face with his hand. “My, that does look serious...”

A sigh follows from his lips — Lilia’s expression is that of a disappointed parent that their kid misbehaved yet again, and they’re powerless before the unfortunate consequences. To think, Malleus, a heir to the throne, decides to pick a fight — a subtle one, akin to calculated steps, but a fight still — with another dorm leader, and it had to be the one that’s proven to be a fearsome opponent already.

And yet, neither of poor vice dorm leaders knew the root of this discord.

“I am glad to see that you understand the situation we are in, Mr. Vanrouge.” Jade’s ever polite tone, tinted with a hint of (rather fake) apology, borders on the whisper (no curious ears can be listening to this, after all). He was the one who managed to catch the ever elusive bat and pull him aside.

Sometimes students could swear the moray eel brothers were always watching: nothing ever slips unnoticed by them — and this particular piece of information reached Jade’s curious nature by rather dubious means as usual; but to think the issue went that far that Azul himself felt bold enough to drop a remark or two towards Malleus, acting oh so innocent.

Truly, if it gets out of hand...

It won’t be good for anyone involved, now will it?

“And it doesn’t help that Sebek really managed to get baited by Azul back then, huh...” Another sigh escapes Lilia’s lips — seriously, how much trouble this kids can even cause? You would tell them to not strike any deals with a suspicious person who just so happens to be the dorm leader of Octavinelle, but it still falls on ears deaf to sane reason when issues concern Malleus... Loyalty is a trait much desirable and valued greatly but having an excess of anything is never good.

“You’re most certainly right.” It is now Jade’s turn to sigh, but in a second corners of his mouth curved in a slight smile. “However, he was a rather nice customer, and the mere thought of losing him pains me.” It would rather pain Azul than Jade though, but these are peculiarities that mattered not. “I trust you will try your best to handle this, Mr. Vanrouge.”

“Absolutely, and I expect nothing less from you too, Jade.”

If a curious student decided to steal a glance in that darkened hallway, they would certainly be alarmed by nonchalant attitude’s contrast with the secrecy of the discussion: as if vice dorm leaders were chuckling at a joke.

To think that they both were altruistic enough to be concerned with solving the conflict between their dorm leaders — ah, that would be utter naivety, surely.

GENERAL

Please avoid being rude! That includes ‘mean jokes’ as I may have trouble understanding it is supposed to be a joke, and not everyone’s sense of humor is the same. Politeness goes a long way.

I might be slow as I don’t always have energy to write, and I have other writing projects! I also tend to be a slow writer, especially when it comes to characters I haven’t written much.

Main Story spoilers will be tagged for a month after the chapter’s last batch’s release (e.g. if the end to a chapter is released on 28th, I will tag it until the 28th of the next month), and for events everything is tagged as spoilers until the end of that event. Tag I will use is ‘twst spoilers /’ if you need to blacklist or filter it.

Not a native English speaker, meaning I might make mistakes. 

Please understand that all characters have their flaws! That means some get along well, some do not, and that’s completely fine. This is important to canon & reader requests!

To clarify the above: I try to write characters not as a collection of tropes but as people. There are things they don’t like in others, there are certain dislikes, and most definitely there are motivations and fears. 

I absolutely adore character study & character development!

I can write in either first person pov, second person pov or third person pov! Feel free to specify which one you would like to see. Canon & reader are second person pov from reader’s view only.

I write canon characters mainly based on my headcanons, which are in turn based on their personal stories & canon material I’ve read, so there can be differences in how different people view the same character. Please, keep it in mind!

In addition to the above, there can be certain triggers that appear in characters’ backstories or behavior as either part of canon or headcanons. I use ‘trigger /’ & ‘trigger mention /’ format for tagging said posts along with placing content warnings before the text. For the list of possible triggers please refer to this post. If I miss something or if you want me to tag something for filtering purposes, don’t hesitate to shoot me an ask!

Reposting is forbidden. Translation is allowed only with my permission. Please don’t be rude about it, as it is my content and I want to control where it appears.
