Sometimes I think about this time at my ex workplace where two guys came in ordering ice cream, and I was helping them at the register as one does. I had asked them if they were together or separate. Because it's normal to pay for someone else's ice cream or to pay for ur own... One immediately said no and one immediately said yes a few seconds later. I think about how closested the poor guy who said no immediately was cuz it was too fast for him to not have thought about it before. I wonder if they ever had a conversation about that. Or maybe it was a date and the guy who said yes and was paying was dumbfounded at the guy who said no's reaction. There is no telling. They were both like. 30 and with beards.

Apparently my options if I wed are "male" and "cat"... so that says a lot about my future according to the children.

was at orientation for job today. kept making fun of the guy speaking and the only thing he could repeat was the word appropriate for ages. we were talking about appropriate phone use. that posting online was inappropriate phone use.

the only thing I could think the whole time was that I wanted to post on Tumblr that once upon a time I thought I would secretly do numbers on Twitter.

anyway here I am. doing no numbers on Tumblr either.

Usually, I set the height of these images to be equal to that of the subject which I am displaying. This Beard Dweller is an exception. I've left the height of this image equal to that of the liberal/standard stick figure seen in my inaugural post, to offer a sense of comparison. At roughly 20cm tall, Beard Dwellers have adopted an exceedingly fascinating lifestyle that revolves around group efforts to achieve basic goals, much in the same way that an ant colony might function. They are much more social amongst each other than any other species. Additionally, they are also quite mischievous - largely because their small size allows them to act without being seen. Their small size also allows them to hide much more effectively than any other example of stick life, which further contributes to their sleight of hand.

The name "Beard Dweller" comes from the fact that they have been known to reside in the beards of people on occasion.

Pac-Men are horrifying creatures who go around eating people. You should probably avoid them, which isn't too challenging due to their lack of intellectual ability.

Pig Person Pig People have a rather affluent society, if you look past their prominent ears and large snouts.

As a former librarian I'm actually required to remind you that many libraries that subscribe to Libby are opted into a program that lets you subscribe and access magazines for free with no wait

And that this is actually a really fun, low cost way to not only access news and larger cultural magazines, but also to get free patterns for many different crafts that you can screenshot if need be and that lower the financial barriers to entry for trying new things

From my experience working in both academic and public libraries, many libraries are use it or lose it funding-- I have to say this because a lot of patrons feel guilty for how much they use the library and how often they're using it funny enough, but the worst thing you can do for libraries is not try out new features and not use what's already given to you as much as possible.

The numbers that come as a result of your patronage are how most libraries justify their continued existence in times of financial hardship, which sucks but, go check out some magazines on Libby!
